Costly, yes. But anything enameled and from Silit is always of extremely high quality. This lovely pan is no exception. I use mine for oven cooked dishes, then take it straight to the table because it's very much elegant enough to serve from.Don't be put off by the terse one star review. Nowhere is it suggested that this is a non stick pan, so criticising it for failing to be something it never pretended to be is absurd. If you want non stick go elsewhere. If you want a fabulous, heavy bodied enameled steel pan that's been precision manufactured in Germany, look no further.I have teamed mine with a Silit glass lid, which is available as an optional extra.
