I’ll be honest, I didn’t really expect this erasable ink to work. And while I don’t actually know how it works- it works quite well, but it’s not perfect.The eraser at the end, which doesn’t look like an eraser and simply looks like a slightly over-elaborate plastic curvature at the end of a normal pen, really can remove the ink you’ve laid down using the other end of the device (but it can’t remove other, normal ink, in case you were wondering). However it struggles with indentations in the paper, and you have to press quite hard to make it work, which on some paper can end up leaving more marks; so the paper is *not* as good as new when you’re done.As a pen, these are quite pleasant.The ink flows readily straight from first use and doesn’t seem to need warming up. The flow of ink is just a little bit scratchy for my tastes, but it’s fine. The colours are unremarkable and business-standard.I do think these are a bit more of a novelty item than a professional essential, and I don’t think they’re going to revolutionise the stationery industry- mainly because, though the erasure is better than I thought it would be, it’s not perfect. You can still read what was previously written by looking at the indents and slight ink remnants. But if you make a lot of written notes, in your business meetings or your studies or whatever, and you’re getting sick of endless crossings-out and you wish your handwriting had a backspace button- albeit not a perfect one- then you are likely to appreciate these.

This is a review of Erasable Rollerball - STABILO Gel Exxx Blister of 3 Blue/Black/RedHere we have a three pack of erasable rollerballs. These three have a medium ball - the width helpfully described and an example given on the packaging. Less helpfully the width is not stated on the pen itself.I'm not aware that either Fine or Large ball pens are available in this range.The pens have a small detachable cap at one end and an eraser at the other. The eraser is hard plastic - it doesn't feel like a pencil eraser, nor does it wear away like one.The body of the pen is quite chunky and they are refillable.So far, so much like a normal rollerball.Given that they are very expensive - about 4GBP each - you're paying for the erasability.The colours are quite pale - the black is dark grey, and the red is quite pink. The ink dries quickly and I've not noticed any smudging.Well...the eraser works. Quite a bit of pressure is needed, as does having the paper on a hard backing. I'd say that about 80% of the ink is removed. I could still see traces of it, and of course there's the usual physical dent in the paper. I did not find that erasing smeared the ink over the paper.The erasing function is just as effective on newspaper as on normal paper.So very useful where you wish to be able to write in ink, rather than pencil, but may need to erase (almost all) of some of it later.Overall this is the equivalent of an ink pencil.

I have to be honest and admit that I was very sceptical when I ordered these because I have tried numerous "erasable" pens before with awful results that generally wreck the paper. I am so pleased to say that I couldn't have been more wrong with these. The eraser is quick and gentle and works like magic. On pure white but low quality paper, it doesn't fully erase the pigment. On pure white high quality paper you can barely tell where the original word was. On coloured paper it's completely invisible, which is perfect for me as the paper in my commonplace book where I do most of my hand writing is brown. The eraser doesn't damage the paper at all and doesn't smudge the ink in any way.The pens themselves sit nicely in the hand and there's none of that messing about scratching the ball and scribbling on scrap paper when you open them for the first time. I just started writing and had ink by the second letter on all three colours. The ink flows smoothly and evenly, providing a nice writing experience. The only real flaw in these is that the ink is not highly pigmented. The colours are clear and legible and perfectly dark enough for most purposes, but they are not dark or highly pigmented inks, if such things matter to you. I assume it's because of the erasing process somehow but I'd far rather have ink I can erase than write in a darker colour. I would definitely order these again and I'm really impressed with them.

These Erasable Rollerball Pens from Stabilo have a medium nib (0.5 line width) and are superb to write with. The three pens come on a card.Three pens, three colours ... black, blue and red. These fine liner pens come complete with lid with an eraser at the end. The pens are comfortable to hold and to write with.These pens write extremely smoothly without a hint of dragging on the paper. The colours are bright, the lines are crisp and the ink colours look good on white paper.And best of all … anything you write or draw can be erased and the erased area can be written on again.We are a large family of seven and I use these colourful roller ball pens to add events, appointments etc. onto our family calendar,the appointments stand out which makes it easy for our children to look up appointments and events pertaining to them. Also if an appointment or event is cancelled I am able to erase the appointment and if necessary use the area again to add something else.

Having purchased many erasable pens before I know that many just don't erase, or they leave a mark on the paper, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that these pens actually erase really well, without effort and they don't leave any mark on the paper! These really are great eraser pens. The pens are comfortable to write with and the nib is very narrow for fine writing lines. the gel ink is more like ordinary ink and not thicker gel pens. The black ink is a good quality dark ink and the blue is navy blue. The red is more like a pink red and is not as dark as the other two pens.They actually erase better if you wait a couple of minutes to let the ink dry before erasing,but if you are in a hurry then you can erase immediately and it is fine. The ink flows easily and fast. A good set of pens for everyday use.

I loved these pens although I would say they are maybe a tad pricey. The inks are quite vibrant but perhaps not as vivid as some. They are comfortable in use and the ink flows nicely. The best feature of these pens is the ability to erase the ink and these are the best pens I have ever used which have this feature. The eraser Is not what you would expect as it is quite rigid black plastic which just looks like part of the pens design. It really works well and removes all of the ink leaving only the indentation of whatever you have rubbed out. I don’t know how often I will need to use the eraser In practice, but it is really good feature to have when you need it. RECOMMENDED

The red comes out as a weak colour in reality but shows up a little better in photos. The blue and black are great.Very ergonomically pleasing to hold, little scratchy on the nibs though. Once the ink starts flowing properly they're quite nice to write with.They erase pretty well, certainly well enough to write over, though it's not 100% invisible where you've written before.The erasers will pick up trace residue if you erase before the ink is dry, which may cause some smearing on the next use of the eraser. But they do as advertised and for small errors they'll work really well.4 stars because the red is disappointingly pale and less useful as a result.

Theses erasable pens have an excellent eraser - fantastic for perfectionists! The body of the pen is smooth, hard and rounded, which is comfortable enough, although for longer sessions I found it too solid. When writing with these pens, the ink flows well, although since the nibs are quite fine, there can be that slightly scratchy motion at times.The push cap tops can be mounted over the eraser for safe keeping, although they don't click on, so can be (too) easily removed. The pocket hook is soft and pliant, so it won't damage the pocket material at all.These are minor quibbles to be fair. These pens are a good set, erasable and in core colours

These three rollerball pens are different as they allow you to erase what you've written, and they do so quite well. Depending on how heavily you write, it can of course leave a residue behind of what you've written, but they do the job well enough. They come in three colours of black, blue and red, and write smoothly and easily - the only thing I didn't like so much is that they were much paler than I would have expected, obviously so that they can be erased more easily. So I wouldn't use them for anything I planned to keep for years such as a diary, but for everyday writing, studying etc they're very useful and do work well as erasable pens.

Excuse my freaky pics. The first one is supposed to be a smiley face. This was done on some white cardboard with a smooth, slightly shiney finish and as you can see it has erased a lot of it. So it's ok. The 2nd one in blue pen was done on paper and has also erased a lot as well.So it's ok but doesn't eliminate it completely but then rubbers don't with pencil either. I'm sure you could go over it again to get a better result. But it may depend on what it's written on. So to sum up it will get rid of enough to be able to write over it. And either way you have some pens to write with.

These pens are great. I’m always losing my pens, but have kept this in a safe place now so I know I won’t lose them. These are great for when filling out important forms, as mistakes can easily be erased. I am amazed at the quality of erasing, does actually completely remove the pen mark, unless you used abit of strength when writing, then you will still be able to see the clear marks on paper, but removed the pen colour. I’m well pleased with these, may even invest in abit more. The pen writes really nice too, no smudging as is with some gel type pens.

What a great pack of pens!Yes they do erase, as you can see in the picture I have drawn some squiggles and rubbed through them. The blue erased the best, very closely followed by the red then not far behind, the black. Having said that they all erased very well and was much better than the pens that used to erase years ago. Please note that the picture is enlarged so doesn't necessarily do the pens the justice they deserve.I shall be using these pens on a regular basis.

Amazing pens im in love! You can write, erase and correct with single pen. Medium tip really smooth control and nice sized for gripping. I love that you get three different colours but there is 6 available and they all refillable which is amazing as it's such a nice pen to write with. Really good quality pens with tight-fitting lids so I can't see them leaking I'm very impressed

We’re really impressed with this pen set. They write really comfortably with a lovely almost pastel gel ink finish. But then the really cool part is that they rub out with the eraser at the top of the pen. A really neat idea. You get the three important colours here - black, red and blue. The only problem we have now is who gets to keep them - me or my 9 year old daughter!

Nice idea ....butNicely designed shaped pens for easy grip and seem hard wearing . What lets them down for me is the ink colours..which are not really very bright. I guess this is because of the erasable qualities required.So...can't say I'm impressed with the quality really..might be my failing eyesight ..they do write smoothly and rub out errors effectively.
