Caesar 3 is a prime example of a game that has taken the idea of simcity and advanced it greatly. With Caesar 3 you are the governor of a new roman city and you are to raise it from the dust to a vast metropolis to rival Rome herself. The graphics for the game are still pretty good by today's standard and would look like younger gamers would like it but I would only suggest this game for mature gamers with a lot of patients as the user interface is sometimes difficult to handle and the task of building a city can't be completed overnight.In the game you get complete control over tax's, housing, trade, health, military and even which God's your people pray too. There is one large campaign mode in this game,

I first played this game a fair few years ago when someone installed a playable demo on the schools computers in year 6. It went down like a house on fire, after a few weeks a rota had even been drawn up so that everyone got a go. Years later I found it in a game shop, and bought it for old times sake, and what a fantastic game!Really it does what it says on the tin, build a Roman city, and definitely not as boring as it sounds. You can't really rate this game unless you play it. Its addictive as every thing you do affects the city and causes it to change in some way. You can spend hours on this, or just 10 minutes which is another good point. Some games take so long to load that its hardly worth playing if you haven't got much time,

Caesar 3 is the most enjoyable and absorbing city sim I've ever played. Sim City (any version) is just dull, dull dull by comparison.The graphics are really attractive, and yet they're sufficiently simple to work on even a basic system. The buildings are really well drawn and you can easily distinguish the different people running about.The developers have also done really well with the sounds, from the entertaining mission briefings to the things the little Romans tell you if you click on them. The developers have really put some work into the voices of the different characters and their entertaining banter.The missions present enough of a challenge,

I love this game. The graphics are showing their age now, but it's still very playable, if you like gently paced games where a wee bit of thought is required. I've spent a considerable amount of time playing and replaying the game, and have never managed to complete it. Some of the levels can be quite difficult and even frustrating at times, which gives you all the more satisfaction when you succeed. This game is a minor classic, and has a certain quiet charm about it. It is very absorbing. Buy this and you will lose many hours of your life, but you won't regret it.

This is the second CD of the same game and same version i am planning to buy..as my first cd is scrateched because of lot of playing. The game is absolutely perfect. Graphics are Ok. not so good as AOE. but those who like the strategic games; the game is perfect. The complexity goes on increasing along with every stage and after the 4 or 5 stages it is very very difficlut ot finish the game. But still it is enjoyable. The person who can manage nad has good strtegies can surely be able to finish it.

I bought this with my mates for a joke. The cover looked crappy and i figured it would be funny to waste £3.00 on a game. It was the best investment in pleasure i've ever done. Admittedly the graphics aren't the best. But it is so fun building up your own rome. There is so much detail in this game. You have to get a perfect balance in order for the place to make a profit. The trade is realistic and makes you enough money to keep going. Buy this game!

I'm not very into computing, but this game has to be the best game I've ever played on the computer. you get into it from the start, as the music and graphics really put you in the right mood the challenges are hard, and as i've only ever borrowed it from my friend i've not quite completed it all yet.the price i've seen here i amazing,i'd have bought it for 10-20 pounds, so getting it for 3 was brilliant :)

This is a serious town /planning / strategy game which is totally engrossing through the various campaigns that are presented. The isometric graphics are more than adequate for the game and, in fact, Caesar 4 which had much better graphics lost a lot of the essential joy of this game. If you are seriously interested about strategic town planning and mission then this is a great game.

Absolutely brilliant game. A bit dated now but way ahead of it's time at release.Installing on windows 7 is a bit of an issue, don't follow the auto installation as it won't work. I found a tip to go into the file explorer of the disk and open up the Setup.exe file. This runs the installation as usual and works perfectly afterwards.

When I was in 6th form I had this game on my latop which I played instead of revising lolIts such an adictive building game, and I love the level progression it never gets old.Even now I still play it when I have nothing else to do.If you like this and like Egypt get PHARAOH its the same thing its so much fun!

Caesar 3 is a game about building roman city's. It'll Run Good on a reguler Penium 3 PC but still has OK grafics for the game. I have playd it for year's and it is still fun. Worth your Mony if you like strategy games. I know people who compar it to Age of Empires but it is compleatly diferent.

I used to play Pharaoh and this game when I was about 10, now I'm 22 and rediscovered this game I'm loving it again. Probably not as addicted to it as I was at 10 years old these days but still simple fun game playing. I recommend this game to children and adults :)

If you like the challenge of building a city, pleasing gods, trading, looking after your people and fighting the enemies of rome. This game is for you. The graphics are not brilliant and the battles are not fantastic but this game is very addictive and very fun.

I played this game when I was like 10 years old and was very surprised that I can still buy the old version of it! Delivery was quick and no problems with the product. I could manage to play it even on my small quite slow laptop and did not have any issues.

My best ever game even though it is so difficult.I played it many times and did not yet win it (at the time of writing) even though i set it to "very easy" it is so difficult to raise my prosperity rating high enough to win.
