I have read some of the bad reviews about this product and in my opinion I have to say they are heavily misguided. This tool is awesome and I can't praise it enough.First off... I did not buy this tool from Amazon. I purchased it at Screwfix (pardon my French), click and collect Battersea branch lol. Ok that out of the way!Ok what are the pros and cons vs jigsaw...?The pros are too vast in comparison...Firstly you don't need a power outlet so the cost powering this device is nill. Secondly dust extraction is nonessential. You can pick up most of the waste by hand and sweep up the finer bits with dustpan and brush. Because I care about my health and safety whenever I use any of my power tools...

Amazingly easy to use. Makes quick work of laying down the floor. I did mine with the help of my 13 year old daughter. Yes it does take a small slice out of the plank but this was not a problem. Yes it does make the back ruff but not unusable by any stretch of the imagination. It uses no electricity is quiet and the mess is limited to the area you are working in not spread out in the air. I would recommend this to anyone the diy’er or professional. The only thing that I think would improve this product would be to include a brace/stand to keep the board you are cutting level, I used the box that my laminate came in!

This is an inexpensive tool which does its job. The only quibble would be that it is on the lightweight side - therefore it would be fine for laminate up to 8mm thick but might struggle on 10mm or 12mm thicknesses. Having said that, and assuming it is used for laminate only up to 8mm thick, it is a nice piece of kit at a very attractive price.

Right.... honest review.. single mum.. bought a jigsaw.. didnt..couldnt cut straight..first time laminate floor diy-er.It took me 3 hours to lay 2 rows after cutting with jigsaw..AND NOT NEAT... purchased this... completed full room within 45 mins.. MINIMUM MESS... perfectly straight... ALL WHILST KIDS WHERE ASLEEP.. couldnt be happier

loved using it, easy, clean & quick. ideal for straight cuts across the board and pretty good for cutting the length too.No dust like I got from a jig saw and a lot less chipping risk.I'm an amateur and have avoided laminate in recent years opting for vinyl due to the challenges of cheaper laminate but not now...

Very good. I use it for my dolls house wood and it cuts it. Does leave the sides very flaxy though so you have to use a blade on the sidesYou have to have to make sure you have everything line up before use and make sure it dint moveBut it does what I need even if I have to tidy it up a little

This is a great light weight tool for cutting laminate.. can cut up to 12ml but there's a bit of a knack in it also a bit of strength needed but it does the job for the price can't fault it. Cut 7 - 8 ml like butter!

made the job really easy, even for someone who had never installed a laminate floor previously . get the measurement correct at the correct side of flooring boards and you cannot go wrong. well worth the prize.

Item need to be assembled before use. At first it quite difficult to make clean cut but when get hang of it it is straight forward.

It saved my life. Be aware ot cuts up and until a certain dimension. Not good for wood horizontal cuts, just orthogonal
