I've had the Omnisphere 2 upgrade for about a month now; I'm still getting to grips with it.There is such a lot to discover and explore. Assuming that you are familiar with Omnisphere 1, I've got some very good news: the upgrade process is really smooth; Omnisphere 2 works really well with my DAW, Ableton - VST - , and best of all, the sounds that I used for all my projects are perfectly preserved, including the ones that I've created by myself. What a relief.I think that overall, the sound quality of O2 is just a little better than O1. What is more noticeable are the thousands of new sounds that are available and the improved, faster, interface, which also seems more clear and spacious.

Absolutely massive virtual synth/sampler of unbelievable quality and realism. I have had Omnisphere for years now and every single session of using it leaves me more impressed than the previous. Omnisphere inspires the creation process without a shadow of doubt and the realism and workability of the widest array of voicings your ever likely to have at your fingertips will not fail to impress. This new version 2 and its free upgrade to 2.5 is even more awesome than version 1 which I rated as "The very best synth (soft or hard!) that money can buy...ever!

A truly gorgeous sounding quad voice synthesizer, with wave table facility, vast waveforms, deep sculpting, routing, effects and arpeggiation, a massive library and a fantastic inteface. If that weren't enough, It holds each quad layer synth in stackable multi mode 8 times . It also accommodates a growing list of pre mapped and modelled synth hardware and us easily maooed to any controller. Omnisphere,Trillian Bass and Soundscape Keys can all be run from a single interface. Eric Persing is an inspired designer.
