The first thing that struck me was the size. It's considerably bigger than I was expecting. (Check my photos for comparison to a toddler.) My kid has just turned three, and he does love this. It's chunky and sturdy though some of the details on it are just stickers which mean that after getting wet/sandy/muddy they're going to come away, probably sooner rather than later. For the price, I would have like to have seen the detailing be a little more permanent.It's nearly all plastic, but it's held together with metal screws and the axels are also metal, so they're likely to rust. Having an all plastic construction would probably have made more sense. It's still pretty good though,

Bought for my 3 year daughter and she loves it :) Plays with it every time I see her and seems very happy to cover my feet in sand when I get in her sand pit with her! Same as the dump truck, it's a little bigger than I was expecting but good quality and looks like it will be a tough one to break :) Glad I bought it :)

Exactly what my Excavator mad 5 year old wanted, he uses a dirt area of our garden to really put this toy through its paces. The toy is made really well and is so far very tough. As seen in the picture it has an handle on the Excavator arm which helps him dig the dirt. I am very impressed and my son is too. 5 Stars.

Bought the large JD sit on digger last year,he loved that so bought him smaller version for him (4yrs) and big brother (6yrs old) to share for theese gloriouse sunny days we've been having...always try to buy JD...ther design seems better than most....and kids love this, and sit on design...

Excellent toy, bought it for my son to use in his sandpit and it works well. It spent a week outside in the rain and other than the stickers fading a bit, it still works perfectly. Well built for tiny destructive hands! It has survived my three year old for two months now...

We were given this second hand and it’s brilliant - has lived outside digging mud, soil, gravel, sand etc and is still in one piece. A very very good toy which has frequently had a queue of little people wanting to borrow off my son.

Kid begged for one from Santa wasn’t as bothered when it arrived - preferred his garish pink/ plastic ice cream trolley ? I’m hoping it will get more use when the sheathed improves as lovely quality item.

Had to buy this for monkey because some doofus in a flat cap on youtube played with it. Turns out to be really well put together and get played with a lot. the articulation of the scoop is great.

A chunky but lightweight toy for young children (we bought it for a four-year-old). He gets lots of fun playing with it indoors and out. We will be buying him further toys in this range.

Excellent, my two year had this for Xmas and he loves it. Seems quite hardy, he sometimes struggles to pull the digger arm up, but he is only two!! Would defiantly recommend love it!

Bought for my 4 year old grandson and he is delighted with it. It is strong and robust for all usual digging activities!
