In terms of functionality, this does the job nicely - padded enough to keep out the warmth from hot pans etc, but not so much that you can't get a decent grip in things.The only issue we did have was that the description did not mention that the pattern is different on each side - the main photo shows large apples/hearts on a white background, whereas the other side has smaller images on a green background. There's nothing wrong with the different colours/pattern etc, it just would have been nice to know about it before ordering! I will try to upload some photos so others can see what I mean.
