THE GOOD:Let me start out by saying that Disciples 3 is an excellent game. The single player campaign is really good, the story is interesting and it will keep you playing. But where this game really shines is the hot-seat mode. Playing with your friends against each other has never been this much fun in a turn-based strategy game! Playing the game is almost as much fun as watching your enemy upgrade his armies, or battle it out in a dungeon against some nasty creatures. The graphics is also amazing. You can spend lots of time rotating your units, checking out their equipment and clothing. The detail on these is just insane, the decoration is jaw-droppingly stunning. Music is also amazing, and these elements together provide an atmoshpere so strong that you want to return again and again "just for one more turn", which will almost always lead to a game ending long after midnight...THE BAD:Even though the game is already at version 1.06.2, it still has some bugs. The most problematic of these is that your hot-seat settings aren't saved into save files. Another issue is when right clicing an item in a store, it says "price: 2500 gold" for example, but right clicking the same item numerous times will soon make that same item cheaper or more expensive. What I also hated was that the hot-seat maps created by the devs were very buggy, some places were unreachable because of invisible walls. Downloading some fan-made maps from the internet solves this though (fixes for dev maps are also available) so this issue can actually be solved.CONCLUSION:Disciples 3, despite the bugs and some issues with the game mechanics, is still a very good game, much better than the Heroes series in my opinion. The RPG levelup system for your hero (and your units) is so well created and balanced that it will blow your mind. Disciples 2 already had these features, but the devs took everything that made that game outstanding, and polished it to perfection. If all the aforementioned bugs are fixed, Disciples III will be very close to being perfect.

This review is for the single player campaigns only.If you like turn based tactics/strategy games with some role-playing elements, character developement and a story you can't go wrong with this. If you also prefer a slightly darker feel to your games rather than candy-coloured comic grafics you will appreciate D3 even more.Overall:--------Grafics *****Sound/Music **** (one star deducted for repetitive music)Story ****Fun *****Positive:---------- The hex based tactical combat at the heart of the game is just loads of fun!- Character developement is excellent now, as you can plan ahead which abilities you want to acquire with your hero.- Army/Town developement very interesting (same "skill tree" principle as in D2)- Hero, abilities and most items are transferred from level to level throughout his campaign- Global map spells can now be used in tactical fights as well (using runes)- Beautiful grafics and good music / sound effects- Difficulty can be adjusted better than in D2 (where easy wasn't really easy).Negatives:----------- The only *major* issue I have with the game is the inventory management which is really lousy. I really hope Akella patch this.- The AI is not too smart, but to be fair, I haven't tried hard difficulty yet.- Music is quite repetitive

Ever since I have played Disciples II, I became a fan. Now with this new release, I needed to find out if was still good.I was not desapointed, some things changed, but I was not desapointed. It is not as dificult as Disciples II, at least in the normal dificulty level. It is the kind of game that you start playing and you soon lose track of time... All in all an excelente turn-based strategy game, one I am sure I will not stop playing so soon, and that I am sure will play again just for the fun of it in the future.

I've played this now for a few hours and I'm still really enjoying it, and I suspect it will keep me entertained for quite a few more hours before I start to get bored of it. If you enjoy this type of genre, you'll enjoy this game. It's by no means as good as Kings Bounty: The Legend/Armored Princess, but it's a good gap filler till the next instalment of Kings Bounty.
