This Harry Potter doll is a very welcome range for both those who grew up with Potter (like myself) and those who are new to the wizarding world like my daughters. This Harry Potter doll itself is excellent especially for the price, despite a few minor foibles caused by being a perfectionist, I think is an excellent addition to any fans collection, and indeed many children's toys. This version of Harry is a blend of the depictions in Philosopher's Stone and Chamber of Secrets, the face mold is recognisable as a young Daniel Radcliffe, with his own natural blue eyes (so post Philosopher where they tried to make him wear green contacts to match the book) but the hair is perhaps a bit more like the first book. The face up is cheap, there's little extra detail in the eyes but I can bear that for the price point. The plastic hair is my biggest disappointment, we have several boy dolls with rooted hair so it is achievable especially with longer styles. However I can forgive for the 11 points of articulation!!! This makes him extremely flexible and posable, say able to pose reaching for a golden snitch on a broomstick you've made or sit at a makeshift desk with Ron Weasley focusing on Professor McGonagall (both available separately) teaching Transfiguration, or whatever games and stories you want to tell with him.The clothing again is a little bit of a let down, he's appropriately in Griffindor uniform and robes but the robes are unlined, so just fully black instead of black outer and burgundy lining, and instead of a two piece shirt with appliquéd tie and jumper on top, or even one piece with the shirt and tie in separate textiles it's not, they are just printed on. Such little details are disappointing but again with the price point of mass production you can't really argue much.Overall, hands down this is an excellent doll range for any Potter fan, we will be collecting them for our girls as they are excellent both on reproduction and play value.

We have a 9-year old at home that is totally Potter-obsessed. As muggle parents we got her some of the abundantly available merchandise and movie replica stuff to satisfy her cravings. However there are not many actual Potter toys, with the exception of a Lego line (but we already succumb under our Lego brick pile). So when I bought her a 12” inch version of Hermione as a birthday present, it was an instant hit. She took the doll with her for days in a row and it now resides on her bed table. Of course she wanted to have another wizard doll as soon as possible to share adventures with Hermione, but she would have fund that with her exasperating slow flow of pocket money. The Ginnie doll she eventually bought from her savings was even better in likeness than her first Hermione doll.It comes in an attractive, beautifully presented blister package, that unfortunately comes with a lot of plastic waste. These 12” dolls are of good quality, well made and fairly sturdy. The clothing is nice and can be easily removed and swapped. The doll has plenty of ability to be posed due to many points of articulation- in that sense it actually matches the more expensive higher-end Barbie dolls. As always with these 12” doll they are hard to keep upright by themselves, so you might have to get a stand if you are more into display than play.I was a little worried about the crucial, but tiny wands, that young children might easily lose. But our daughter keeps very good attack of these so far.

Harry Potter FYM50 DollThe kids (10 and 11) love this Harry Potter doll, but I'm not that keen on the quality given it is nearly £20.=== THINGS I LIKE ABOUT THIS PRODUCT ===* The kids are huge, huge, huge Harry Potter fans, and they love the doll* The doll is great for imaginative play which is really important for children (too many toys seem to rely on kids learning how to use them, and they soon get bored with most of them; imaginative play toys have greater appeal)* The doll is a good likeness of Harry Potter from the films with lots of nice touches* Removable glasses* Harry Potter wand that attaches to the hand by a loop* The doll's face even has a little scar on the forehead* The removable cloak is an extra feature for dressing up* The doll is poseable at the wrist, elbows and knees* The doll is comparable in quality to dolls like Barbie that are about the same size=== NIGGLES ===* The top is printed to look like a school jumper, shirt and tie but is in fact all one unit that can be removed by undoing it at the back; it isn't great quality* The little pieces like the glasses and wand are bound to get lost pretty soon* There is a limited range of dolls at present with only a few characters from the filmsFor sale at the time of writing this review at £17.99 (RRP £19.99).

There is a difference between a doll and a figurine; one is seen to be played with by children, the other is seen to be a collectable. Many a modern film has had figurines created for the geek brigade and that of course includes the 'Harry Potter' books and films. The 'Harry Potter Doll' is not one of those figurines as the description suggests - this is a doll. For a toy there is a lot of decent quality detailing. The hair is well formed and all the clothes are well made, you can even take the cape on and off, depending whether you imagine that Harry is in a formal lesson of not. The likeness is based more on the Harry of the books, so it is not a copy from the films, although other dolls in the series look more like the film version. The doll itself is fun to play with, can stand on its own and has some posable elements. With glasses and a wand that can be removed and added again, there is something to play with here. I think it is a nice balance between something that looks lifelike, but can also be played as a toy. I would suggest that you give it to a young Potter fan to play with and destroy. If you are looking for a more permanent reminder of the film there are more detailed figures available.

This is a decent pose-able character, not completely flexible and with a couple of small parts that could get lost. It’s part of a set of six, including Harry’s inner circle of Griffindors, plus Dumbledore and McGonagal. It’s a middle-film Harry, with the later-style wand. Glasses and wand are detachable, as is the cloak, which has an outsize hood that is best kept down. The hem of the cloak is stitched, but the front opening is just folded and glued. The glasses push straight on, into holes in the hair, and the wand has a loop to put on one of Harry’s fingers (I find this quite hard to do).You need to be a bit careful when posing the doll - it does feel like it might be easy to break.Harry’s legs rotate not at the thigh but at the knee - slightly odd, but it does allow most of the poses you’d want, including sitting down. The arms have relatively limited movement, and the hand poses are fixed. Harry’s head turns. He can’t stand up unaided, but he quite happily sits on an edge waiting for you. It’s a pretty good figure for the price. My only concern is that with six models in the range, and possibly more to be added later, the cost could soon add up.

This is a really fantastic doll. We have other versions of Harry Potter dolls in various forms but my son has decided he likes this one best for the following reasons:He likes that he has his school uniform and a cape - he other ones haven't had the school uniform, just the wizard gear so that adds a another side to his play and of course he wants the versions too now so he can play schools with them!He likes that Harry is full poseable - you can put him into any position for casting spells and interacting with other characters, if you can dream it, Harry can do it! He also wants the other dolls as they will most likely be this flexible as well!He also loves the attention to detail with everything on the uniform, his shoes, his hair is realistic although it's only plastic etc. It's a really good quality version with a lot of thought been put into it. There's a lot of HP dolls out there, did there need to be more made? Well, yes - because we think this one beats certainly the ones we own and my son must have about 4 other versions!Highly recommended, great for fans!

I got this doll for a friend who is a Harry Potter fanatic as I thought it might make a good collectable piece, and the likeness to the character in the first film is very good, considering he is made of plastic. The figure stands about 10 inches high and wears a Hogwarts school uniform, complete with a black wizard's coat with the Gryffindor badge. He holds a wand in his hand and he's wearing the Harry Potter glasses which have become so fashionable lately. As it's a gift and still in the packaging I haven't been able to peek under the hair to see whether the lightning-shaped scar is reproduced on the forehead - let's hope it is! The other dolls in the series are Hermione Granger, Ron Weasley,Ginny Weasley, Albus Dumbledore and Minerva McGonagall. Collecting all of them could be an expensive hobby as they are priced at around £20 each, and I wonder whether more characters are planned? Anyway, as a novelty toy, or as a collectable piece, this is great.

At just under £18 at the time of writing this is a fair price to pay for this well designed Harry Potter figure/doll.His design, where he cannot self stand demands he must be played with in the hand and that's where the fun and play begins. This is an excellent figure that will be a must for any Harry Potter Fan,Combine him with the other figures, Ron, Hermionie, Ginny and you have the famous quartet. The fun games and wizarding can begin. The attention to detail is good, Harry has his wand a Gryfindor cape and the traditional uniform of the first two pictures. The doll does clean up remarkably well which is brilliant when mixing potions and the like stain.A suggestion is not to be too quick tocut the band than locates Harry's glasses.True there is a groove but he will constantly be loosing his glasses and you will only end up rewiring them back. The figure is sure to be a winner for any Harry Potter fan this Xmas.Get him while you can.

This is certainly a must-have for Potter fans, though I am not overly impressed with the quality, even given the sub-£20 price tag (December 2018). It is packaged in a details plastic bubble with colourful cardboard back detailing the rest of the set.The figure is a reasonable likeness of Harry. The head looks convincing from the side; from the front it’s less so because the lip colouring is a bit too wide and the irises are too big for the eyes. Some delicate repainting might fix this. The hair is a plastic mop that just doesn’t work at all. The glasses are thick black things that would be ideal on an Andy Warhol doll. The top half of the outfit is a bit slap-dash but the trousers footwear are spot-on correct. As others have mentioned, his legs are far too long!As a collectable figure, there are a much better ones out there but for a lot more money. As an inexpensive collectible and posable Action-Man type toy, he is terrific!

Interestingly, for what is supposed to be the young Harry Potter from around the Philosopher’s Stone era, the figure is about the size of a slightly built Action Man figure, but without Action Man’s signature grip. Harry’s hands are more in the light flick of a wand type pose. He is remarkably tall for a model of the young Daniel Radcliffe.Accuracy wise, it is a pretty good facsimile of the young Harry Potter, complete with tiny scar and glasses. Plus he’s dressed in Gryffindor uniform which is well detailed, apart from the tie which is printed on. The young Harry also comes with a Gryffindor cape/cloak and his own wand. I didn’t crack it open to check for Phoenix feather’s though, chiefly because it’s plastic and is more likely to bend than reveal the feather from a mythical bird.On the whole a good model for the Harry Potter fan. Quite lifelike, plastic and bendy, not wooden like the original was at this age at all.

Suitable for ages 6+ this is one of a series of Harry Potter dolls – other characters, so far, include Ron, Hermione, Ginny, Dumbledore and Professor McGonagall. Hopefully, if these are popular, other characters may follow. This is a good likeness and Harry even has his little lightning streak mark on his forehead. The hair is moulded, but the clothes can be removed (the top is printed, to look like a shirt, jumper and tie, but is actually one item and does up at the back). He is quite mobile and can bend at the knees, elbows and wrists. His wand fits onto his hand with a loop which you have to press onto his thumb. I predict this will easily be lost,as might his glasses – which fit neatly into holes in his hair. The gown is easy to get on, although the material is a little stiff. Still, the details are good, this does resemble Harry and my daughter, a mad fan, loves this.

A collectors favourite, this standard height figure is moveable, poseable and (vaguely) looks like Harry Potter. The photo on the page features him wearing his cape, which is supplied in the box but he is not wearing it when you buy this. In fact he looks just like any school boy you can imagine in his v neck jersey, white shirt and tie. He is holding his wand though. This is a toy that will delight book and film fans everywhere, for play and will also appeal to collectors everywhere (for which people it is better not opening the box). The figure also has the characteristic scar and glasses that define Harry. This is an infinitely playable figure that will stimulate the imagination of childreneverywhere band this is amazingly competitively priced - you can't go wrong with this!

We received harry potter and ron weasley dolls and they are excellent, inspired by the films they are a very good likeness to the characters and immediately recognisable! The outfits are based on the iconic films and they both have removable wands which are perfect for imaginative play. The dolls have moveable joints which are perfect for the children acting out their favourite harry potter scenes with the neck, shoulder, hip, knee and wrist joints they can be put into all different poses. The one downside I did see is that the dolls don't stand up on their own so when playing with more than one the children can get a bit frustrated as they don't stand.Overall excellent toys with great attention to detail even on the wands and Gryffindor uniforms!

As a Harry Potter fan I can honestly say I was delighted to receive this figure. It is a pretty good representation of Harry, with nice detailing in his Hogwarts uniform and with his wand. He is very flexible, with jointed knees, ankles and wrists plus a turning head. I reckon it's better for older children who would take better care of the accessories like the wand and glasses which could be broken or lost. The clothes are removable so you can have Harry without his cloak if you want. The jumper and shirt are a printed one-piece so unfortunately you can't remove the jumper to just leave him in trousers and shirt. It's a really nice figure for a Harry Potter fan ...Now I just have to drop some hints to get bought the rest of the set!

This doll features the younger version of Harry Potter and is suitable for a certain amount of play action by youngsters – six years plus – but is detailed enough for displaying by older fans or even adults. A few of Harry's friends and companions are also currently available in this range which many fans may hope to see increase over time. This model features eleven "joints" in the neck, shoulders, hips, knees, elbows and wrists so it can be posed for static display purposes or ready for action in play story scenarios. Currently around eighteen pounds from Amazon this is a well made and good value official Harry Potter product that would make a perfect stocking-filler for fans young or oldthis Christmas.
