I have waited a year and a half before writing this review to make sure that my comments on this pan have stood the test of time. The price is high for sure, but this pan has been used many many times in the oven and on the hob to make countless different meals. Much of the time after letting the pan cool a quick wash with normal washing up liquid gets it clean with a quick and easy wipe with standard washing up sponge. On occasion, when it has been used for a meat joint that results in quite hard burned-on residues, all that is needed is a soak for 15 minutes with some hot water and washing up liquid and it is straightforward to clean.I used to hate washing up roast pans with hard scrubbing usually resulting in damage to the pan - but with this diamond surface pan those days are long gone.The only thing that is a watchpoint, rather than a negative point is that the handles stay very hot when the pan is first removed from the oven so it is essential to wear oven gloves to remove it, and also to remove the lid. It is all too easy to grab the lid after a couple of minutes forgetting it is still hot enough to burn fingers.I have not tried to add cold water when the pan is still hot, and only add hot water to avoid damaging the surface.All in all this is a top quality product that makes the after-roasting "chores" no problem at all, and therefore despite the very high cost it is worth it in saving of effort over many years. Although I have only had this pan a year and a half I am convinced it will last at least a decade more, and overall may be cost-effective since it likely won't need replacing for at least that time. Buying standard pans may well cost more over an extended period, and the hassle of cleaning standard pans is worth avoiding too.So all in all an addition to the kitchen utensils that I am glad we have.
