I was hesitant about buying these as they say they are to replace 80mm U-bolts and I wasn't sure which measurement the 80mm was for. The gap between holes on my roofbox (a Vauxhall one from around 2003, which was probably a rebranded Thule) is 45mm, so two holes distance would be 90mm.I was pleased to find that the 80mm must refer to the height of the U-bolts, not the distance between bolts.These plastic (nylon?) blocks have a hole for the t-track bolt, and then a pin which fitted in the roofbox hole perfectly.If your gaps between holes are 45mm, these should be fine.In use - they are a lot quicker to put on than the U-bolt type fixing I used before.They do seem a bit pricey for what you

I have the Thule Aerobars and in the past had just attached the roofbox to the Aerobars with the brackets that came with the roof box. While this worked fine, it was a nightmare to line everything up.I bought these so that I could have them on the roof box all the time and then simply slide the roof box into the Aerobars from the side. Works perfectly, so happy.I did however have to drill a few more holes into the bottom of the roof box, but this was because the roof bars on my Audi at fixed point, so i cannot move the roof bars to suit the position of the holes on the roof box.

These are such an improvement on the U bolts. They are very easy to fit and once on the box they make taking tge roof box on and off a breeze. They also make your setup look neater and unlike the U bolts they won't scratch the surfaces of your roof bars. I have them for my wing bars and although it seemed pretty expensive for a couple of bolts the solution and fitting is worth every penny.

Roof box feels so much more secure -I fitted it to an ancient Halfords box, I had to drill a new hole, but kit comes with tape to cover the old one
