First things first, as has been mentioned this is more of a "sim" than a game. You WILL find yourself on campaign mode spending hours, if not days out at sea thinking "where the f*** is everybody?" and you WILL find this game hard to master...don't whine when a Royal Navy escort fleet blasts you out of the water the first few times you play this!!!The graphics are excellent, even by todays standards as long as you have a PC that can handle the best settings. When the action starts however, its fun. Nothing like watching your sub (with the exterior view selected...obviously...)slowly dive as deep as you dare go with depth charges exploding all around you!

i decided to buy this game after some good reviews and in no way did it disappoint. the original was fairly easy at 81% realism as the AI isn't that good however once you get a super mod like GWX or NYGM it becomes so much better. these make the game more of a challenge with great realism and historical data. i would advise anyone who buys this to gets those mods. There are even more to chose from which make the game incredibly realistic and detailed.in short this game doesn't have the graphics of SH5 or any new game but gameplay wise it can equal mario, spryo and crash bandicoot. you just want to play it over and over

Graphics are very good indeed, as is the realism (although my submarine warfare experience is, thankfully, zero). It is a game that requires much patience and you can return from missions lasting several days without even having any enemy engagament! But the fun of sneaking into the middle of a convoy then picking off boats at will is very satisfying. Just don't let the enemy start pinging you!! Hours of enjoyment for the patient amongst you.

This is a surperb game, but not for the casual gamer. The graphics are fantastic, it sounds great, and the enemy AI is (almost always) pretty damn smart. The fun of sneaking your boat into a good firing position, setting a torpedo to run just below the enemy's keel and then seeing the magnetic fuse break that ship's back is not to be underestimated. You will need some patience, it takes a while to learn all the tricks, but an excellent game.

Easy install no problems at all,hard to get your head around until you get the hang of the pretty large micromanagement of historically accurate gauges and controls,fun with some nice sunsets rough seas and tense moments of getting depth charged while diving into the deep,seems like a game that will last a very long time and require alot of time to get into,alot.

Item arrived later than stated delivery date in black plastic cover.Overall condition of game is great and it works with no problems on Windows 10 (which previous buyers from other Sellers have noted problems with this game).Pleased with purchase - especially given what little it cost! Would certainly use this Seller again.

The best submarine sim ever. However if you sign-up to the Subsim.com website, you will be able to access two 'Megamods' that enhance this sim ten times over.I plead with you to have a look at Neal Stevens website and make your own mind up.Best regards to all of you.

I FIND SILENT HUNTER 3 A VERY GOOD GAME AND ALONG SIDE MISSIONS IN THE MED VERY VERY ABSORBING, SHOULD THIS REVIEW GET TO UBISOFT, PLEASE PLEASE DONT OVER ELABORATE ANY MORE OF THIS KIND OF SOFTWARE HAS YOU DID WIYH SH5 AND TO A LESSER DEGREE SH4

As a simulation this quite realistic. The game aspect is harder than you might think and with time acceleration the speed of manoeuvring is acceptable.An interesting game I shall keep going back to.Runs fine under win 7

I love this but it needs the Grey Wolves freeware patch to make it less irritating and more enjoyable. Still the sort of game you could lose a weekend to, and made me want to know more about the Battle of the Atlantic.

After discussions with friends who have pcs running XP, this is apparently an excellent game.General opinion is that it is the best availableI just wish it ran under windows 10

This game might be white whiskered by now, but it still hasn't been topped for atmosphere and user friendliness. If you can get it, buy it. Recommended.

Great game. Love playing it and worth trying out if you like a strategy style type of game. Must have patience but well worth it

This is an amazing game. It works fine and the graphics are amazing, but it's just a shame there is no free roam mode.

Overall good cannot find any faults. The only thing I would like is to move around the sub more.
