in years gone by they used to issue "phase two" games releases like this as add-on discs, mission discs, or expansion packs. the current thinking is to put them out as standalone games, and whilst not charging full whack on first release, the software houses can extract a good deal more from punters than the usual low price value-based all-profit module that they used to. The blurb on the rear cover suggests the game has been souped up and improved but it is exactly the same, even the gui is identicle, they haven't even bothered making those gratuitous changes that fool unwary players into believing some extra work has gone into it, like they did with Mass Effect and The Sims Medieval and Pirates (same game,

Frustratingly unplayable. I am a fan of this series and was looking forward to playing it. I thought it odd that the default diffulcultly level was easy so set to difficult - Instagib after a few turns. So set to normal difficulty much to my chagrin. Constantly facing superior numbers of superior level units with no hope of upgrading mine on the first level! No way to complete it despite trying numerous tactics. Hugely dissapointed. Don't waste your money. I think the game designers were tripping when they balanced it.
