LikesValue: For four usb ports, the size and reliability the price is worth it although i haven't had it for long i'm not sure about long term use.Size: it is a good size not taking up a lot of room of the work space I have with all my books and other equipment whilst still having a decent length to move it around if needs beReliability: I've not had it for long but all ports work well with my mouse and key as this a extension for my chromebook and is compatible with it. I also mainly bought it for my Xbox not realising it didn't say anything about consoles so i worried about it but it work perfectly with it as long it's plugged in when the console is off, however it allows you to have more free ports for mouse, keyboard and external harddrivesDislikesCompatibility: in the descriptions it only says that it's compatible with Windows, Linux and Mac however it also works with the Xbox one S so i believe that it should be tested and mention what consoles it may also work with to expand the range of selling to consumers. I however don't know if it works with Playstation at all but i was very glad it worked with the xbox without realising it doesn't stat about consolesOverall a great product and i'm very satisfied with it and would strongly recommend it.

I'm using this in a Dell laptop as I needed more than 2 USB ports; keyboard, mouse (wireless), headset. Lightweight data use (USB 2.0 devices) but no harm having a hub more capable than my needs. You'll need to power this hub from the mains if the sum of your devices consumes > 900mAH, else it'll draw too much power from the computers USB port. Only external drives really need this extra juice. The Sabrent website shows this device and optional power adapter no longer available, but any 5V/2.5A AC->DC adapter should work. I've got a multi voltage adapter with a bunch of different "output pin" sizes. 2.5A is the minimum requirement, 5V is the exact requirement.eg if a PSU is rated 5V/3A then it's capable of giving the hub the 2.5A it may need in a high load scenario. It doesn't mean it pushes 3A in, only that the connected thing can take 3A if it needs it.This hub does its job. No reboots required when replugging in my devices. The on/off switches are a good idea for battery powered laptops, ensuring complete disconnect when the laptop is "off" (USB ports can still remain active when PC is sleeping).

Bought this USB hub as I'm working from home due to COVID. My company supplied me with a laptop, screen, keyboard, footpedal, headset and mouse, but the laptop only as 3 USB ports - this meant I could only use my headphones to listen to dictation via the audio jack port, but every time I needed to make or take a call, I had to unplug the jack, unplug my mouse from its USB port, connect my headphones to the USB cable, plug it into the now vacant USB port .... what a rigmarole, which meant I always missed calls so had to call back, and if I was calling IT I couldn't use my mouse (the easiest to disconnect and reconnect), having to revert to the mousepad, which I hate using. I didn't want to spend a fortune, but this little hub is absolutely perfect - I now have everything plugged is so can take my Skype calls easily It's well made, small and neat enough that it takes up little space on my limited home workstation, and is individually switched, so you can just switch on the ports you need, thus reducing battery drainage. For the price, it really is excellent value.

Want to keep it short since it is "just" a USB Hub but I couldn't ask for more really especially for the price - so here are my first impressions.Speed is as expected solid even when all 4 ports are connected and active. It looks good and it is lightweight, for those who want to carry it around. Like the fact that you can turn them on and off individually. Also a massive pro is that the cable is bit longer then many other Hubs. That way you have bit more freedom to arrange things. One thing they could have done bit better is to isolated LED indicators from one another since, when one or two are on the light illuminates the others and it looks like the are on.The build quality is pretty good as well - one minor thing here though is that the buttons are not 100% leveled when active but again, like the LEDs I mentioned these are minor cosmetic things that I feel mentioning but most of you would probably not even bother or notice at all.So here you have it - totally worth the money in my opinion ! Thumbs up !

Great item, really impressed! Worked straight out of the box, which is always good :)I didn't particularly need a powered hub but I was a little concerned the power from my PC USB port would be enough to power the 4 ports on this hub. I needn't have worried :)I have a keyboard, speaker, illuminated webcam & microphone, as well as a USB digital clock connected to the unit & they all work perfectly & it saves having to use 3 of the USB ports on my PC.You can also switch individual peripherals off from the hub so, for example, if you're worried about the possible security risk that your webcam is still powered up when not at the PC,you can simply switch that particular item off & leave the others on.The only possible slight downside is you do need to have the PC powered on, i.e. sleep mode (& probably 'hibernate' but I haven't tested that), as shutting down completely will obviously turn off the power to the USB port the unit is plugged into but if that isn't an issue, this hub is superb! :)

This 4-Port USB 3.0 Hub does pretty much what it says on the tin [see product detail] and is excellent value for money. I was compelled to find an alternative to a wireless mouse which eats batteries and is bad for the environment. Of course, it would help if manufacturers like HP provided more USB slots on their machines! However, this is where this little add-on helps greatly with plugging in devices. It is very light and the individual power with lights is helpful. So I can now have a wired mouse, scanner, camera and phone connected with ease. If I have any criticisms then the lead from the unit to the PC could do with being a tadge longer to assist with placement on a work surface. Secondly, the ports are very close together so I am unable to plug in some items such as my bike lights which I recharge via the PC. Otherwise, this is a good product.

I was sceptical because it's a brand I've never heard of and I like high quality products, however these lights and switches swayed me into trying this product.I purchased this for my PS4, as I wanted to use my Logitech Keyboard and Mouse both with LEDs. Plugged it in and worked straight away.Hasn't cut out once yet and I've had it for a few months. The lights are really cool and the switches all work as expected. It would be nicer if the wire was slightly longer but that's just personal preference, some might want it shorter.I'm extremely pleased with this product, and would buy again and recommend to anybody needing one. It's not powered with a plug so it may not be powerful enough for certain external hard drives but that's not a fault with the product, that's a malfunction in common sense.

looks good so far. I have a Sabrant M.2 and that has been great so far. It's compact, and looks pretty good, with a cable longer than I prefer or need but I can't complain about that.I tested it by putting a USB 3.0 pendrive into my motherboard via a pass through extension cable and running a basic speed test, then I used the Sabrant USB hub for the same (through a port at the front of my PC).The results were a little slower through the dock (nothing else working the dock but 2 dongles were also plugged in). I think it's very good for general USB 3 use and seems to main the throughput of data within 10% or so.I did a specific test after this, reading from a CF card filled with photos. The transfer rate was 2-3 times higher when connected directly to the port rather than the hub.

I use it to toggle between active controllers for my Windows 10 PC.I have a QanBa Q4RAF Fightstick and a Logitech F310 game controller. In certain games, if they are both plugged in at the same time, the controls can get messed up.With this USB hub, I can always have both controllers plugged in, but I can toggle between which was one is active with the push of a button. This saves me having to get to the back of my PC every time i switch between certain games, for example, StreetFighter V and Oddworld New and Tasty. My only small gripe is that the lead is very short from the hub, so if i had to move it further away from my PC I'd have to pay to get a USB 3.0 extension lead. Luckily,it fits perfectly into my current set up, but it's something to be aware of before purchasing.

This is a wonderful 4 port hub and works flawlessly. The other people who have had problems need to realise that if they use one of those old thick blue extension leads then they will have problems.Mine was intermittently turning off and on as the windows USB plug in sound was constantly on off on off.I tried on my laptop and was fine but I was using one of those old thick blue leads on my desktop computer.Took me a while to find out why is was but I took off the thick blue usb3 lead and used it directly into the back of the computer. Now it is faultless and working flawlessly. So be careful with the cheap extension leads as you will have problems and not only with this but with other USB itemstoo.I fully recommend these to anyone and do not let the bad reviews put you off.

Very good product; easy to set up and use.I bought three:- the first one to extend/expand the USB3.0 features of my Lenovo M78 desktop PC so as to recover data from USB HDD drives that have been sat around in my 'IT stuff' drawer for way too long;- the second one is superglued (!!) to the rear of my Samsung smart TV - one socket powers my TOSlink - Bluetooth adaptor, the other connects an external 320GB HDD USB box for recording programmes/films etc. (NB - the blue LED illuminated push-buttons are very helpful but you do have to think about the positioning of the unit to minimise distraction due to the blue light being reflected off walls etc.);- the third one is a 'travelling attachment'in my laptop bag.All in all, a great product and *highly recommended* ??

This has been a life saver for work purposes and I am very impressed with it. Have to use headphones and a mouse and the one work provided me with snapped on the first day of use. So I ordered this and it came very quickly-the next morning in fact. (This was handy as I was working that Sunday). This has saved me a whole ton of fiddling about and is very easy to use. The lights are an added extra and handy to see them on and working. So glad I purchased this and I have to thank Amazon and your workers once more, for the very excellent service and delivery and as ever, its very much appreciated. As an aside, two weeks later and I'm still waiting for a replacement via work,is it any wonder that Amazon are top of the tree.............xoxoxo

Small and lightweight, the perfect size to fit in a laptop bag.USB 3 cable is short but perfect for a laptop and the fast USB 3 speed will give you fast access to your USB 3 devices while remaining backward compatible with your USB 2 & 1 devices. The hub provides power to the devices from your computer. There does seem to be an external power socket but no indication as to what power input it requires. This hub as a unique feature with its switchable ports. This allows you to turn off power to your devices as required at the touch of a button and each button is illuminated by a blue led to indicate that it is on.With thanks to the manufacturer for the sample product, sent for review purposes.

The wire from connector to the ports is a good length. Not sure of the exact length but maybe around 30cm so I can position it in good places without tugging on my wires. I've got mine plugged into my TV so I can plug in multiple lights and whatnot so this was perfect for me. On/off switches are handy as well if I want to turn off a light without ripping the usb out so that was agreta addition. Nice sleek design with the lights too so I wouldn't mind it being seen as it works with my lights and stuff. No flickers or anything, lights work as if they were plugged into the mains since the speed quality is pretty well done. Good purchase, good to look at, nice number of ports, good value.

I didn't realise how much I needed this until I purchased it. The individual buttons make it so you can switch devices on or off on the fly which is very nice to have. The form factor also means you can take it under a desk or like I have it against the side of my bed. Very useful USB splitter.I use it with my PS4 for several things. My USB headset plugs into it, a keyboard and mouse and a charging cable. When it comes to media, I simply remove one device and put another in, and boom, it's there on my PS4 for use. Pair this with the Amazon essentials usb3 extension and it is very versatile in its usage. I intend to get another for my desk set up and have it under the desk
