I bought the STORIO for my daughters 5th birthday. Got it on offer at 39.99, which I think has turned out to be value for money, but not sure I would pay more for it. It was a hit with my daughter who loved the Toy Story 3 cartridge which came with it. I was impressed with the screen quality, the graphics/movie are excellent. She is just learning to read so loves identify the words. Some of the games are still abit advanced, but at least its means she will still use out of it over the next 18months. I logged into the Storio Webpage out of interest and was surprised to find it was possible to download further stories onto an SD card, and when I logged in (early December), they were free rather than the usual £4.99,

I bought this for my 3 year old as a christmas present. By the end of day one, it had been dropped, bashed and lovingly played with and survived!!!My little boy thinks its great and loves the story and the games on it - he is also learning (although doesn't know as its not structured) and now tells me the name of the letters as well as the phonics.Doesn't replace reading to him and is something that we can do together or he can do on his own. Great for in car too on the longer journey. Would recommend buying a set of rechargable batteries with it as they do run down quite quickly - although most parents are aware of this with any children's toy.Would recommend getting an SD card too and linking into the computer.

I HAVE ALWAYS BROUGHT V-TECH GADGETS FOR MY KIDS, WELL I LIKE THEM TOO, THIS ONE IS A GIFT FOR MY YOUNGEST, SHE IS BEHIND ON HER READING AGE, SO WITH THIS SHE WILL BE ABLE TO BE MORE INDEPENDENT AT BEDTIME. EVEN THOUGH I STILL READ TO HER BEFORE SLEEP SHE ALSO LIKES TO READ ALONE. AND THIS IS WHERE THIS COMES IN, IT HIGH-LIGHTS EACH WORD AS THE NARATOR READS OUT ALOUD. SHE CAN FOLLOW THE WORDS TO THE STORY AND ALSO THIS ACTS AS A KIDS E-READER. THE V-TECH WEBSITE HAS ABOUT 20 OR SO FREE STORIES YOU CAN DOWNLOAD ONTO AN SD CARD THAT YOU POP INTO YOUR STORIO, JUST UNSCREW THE BATTERY COVER AND SLIDE IN THE SD CARD.

What a fabulous buy this was - my Great Nephew Lucas adores it. He's 3 and learning to read beautifully with his Mom and Dad already so this was an ideal gift for him, he loves the Storio and the interaction it provides. It's a fantastic teaching aid and he can be in charge of his own learning without even kknowing it. It came with Toy Story 3 which helped get his interest now he takes it everywhere! Excellent value!!

Bought this for my daughter's 5th birthday and she loves it, she likes to be left alone to concentrate on it! She can manage most of it by herself and rarely asks for help, though its good to check in how she's doing. So far the stylus is still with us but wonder how long it will take before it goes missing, would have been good if attached by string or something! Look forward to more stories to be available.

I am so pleased with the Storio. I purchased for my daughters 3rd birthday and with the Toy Story 3 cartridge. She is able to switch it on herself and the missing letters game is helping her with her words, co-ordination and spelling.Worth buying SD card to use with it as downloadable games available on V-tech website. I did think that this may be a little too complicated for her but how wrong I was.

I bought this for my 3 year old and from the second i handed it to her she loved it.I thought it might just have been a novelty at first but I was wrong she has it in herhand morning noonand night. There are plenty of games and storys to keep her busy.I would recomend this to anyone great sturdy product that will bring your child ours of fun.

I bought this for my 3year old daughter at christmas and it has helped was her reading and other skills.We downloaded items from the products web site so that she wouldn't be bored with the books on it.At school her teachers have noticed that her basic reading skills and general vocabally had improved a great deal and is ahead for her age.

My five year old Granddaughter said "Its the best present I have ever had".Her mother has to take it off her when she goes to bed.They learn on their own with this and it makes them feel very grown-up.Brilliant.I hope they vastly extend the range of cartridges to include Maths etc, great scope for learning.

I bought this for my 4year old granddaughter. She loves it and takes it everywhere. Great for bedtime, car journeys. Batteries don't last very long so I've bought her the adapter. Just wish there was a bigger range of stories and they were a bit cheaper. Nevertheless a great product.

We love this product, my 4 year old son plays with it for hours and its great for telling a story when you sometimes simply don't have the time.The only downside is the battery life - currently 3 days which is dreadful. We have bought a battery charger for this reason.

This toy is brilliant! I bought it for my 5 year daughter's Christmas and she has hardly been able to put it down! Good quality, educational and lot's of fun. My 3 year old daughter loves it too but doesn't often get the chance to have a go!

I bought this for my Grandson's 4th birthday. It was his best present and is in constant use. He picked it up very quickly. The only downside is the batteries-they dont last very long.An excellent product!

Bought in advance for my 4yr old's birthday and he loves it (esp the Disney cars story ). It has been a great aid with his reading and the personalised touch is nice too.

smaller than what i thought but really clever and brill ebook, games consol, computer all in one item, i think our evi will love it aspecially the dora story A++++++++++
