This is a lovely doll but ideally the title is misleading as the doll doesn't actually do much,Yes it wee's and cries but to make the doll cry you have to squeeze the arm very hard even I struggle with this, and to make it wee you have to feed it water from the bottle but half of the water leaks out of the dolls neck,And I'm still trying to work out the eating and pooing part,The box is very misleading too as it shows a pic of the dolls arms and legs moving so gives the impression they move on there own but this isn't the case it just means they can manually be moved. When the doll has been bathed she fills it with water so needs to be left to drain when taken out of the bath which is annoyingas she can't be dried and dressed straight away. With all these faults aside my daughter has had a baby Annabell since she was 1 and every year I've got her the latest Annabell but lately now she's 6 she's decided she doesn't like the crying sound she makes so always had her turned off and didn't like the fact she couldn't be bathed and couldn't wee or sit up so this Christmas i decided to get baby born and she absolutely loves it,She takes the doll everywhere, gets it dressed every morning and night and really takes the time and effort to look after her so as long as she likes it that's all that really matters. But it is an expensive doll for what it does and all the accessories are rather expensive and even them that state interactive, arnt actually interactive as its just a case of pressing a button on the accessoripy that can be done with any doll. The dolls food turned like glue it was horrible so I bought some baby rice from asda which did the job,All the accessories she comes with are great but the nappies don't last long as they go hard when they've dried and can't early be used again and are expensive to keep replacing,The bracelet didn't fit my daughters arm and got lost within the first hour of opening the box.

I sympathise with a few of the more negative comments in that she doesn't do that much - and she only 'interacts' if you buy the other items (horse, kitchen etc) but my 6 year old loves her and was amazed she cried tears and wees. I must say though, my daughter did think that 'crying' meant she made some kind of sound rather than just tears. But, without batteries, how could she? I think Baby Born is a good quality dolly, a good size - nice and weighty - and most young girls would love her, sound or no sound. Baby Born is cuddled to sleep every night and looked after very carefully by my little one. She can't wait to feed her the sachet food (although we just had 1 sachet rather then the 5 as the spec indicates)so I'm going to have one hungry dolly on my hands - lucky she doesn't make any sound then. I'm secretly pleased Baby Born takes no batteries as it takes the hassle out of them running out and makes for a quieter life. On that basis I will give this a 5 star as I have backed it up with this review but with the caveat that I don't think it is truely an interactive doll - she's rather like the Tiny Tears I had as a girl almost 40 years ago - so things haven't moved on as much as I thought they had. Maybe that's a good thing though...

I bought this to go with the Interactive horse but it didn't come with the riding outfit so it is pretty much another doll, it was half price when I bought it and to be honest, its enough to pay for it. I deducted a star as I think the full price is a bit overpriced but can't fault anything else with it.A month later, the girls (6, 5 & 2) still play away with it, and it is chosen above other dolls, so I guess its five stars from them. The food was a little meagre (one sachet) so only one afternoon of fun with that (it was so watery you could probably add food colouring to ordinary water for the same effect - might stain though). I like the fact it doesn't need batteries and can go in the water,if you follow the 2 pages of rules to do so, so all in all, a nice little doll for a not so nice little price.

This is a pre-opening review.I chose the item because it was what my soon to be 9 year old really, really wanted. I had checked out some of the other reviews - and am aware that there may be some difficulty with activating, and making it do the required functions - but when your kid really, really wants something - they aren't looking at the reviews!I just want to comment about the delivery service really - I ordered this item for my daughter's birthday - on the 7th March, it was scheduled to be delivered 7th March... but fantastically it arrived this monday morning - I had been worried my daughter wouldn't have it to open on her birthday... and now she will. excellent. thanks very much

We bought this for our daughter's 2nd birthday and it is a great first dolly. The dolly has a nice face (high on my list of priorities as I didn't want a freaky looking one around the house) with closing eyes. She is quite weighty, which is good and has movable limbs (which is taking some getting used to for my daughter)At present we haven't given our daughter all the accessories for the dolly, but the spoon, bowl and bottle are great (along with the dummy of course!) I'm leaving the food / pee / poo side of things - she's happy with just playing with her at the moment!Really pleased with the purchase and would definitely recommend as a not-too fancy / non electric first dolly!

I looked around for a black doll that could go in the bath and be fed and this was the best doll that had all the features I wanted and was cute looking. Although it was a bit pricey I went ahead and got it anyway and I am happy I did. The doll is cute but my only issue is that the colour of the doll is slightly greyish brown and in the areas where my daughter has may dropped or scrapped the doll they have become white but that is due to damage that she has caused. Overall very happy with the doll and would purchase it again. My daughter loves looking after her baby and being able to give her baths.

Good quality item. My girl is two years old and since she opened the box she takes the doll everywhere with her. She enjoys giving her the bottle and changing nappies. The only problem we have is that it seems to leak when giving her the bottle. Maybe the valve is faulty. Or I didn't manage to close it properly. And the hat comes off all the times. Over all, it's a really nice product. We bought a little pram to go with it and now there's no stop to the fun!! And we are sparing some grief to the little brother who before this doll he was like a little toy for her!

We bought this for our Grand Daughter as part of her xmas present. Bought it when it was in the sale, and i have to say that it was a brilliant buy. Our Grand-daughter who will be 5 next month (Feb)can manage all the actions herself. We are thinking of getting the boy one for her birthday but waiting to see if we can get it at the same price as the girl one is at present (£20). Love Amazon for bargains and delivery is fab. xx I would definately recommend this item despite its negative reviews from some customers.

This was bought for my daughters 2nd birthday, although she is too young to understand all the features this doll has she understands the potty feature and the tears that are caused by squeezing the arm too hard. She loves to wash her doll however we tend to bath her in the sink in shallow water not submerge the doll too much as I am not certain it will work perfectly if it was completely submerged. The doll id easy to dress and my daughter can change the nappy and clothes with only a little help.

I was a bit put off by negative reviews that I'd read about Baby Born, but we've had no problems. She's a lovely looking doll and, because she has no batteries, my daughter (5) can take her in the bath and it doesn't matter if her younger brother dunks her right under the water.Probably because my daughter is a bit older, she can squeeze her arm to make her cry - but her favourite feature is definitely pressing her tummy button to make her wee on the potty.Nice doll, happy daughter. Hooray!

I bought this as a gift for my 6 year old granddaughter and she loves it. Packaged well with plenty of accessories. Price was higher than I'd liked but i guess you pay for the name. The doll feels well made, the accessories though are just like a cheaper set another family member bought her. So might be a idea to buy the doll alone and get cheaper accessories. The clothes for this doll have to be bought separately and can be expensive for what they are, again go for a cheaper brand.

A beautiful baby born product, a great addition to many other baby born dolls. This big sister is actually the same size as other baby born dolls so can share clothes and shoes and also other accessories such as the bath and shower. She has lovely long blonde hair for creating different hair styles and the best thing is she is very durable so no worries about been broken easily especially if your little one is heavy handed. Definitely recommend.

Bought for my 3 year old granddaughter for Christmas and she loves it. The only problem I can see is that when she feeds the doll it runs out all down the dolls clothes so you have to keep drying them. Other than that it was still a good buy. I had bought a dolls pram as well so she is always taking the doll out in her pram and dressing her up. It was worth buying just for the look on my granddaughter's face!!

My grandaughter was absolutely delighted to receive the doll. Obviously knew more about it than I did as it was her sixth birthday and I gather this doll is meant to be for an older child but she would have been disappointed with anything less. Made my day to see her excitement. Her favourite present. Excellent service from Argos at Sainsbury's. Ordered and delivered all in one day.

Going to be needing another as my younger daughter loves the one we bought her big sister. Pleasant features, a nice weight, it's a shame it doesn't do more but the absence of batteries makes the doll possible to bathe so it has its perks. I googled for weeks and this was the best price available (£31). It arrived quickly and well packed (without overdoing it!).
