I'm a big fan of Chris Sawyer and Sid Meiers strategy and tycoon style games. I was very critical of Transport Fever when I picked up on it last year. Then I read a few of the tutorials on steam and suddenly it all made sense. I persevered and actually started to enjoy it. Just when I thought I'd mastered it and was about to consign it to the 'played that to death' bin, I discovered all the challenges which gave it another lease of life, and I've been playing all year now. Its a bargain at current price, but you do need to spend some time learning its nuances, and if you do you will be rewarded. Recommend learning the game and then playing the big scenario, and full timeframe,

A most comprehensive and well designed game. Attention to detail, e.g. people walking the streets, avoiding traffic, boarding trains and buses, makes the whole scenario more realistic and believable, Your financial decisions are very important, it is easy to get carried away and spend too much, particularly at the start of the game. In the past I have always avoided Steam but once I had got through the all the stages of registration it works very well. I would have awarded five stars had there been a day/night option, but I heartily recommend the game to anyone interested in town and transport building and control.

I have always been a fan of railway management games and this one does not fail to live to up to its expectations. The 3D graphics are simply amazing and the Sims style world is a first in this type of game. However the only drawbacks I have about the game is a lack of choice of choosing company colours, competitive rivalry and the lack of a map editor. Otherwise I find this is a good game to play.
