PERFECT for an individual Shepherd's Pie or Lasagne with bubbling melted cheese on top because this smart little STONEWARE baking dish can even go under the grill.◄ Apologies. Amazon has amalgamated products and this review now appears as a duplicate.I have 45 of these dishes in various colours & sizes, dotted around various locations. ►Rectangular shaped.Approximate size (based on my own):♦ Inside base measurement - 15.5 cm x 10 cm, which gently tapers to 17.5 cm x 12.5 cm at the top.♦ Depth approximately 4 cm.♦ Longest point, includingthe handles :21.5 cm.Mine has 'LE CREUSET, FRANCE, 19 cm' embossed on the base but later dishes are made elsewhere and vary in size (*).Easy to clean by hand, although a little soaking and a rub with a plastic brush may be required for the more stubborn baked-on food remains.Dishwasher safe. This versatile dish is also oven/microwave/freezer safe, but Le Creuset STONEWARE items cannot be used on a direct heat source.Full STONEWARE use/care instructions supplied on the cardboard presentation sleeve.ooOoo(*) The newer models, i.e. the Chinese-made versions of this dish are very slightly different - '18 cm x 12 cm'/capacity 0.6L.This can make a slight difference to the stack-ability if in possession of a mixed collection as I found when I recently replaced one of my French-made (poterie) versions!

I bought this and the 26cm dish at the same time and an delighted with them. They are a bit heavier than cheaper versions, but this doesn't affect anything except stacking them in the cupboard! I bought them because they look great and can go "straight to table" - a method promoted by Jamie Oliver in his genius new book. Cleaning couldn't be easier too. A short soak and they literally wipe clean, unlike our other stoneware dishes.Clearly, there's a good reason why Le Creuset have a reputation for quality. I am certainly going to buy more.I must also report that the smaller dish hadn't been packed very well and had probabaly been dropped on the unprotected end, so it arrived in pieces.I used Amazon's returns process and it was fantastic. Print your own return label, box it back up and email "YODEL" who collect on a day to suit you. Not only that, but I had an email from Amazon apologising for the problem and the replacement dish was dispatched same day, within hours of my reporting the problem. The new dish actually arrived before the damaged one had been collected!! Really, really excellent service, thank you Amazon!

I've used Le Creuset crockery for, cooking, freezing and serving for years and it all looks as good now as it did on the day I bought it. I love the colours, the glaze, the shape and the fact that no matter what happens to it, it comes up good as new. I've roasted vegetables; the fat doesn't discolour the internal glaze. I've used them for baking sugary or sauce based dishes, where the contents have to be well cooked. Even if the sticky mix drip over the edge and burns, it washes off easily in the dishwasher.I like the fact that it's oven to table and looks good as a serving dish. For something like lasagne or shepherds pie, I generally make double quantity, cook one and out the other into a LeCreuset, freeze, then when I need it, I can take it straight from freezer to oven to table. I generally buy it when in offer in a local major discount store or in lightning sales. Every piece has been worth every penny; no cracks, chips, stains or discolouration after regular, almost daily use. A great investment, good looking, even heat distribution when cooking and easy to clean.

These are great little dishes ideal for small pies, sausages, sponge puds etc. They are oven dishwasher and freezer proof and should last for years. They are about 4cms deep 19cms long and 12cms wide, have a nice glossy coloured finish and the base underneath is unglazed with the Le Creuset logo.I have 4 of these in various colours and use mine at least twice a week, I find them ideal for smaller portions when one of my daughters want something different from the rest of us and also batch cook small meals for lunch time to heat up in the microwave. They have lasted well and I would recommend them to anyone. I found out about Le Creuset a few years ago and loved them so was extremely pleased when our local Supermarket had a promotion,Lurpak butter gave one away free with 2 blocks of butter so I bought the blue one and a green one (Not seen the shade green since as it was deeper than the olive colour) I keep looking out just in case. Years later I bought myself the Teal and Cerise and I haven't stopped using them!!At present they are available in

Single serving sized product. Stoneware is always a winner. It will go straight from the fridge to the oven. It heats through evenly and quickly. It conducts the heat well, so the cooking time is reduced (check regularly to avoid well done or charred food!). This is really easy to clean as the food just slides off with water. Stoneware doesn't recommend the use of washing up liquid/detergent or dishwashers as there needs to be a build up of "seasoning" (that brown baking marks to you and me!). Although this seasoning doesn't pass flavours between the food baked (I made a very garlicky lasagne in this, and then used it to make a lemon sponge that evening, and you just couldn't taste garlic in the sponge at all). For the first few uses, I would recommend that you put a very light covering of fat, butter or trex to allow that initial build up of seasoning, to really get that none stick factor.Found this useful? I have seen the adverse reviews of these dishes but so far I have had no problems with mine regarding splits or the development of hairline cracks. The thing I like most about them is the size (18cm) - neither too small nor too big. I have a couple of the gorgeous cassis colourway and use them as roasting dishes for small joints and for making lasagna & other baked pasta dishes, cauliflower cheese, etc.. They go in the freezer too. What you can't do with these is place them on the hob - not a problem for me given what I am using them for. It is also sensible to wait for the dishes to cool down before rinsing them - thermal shock can crack any ceramic dish. Similarly,If they have been in the freezer then don't put them into a hot oven - put them in the cold oven so that they warm up with the oven. All of this is on the instructions that come with the dishes. They are very easy to clean - if anything does get burnt on a quick soak with a little washing-up liquid does the trick. That said, I rarely find anything stuck onto the dishes.

Le Creuset are a top quality brand. This is the smallest oblong dish that they produce, and is now fairly standard every time they bring out a new colour. For singles this size is so useful it has to be one of their bst sellers. This is a generous sized portion for one, and is ideal for lasagne. It is also great if you want to microwave a supermarlet chilled meal for one, as this dish is the ideal size in which to slip the heated meal in a plastic container, giving it a rigid support, and an attractive appearance. This is really nice colour. Mid blue with s deep cream inner. It is also being offered at a better price than many other colours in some outlets. Both my everyday dishes and best dinner set feature blue asa primary colour,so this is great for me. i can use it as single portion cookware, or as a server for side dishes with guests. Not only do I buy these when they are a good price for their quality, but their perfect dimensions, and they make a perfect gift for single friends.

I am pleased as punch with this cooking pot. I have used it almost every day since I bought it, and have used it for so many different dishes. It is ideal to roast vegetables in, make Lasagne, cook apples, roast potatoes and many more dishes besides. I have used it for sweet dishes too, a chocolate sponge which came out fabulous. The dish is versatile, and ever single thing I have made in it has cooked beautifully. It sounds bizarre, but I would not want to be without it now.I did think it might be a bit small when I first saw it, but no, it is a good size, and it even fits in my microwave and turns without scraping the sides. The other positive about it is the ease in which it cleans after use.It doesnt even seem to require any soaking, comes up good as new no matter what state it is in. As you can probably tell, I am delighted with my little cooking pot, I love the colour too.
