I have two of these in different sizes and wouldn't be without either of them. Although names like Le Creuset are better known, Staub is one of the top ovenware brands, every bit as prestigious. I was able to chuck out a lot of old and very second rate oven dishes when I bought mine, and they will last forever - no chance of cracking or shattering.The cast-iron with enamel coating build, makes them satisfyingly dense but not too heavy, absorbs heat and serves as a perfect vessel for roasting and baking. They have proved to be non-stick, which is seriously useful.The design works so well. With raised handles at either end, it is easy to grasp to remove them from the oven with oven gloves,
