It's a reasonable game but it doesn't fit into the established Splinter Cell and Tom Clancy universe, for those that care about that - it may be annoying. It feels a bit like a Mass Effect clone, you spend a lot of time operating aboard your base on an aircraft. You can talk to specific allies to earn more about them and open up their missions, as well as (theoretically) update the base itself. The problem though, is that all of this feels entirely shallow. Despite a loading page every time you upgrade the plane, there are no physical changes to the environment itself. You update the armoury or the workshop, and it looks exactly the same - you just get the option to unlock a few guns. Essentially,it's an extra step to artificially inflate the price of the equipment to keep the game going longer. Not really that impressive. The game seems to have this problem in general, it can be very superficial. But, you can choose between stealth or combat - or a meld of both - and move through the game, providing you stick to one option. There's no being stealthy and suddenly blowing through an entire armed compound because you were spotted, so they've done that very well.Overall, with the rather low price for it (£3), I'm very happy. I've used it to kill a few hours in the morning before work and I can't complain as to that. It's just a shame that it could have been so much better than it is.

Played on: Windows 7.Copy protection: Steam & Ubisoft's Uplay client.Sam Fisher is back in his 3rd person stealth'em up adventure, and put in command of his own team this time around, Echelon 4. Who are tasked by the President of the United States with the job of bringing to justice a group of terrorists called the 'Engineers', who are threataning to carry out attacks on America every 7 days until they bring all they're troops home from abroad. It's time for Sam to don his night vision goggles one more time into the fold, let's go green!Play styles:Ghost: Leave enemies undisturbed & use only non-lethal K.O's if unavoidable.Panther: Evade enemies & use lethal K.O's if unavoidable.Assault:Yippee-ki-yay mother....You can attain a gold award if you gain enough points in one of them by specializing, (required points are listed in mission log or pressing ESC in game) per mission.Pro's:+ Visually pleasing.+ Interesting & scarily relevant story, if somewhat cliche into the bargain.+ Varied locations, with 2 or more approaches & mixed challenges (Ghost is the hardest to attain on some IMO).+ Good voice acting on the whole & well balanced mix of seriousness & subtle humor (comic relief thanks to Charlie Cole & Andriy Kobin (Elias Toufexis -

I decided to take a chance on this after the last two Splinter Cell titles turned out to be drivel, prised from the cold, dead hands of consolitis; for me, the series peaked and ended with Chaos Theory. Although lacking Michael Ironside's signature vocals, this is.....not that bad. There's a decent amount of gameplay on offer with Multiplayer, online Co-op, and single-player campaigns, and it's a good, modern title with some interesting spins. You have quite a lot of freedom to customise Sam & his equipment, using e.g. side missions to earn funds to buy or develop kit.In terms of gameplay mechanics, it's not quite a full return to the good old days, with e.g.Sam's variable speed movement now reduced to crouch or flat-out run, but you will be hanging off ledges, under pipes, or behind crates waiting to pop-up and grab someone - as ever, going in shooting from the hip tends to end badly for you. It's also a lovely-looking game too, making it a bit of a shame that so much of it requires you to play it in monochrome with night-vision goggles. If you enjoyed Sam's earlier outings, you might enjoy this one too.

This is an Excellent game....Im new to the Tom Clancy Splinter Cell series. and I wasn't disappointed.First of All the storyline consisted of a series of terror attacks across the USA by a Terrorist Group, you as Sam Fischer have to stop or Disrupt these terror attacks and get to the root of who is organising these attacks. The Missions all Bring you to diverse interesting locations such as the US ,Libya Iraq Paraguay and Iran. I particularly liked the mission going into Tehran undercover and infiltrating the revolutionary guard headquarters. Also at the end of the Game you still haven't figured out fully who is behind the attacks so I presume a follow on game could be on the way.Gameplay wasexcellent and the stealthy approach was a nice change compared to just shoot em games like Call of Duty or Medal of Honor.Graphics and Sound were top notch and the cut scenes added a nice touch too.If theres a continuation to this story I will be getting it.....Highly recommended

Blacklist is a terrific story as well as a shoot-em-up and stealth game.Basically you are based on a flying control centre full of electronics, lovely wallmaps, (from which you can choose your missions) and other paraphernalia. You also have a mate who can accompany you on certain missions, and you play as him tooto complete missions. I enjoyed the solo stealth missions best. The graphics are the bestof the genre, finding your way out of Guantanamo is a treat in itself!I have a win7 64bit machine with nvidia gt9600gt graphics nothing special, but the frame rate was good at all times. Story wise you are up against an international terrorist cell who have a Blacklist of places to destroy. They also employ computer hackers so the plot thickens. Plenty of missions of various types to attempt, Fuel terminals, water works, not just US sites but worldwide. the scenery and detail is excellent throughout be it in citiesor industrial sites. Recommended.

The splinter cell games just get better and better. Not everyone liked the previous games (excluding conviction) but since conviction they re-worked the whole gameplay to be more action-packed and fluid. I loved double agent, I played it many times over. Conviction I also liked, but I think blacklist could quite possibly be the best (probably between blacklist and double agent). They have really put a lot of effort into creating this game with all the customisation and additional activities, and it really does show. The story is amazing, and it is not just some typical US government vs terrorists game, the characters are much more than just good guys and bad guys. It is also very dramatic, dark as well at times which helps give it an edge. I would seriously recommend this game, there are very few games out there that I genuinely enjoy and this one is at the top of my very exclusive list.

I've been a big fan of the splinter cell series, or pretty much any tom clancy game for that matter (hawx, rainbow 6, endwar etc). this game has delivered once again - great graphics, smooth gameplay, nice variety of weapons and a gripping story-line that is also quite believable. one thing that disappointed me was the voice of sam fisher, the person you play (for the few that don't know already). Rather than the usual, gravelly and unmistakable voice of Michael Ironside, it now sounds like a wannabe kid in comparison. It's now voiced by a Eric Johnson...yea I had to google him too. Barely a Hollywood name in comparison. Doesn't come close and therefore the main character seems to lose...character.Still. Only a small gripe in an otherwise epic game.

Iam only rating SP., i loved all the previous Splinter cell games (expect the last one) i loved the stealth, the gadgets, the story, and this one brings it all + new covering engine, the game it self is pretty hard even on normal, two shots and you dead (all cod fans turn away now,) different than most of modern day shooters where health regenerates faster than you can loose it, and all you can do is walk straight path with arrow pointing towards where to go, here you gona have not only to choose, but look for which route to take, stay undetected, and find all that you need.worth every penny for real stealth players .P.S. : as i said, iam only talking about single player, havent tried MP cause i have s***ty internet,

Game works perfectly fine. Single player and SvM are assured to give you many hours of enjoyment. Why not 5 stars then? The matchmaking system in the online mode is terrible. You get paired with people with random backgrounds instead of people from your level of experience and it kind of ruins the fun for everyone. However, I think they're fixing the matchmaking in the next patch, so looking forward to that.In summary: It's a great, versatile game. I recommend it if you're a Splinter Cell fan.

Ubisoft scores another home run with this Splinter Cell Blacklist. I had a lot of fun playing and replaying it, testing out all of the gadgets and different strategies and I even liked the online levels (which I normally avoid). Truly a masterpiece ! Keep up the good work Ubi !!Note that a lot of negative comments are related to initial bugs (most of which are solved by now), or to inappropriate equipment to play the game (mostly portables or low spec computers).

I love the stealth style of this series, and it feels like a return to the original games. You can choose your play style: I successfully chose to complete it in 'Ghost' style, making it even harder by leaving enemies completely untouched. I found the 'Panther' sore most fun (eliminating all enemies whilst undetected). All-out 'Assault' was also fun, and well supported throughout, though not my cup of tea. Very good game overall. Certainly recommend buying it.

Delivery is fast, well packed. It is a fun game and I like it. It lost two stars because it worked well in my Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit system for the first two days, then it suddenly keep crashing. Now I have to reinstall it. Will update how it works later.UPDATE: It works fine again after several system reboots. Don't know what is wrong with it, as I didn't touch anything.

This game is fun and different to the old ones I’ve played! The only thing i dislike is that when you die you start back to the beginning and no save point to save! And how the enemy gets close to you you’re automatically noticed compared to hiding in the dark they can’t see anything! This game is fun just used to the old games, definitely like a new challenges though! :)

This game is really something. I'm never usually a one for a third person shooter but this game came with my GTX 780 SC, so I thought I'd give it a go. The graphics are phenomenal at a start, I play at ultra 1920x1080 and it added so much to the game, the game play and animations are second to none and the story is the icing on the cake. A must buy.

Only just started to play this game, looks ok and feels ok. If memory serves me, this one plays somewhat different to the other Splintercells. In a good way. Technology always striving forward. I say yay and commit to saying it's a good game. Not giving anything away, you could always look it up on a fav gaming site to see how it plays :) Have fun
