My mum brought this for my 3 year old son for xmas and I must say its a complete hit! He absolutely loves it! He got to grips with the controls quite quick. Instead of sweets we filled it with small pocket sized toys like minature cars and plastic figures etc. it's easy to use and fill up. When you first get the machine out the box look underneath in the coin compartment for the coins as my mum thought they hadn't been included in the purchase but eventually found them in the little compartment in a bag under the machine. The coins go into the slot and triggers it to work. They then can be emptied from the compartment once they run out at the bottom of the machine. It plays music and it's quite loud if used on a table but if on a carpet the music muffles and is better on the ears. If you use it on a table put a cloth or small blanket under it then it isn't as loud. It gets quicker as the timer runs out. We all had great fun in our family on xmas day with this and we range from 3 months to 77 years old. ? it's a great toy to teach younger children turn taking as now my son makes us have a go after his turn. It also is good for hand and eye co-ordination. One thing I will say is that before giving it to a young child make sure they aren't boisterous as I don't know how long it would last in rough hands. My son doesn't break his toys or play rough so I knew he would be ok. Although saying that, the chain seems strong and it looks robust. Going to be a firm favourite for a long time! Still hasn't stopped playing with it yet! What amuses me is that when he gets the toys out he doesn't want to play with them he puts them back in and just likes winning them. You don't win every time either which is a good thing as when that happens we've been saying to our son "oh dear never mind" and this has taught him it's ok not to win every time and he says "try again" Seems to be working! Love this grabber! Great value for money and a quality product!

Another great arcade game providing much entertainment for 5+y old children but you have to accept that they will be eating their sugary winnings. It might be possible to load it with alternative more healthy items but not I've thought of anything yet since, ideally, whatever is loaded should be wrapped. This is because without dismantling the case you cannot easily clean the interior. Also, the grabber is weak in its action (just like those you find in the real amusement arcades!) so most attempts fail if normal sized sweets are used. After some searching, I eventually discovered some 'mini bon-bons' by Curtis which greatly improved the chances of winning and thus maintaining interest!.The added bonus is that these are very small sweets so sugar intake is minimised. Not being able to run it silently is slightly irritating.

Child relative got lots of great presents for Christmas but surprisingly the candy grabber was their favourite! It is a great product, a mini version of the ones you see at fairgrounds and arcades, doesn't come with any sweets so just put a pack of the swizzels multipacks in which work perfect, takes kids away from computers and introduces them to a more old school way of play, great for hand-eye coordination and motor skills! Comes with plastic tokens which you can use to put in the money slot, plays fairground music whilst you try to grab the sweets, gets faster and faster until time runs out, great fun for all the family, sometimes it's easy to grab the sweets and sometimes it's hard!!!Great Product!

I bought this for my nephew's 11th birthday and he was absolutely over the moon with it. His face, when he opened it, was a picture! He and my two sons (who are 12 & 10) played on it for hours on end and were constantly cheering and clapping as they picked stuff up.I filled it with large marshmallows, hollow chocolate eggs (wrapped in foil - these were the favourite) and some light little toys from a cheap shop (little fluffy chicks and lambs). The toys kept being put back in when they'd finished so we didn't need to keep filling it with endless sweets. It's well worth the money and I'm so glad I bought it.

I bought candy grabber for use at work as a way to motivate my team of Sales Advisors and its really good fun and everyone lovesto have a go on it. One problem though, because of the way the internal mechanism is laid out, often when the grabbing arm is at the far right, the small plastic lid on top which is where you put the sweets in flies off! This could potentially be dangerous to small children so I would not recommend it as a toy for young ones. Nor sure if all of the candy grabbers are like this or if it is a flaw with this one. It could hit someone in the face or eye so I often leave this lid off.

BOUGHT THIS A FEW MONTHS AGO AS I ALWAYS LOVE PLAYING THE ONES AT FAIRS ETC.SINCE THEN I HAVE BEEN WATCHING OUT FOR 'GOODIES' TO GO INTO IT. EASY ENOUGH TO FIND 'PACKS' OF DIFFERENT ITEMS.....POUNDLAND WAS A GOOD START AND I NOW HAVE PLENTY OF ALL SORTS....GOT IT SET UP YESTERDAY WHEN A FRIEND AND HER TWO BOYS (2 AND 4) VISITED......THEY LOVED IT AND BECAUSE I HAVE PLENTY MORE THEY LOVED TAKING HOME THEIR 'WINNINGS,......NO MORE THAN 3 EACH. .THEY'RE PROBABLY MUCH BETTER THAN ME AT IT......SO AGREED THIS BEFOREHAND.I LOVE IT ..NEED A BIT MORE PRACTICE THOUGH........

Great fun, everyone loves it, keeps the little ones occupied (plus the adult kids), great for kids parties, Christmas, Easter etc.. Filled it with Q.St. chocs, they were the right size for the Grabber. You need to use the right size & weight confectionery or whatever you put in it.Only negatives are: sometimes the filler lid pops off as the crane mechanism moves under it.Recommend you don't fill it with sweets that are too heavy, too big or too slippery packaged like Roses.

This claw machine was a HUGE hit with my 9 year old this Christmas. She's filled it full of sweets and small toys and spent hours every day perfecting the art of 'grabbing'. It's a sturdy looking toy, with fun to use, authentic looking controls and would be a good thing to drag out at a kid's party for hours of amusement! My only gripe is the circus music that accompanies the claw's movement is super annoying and very loud!!!

I read lots of mixed reviews and almost didn’t buy this for my son. If you choose the right sweets then it’s great. Stay clear of jelly/heavy sweets. Worked great with things like aero balls, malteasers, skittles, and wrapped sweets such as celebrations etc. We also filled ours with popcorn one day which was fun as it was easy and the kids get a grabful everytime. Music loud and annoying though :)

Bought as a novelty present for someone obsessed with this type of machine in the arcades.Added ----- MiSion 16 Pack Emoji Keychains Plush Keyring Kids Party Decorations as the cuddly toys to be grabbed.Prosworks okFairly realisticConsnot easy to get lid off the machineVery plastic not sure how robust it will be to be honest. A heavy handed child is likely to break to levers I suspect.

Got it for my partner for Christmas... It immediately became the centre of attention though it took us some time to figure out to actually make it work (make sure coin presses on the sensor as it drops into the slot)... Since the its used especially when we have guests over... Even grandparents love to play it :) it's great fun for everybody (and solves the dessert problem after dinner ;)

Great fun for our 7 year old granddaughter. Not too easy or too difficult.I did have to seal the speaker grille to attenuate the very loud circus music but I would highly recommend this grabber. It's the same as the one with all the good reviews but with a better paint job. She's not careful but it's still in one piece and working perfectly!!

Have bought this for my 22 year old niece for Christmas. She is sweetie mad and loves grab machines so this was 'made for her'Have had to have a go myself - just to be sure it worked you understand - and I know she will be thrilled with it as I was. Recommend to anybody looking for something a little bit different but a lot of fun.

A bit cheap but was a great hit at my 2 year old's birthday party... And will be a hit for parties in coming years too I am sure! Enjoyed by kids young and old!I would recommend the best sweets to put in it are things like Celebrations and such like. No lollies, the grabber isn't strong enough.

The candy grabber was number 1 on my granddaughter's Christmas list and a big success on the day. Good quality and easy to assemble. I filled it with little toys and some sweets. I'm not sure if it'll be used much in future. Looks like an attractive 'ornament" in her room now.
