This little gem does exactly what I was looking for i.e. allowing me to plug in multiple external drives (3) which require power. It works perfectly with all my drives recognising them immediately. I haven't tested for transfer speed, but that's not an issue for me: I usually transfer large volumes of data and just leave the computer to get on with it.Can't really comment on the fast charger port as this is of no interest to me.As with some other reviewers I received the unit with EU power supply. I went online to arrange for a replacement and received new UK version the next morning, Kudos to Amazon for this speedy service which I have had occasion to use in the past.For me it's five stars

This product does what it says on the tin and does it nicely, i needed to have access to ports on my desk rather than reaching behind my PC each time to plug in devices such as my phone etc. i don't have any faults with the product however if there was one thing i would change or would have liked to been different is the fact that the USB that is used between the hub and the PC has a proprietary connector which means if it breaks or is faulty then you would have to try and source one form Transcend themselves rather than buying a generic USB 3.0 extension cable.

Despite claims of 1 high power port for iPad charging, the port will not fast charge an iPad 3, it will simply sustain it when switched on, like any other 1amp chargers. Shame.Update -----Prompt response from Transcend, great to see that some companies still care. It turns out, you need to install a special driver to get the full charging power out of your device... Driver installed and it now charges the iPad 3. Plus for communication...and the fact it now works, Minus for not making this obvious on the packaging or listing.

Very pleased with it and bought a second one for my son's PC. Worked immediately straight from the box - no messing about. Have 2x 2TB Seagate USB3.0 external hard drives plus 1x 1 TB USB2.0 external hard drive attached to my PC and it copes with no problem. Haven't used the charging port for charging so can't comment on that. As mentioned on other reviews the lead from the hub to the PC is very short - about 12 inches - which is the only drawback hence only 4 stars.

An excellent powered USB 3 hub. I use it with an ASUS tablet Win 8.1 computer. See my uploaded images.As shown the main use is when traveling to backing up photos/videos from the USB3 card reader to the 1 TB disc.Note that the tablet PC does NOT charge via its USB3 connector in the keyboard half, but rather via a power-only micro-USB in the display half. Hence a cable from the hub power-out socket to it. So the only mains brick I need is the one for the hub.

Excellent product, very well constructed and super tiny. This will fit anywhere. I would recommend if your going to have it permanently on a desk to use blue tack to hold it in place as it has no rubber feet and slides around. Also please be aware it does not come with any UK plug or adaptor so you will need to purchase either a travel adaptor or a new UK dc power supply.

Small and unobtrusive, and nicely designed.This would have had five stars if the USB cable that connects it to the USB3 port [on the back of the PC] wasn't so short; unfortunately it barely reaches the front of the [standard midi-tower] PC case, so i can't locate it where i want it - on my desk above the PC.

I had tried an unpowered hub with a couple of USB3 external HDDs I have, and that didn't work well.This powered one lets them run perfectly without making scary weird noises, and I haven't noticed any reduction in speed (but haven't thrown serious IO benchmark tools at it). I trust this hub with my data.

This is a nice looking and compact USB hub that feels well made. Had it about a month and is connected to a Porsche Hard Drive, DVD Re-writer plus USB flsh drive and MP3 player (file transfer & re-charging) works well and does the job intended. The hub was also relatively inexpensive. Job done!

Well made works fine very pleased USB 3.0 hubs are still thin on the ground this is good value. However the cable supplied to connect the PC to the hub is very short (approx 300mm) you can of course add an extension cable which I have done that aside great hub very pleased.

With USB now operating at faster and faster rates, this unit helps ensure that all our uploads/downloads happen almost instantly. This unit ensures we can use many products plugged in at the same time, especially if our computer only has one or two USB3 sockets

I wanted a reliable USB3 hub and have always been happy with Transcend USB drives so bought this hub. It works well, no 'intermittent' disconnections that plague cheaper units and it is well made, highly recommended, good value for money.

The PSU fitted with European plug and without any UK adapter nor adapter's plate. I don't know how good of the HUB itself because no way to use.--------------------------------------------------------5 Star for Amazon，thank you.

We used to have lots of USB wires all over the place and plugging / unplugging them was a nightmare. Now you need to plug just one USB to computer and everything is connected.

Brilliant little hub. I have just built a new super performance PC that only has USB 3 ports. This little beauty just handles the downsize brilliantly
