You'll need this hub to connect to the PCI Express card, which you need to buy in addition.Plus you'll need to buy SATA power cables for the card and hub. This wasn't made clear upon reading up on this.Also the drivers CD that comes with it has all the drivers in the world so it's unclear which driver you'll need.I emailed StarTech and they sent me a link for the right driver.When you're up and running, wow, USB 3 is FAST!!!!!!!!!

Needed extra USB ports as now working from home because of Covid. My surface laptop only had one so this is perfect for my wired mouse, headset & keyboard. The lead is a little short but okay once rearranged my desk set up. Everything worked as soon as plugged in. No problems, happy with purchase so far & no more neck pain now I can use my mouse.

Made the mistake of getting an Akasa PCI card which may have caused the problem, but my 1st Hub only worked up to about 4Gb sticks as the SATA power didn't seem to be working.Replacement came by return and worked fine. Well done Startech, so I went for their PCI card which also worked fine straight out of the box.

Not seen any other makes with LED indicators which is nice touch, installs with no problem.The lead supplied which goes into a USB socket on the outside back of the computer case is plenty long enough, the only little niggle is only two screws are supplied when there is four fixing holes but not a big problem.

excellent product in terms of usability and range of supported usb devices , Not all hubs do what they just should , this one seems to.

Best one on the market it’s a bit more expensive than some alternatives but will charge multiple things I found cheaper ones won’t

This is a really great little device, works really well and is perfect if you need a tiny hub for travelling with.

Does it's job. Haven't tested it much. USB link looks to be pretty stable. Good size/design though.
