With a new hard drive in my MacBook, I wanted to start with new backup & bought this. Sadly it was pc only, the others have been both, & auto-initialised. On-line, what to do was several steps beyond my comfort zone. Managed it, then Time-machine demanded the old Seagate for the back-up! I now have a fab, empty drive to put all photos, videos, old books & music on too! Seagate are great drives: sturdy, small, fast, & this one is even elegant! And easy to get even in these times thanks to Argos!

Following recommendation of the Seagate brand I researched which portable hard drive was best for me. I decided on the Seagate Expansion Plus 2TB. It was easy enough to set up and I've transferred 3000 photos on to it and it has barely touched the amount of space available. It charges via the cable to my laptop so no need for a separate charger. its small, light and neat (fits in palm of your hand) so I carry it around with me so I can quickly look at my documents. Definitely recommend it.

My WD backup disk suddenly died and I needed a quick replacement. This was delivered within a few hours of ordering. Top marks to Argos for their same day home delivery service - used it a number of times now. Although my previous disk was USB 3 too this seems much faster. Initial backup took a few hours but about half the time estimated (nearly 500GB). Time Machine did the necessary formatting and setting up for my iMac. Really pleased with everything including a great price for a 2TB disk.

Transferred movies, music etc onto this drive from my laptop. No problems there, drive connected straight away and transfer was speedy. Problem arose when I plugged it into my Samsung bluray player, it does not recognise the drive. I googled it and it turns out that this is a known issue and requires an MBR (master boot record) software patch. Will have to remove all added content to do this which is a pain but not a showstopper. Please beware this is not a physical fault with the drive.

Not sure how to review a product like this but here goes.My first point is Value for money. Less than £60 for a 2tb storage device is great. Out of the box it is straight forward to use (Plug & Play) It has software built in if you need but I chose to delete this off as not required for me.The casing feels light but its a storage drive and you would expect to look after it so for me this should be fine.It's not a super high-performance drive but for general home use its perfect.

The way i've worked mine is transfer all games i'm currently not playing onto the hardrive. Leave the games i'm playing on standard PS4 storage.As soon as you're finished transferring the unused games onto the hard drive, disconnect the box to ensure it disconnects safely and causes no issues.Hope this helps.Product is a lot smaller than what i thought it would be and looks really nice. Games take a little while to transfer (average 10 min per game). Perfect for my requirements.

When I collected the hard drive from Argos, I did notice that the box was marked and dented but thought it was merely superficial damage to the box and that the contents would be undamaged. However, on unpacking the box it was immediately evident that the hard drive bore a number of scratches and had been used and/or mishandled. Although the performance of the device has not been impaired, Argos should have inspected the hard drive and withdrawn it from sale as it is clearly not new.

I needed to upgrade my storage on PS4 as I was running out and this external hdd is very handy. As most current generation games can involve higher gigabyte downloads having a 2 terabyte external hdd really helps. The set up was simple just plugged in it to the PS4 and short format conversion and it was done. The ergonomic design of the hdd blends nicely with the PS4. Remember this can be used on PC, laptops and Xbox Ones so it is worth the purchase.

I've had a Seagate external HDD before which I didn't like so I was reluctant to buy another. The last one was a wifi style and I found it difficult to use, but this one is brilliant, plug in and go, literally. I use a Mac and there's no issues at all, I'm super pleased with it.Also, this socially distant procedure in store (Sainsbury's Castle Vale) was spot on, the organisation of the queue made it seamless and quick. Much appreciated.

I found this on Google. I need 2TB easily accessible for my weekly backup. I was amazed at how much you can get on a tiny hard disk these days. It comes with its own Segate backup application called Time Machine, which works fine, but you need to think carefully about the difference between Backup and Mirror, because if you delete things in Mirror it will delete the original too. You just have to decide which aoproach you want to use.

If using this drive for the Xbox you will need to format on the Xbox. Once you have done this it will allow you to use as a storage for your games. When I initially connected the drive it would only allow for storage of music however after reading the reviews I realised this was only because it required formatting. I would highly recommend this product for anyone looking for additional storage on the Xbox.

Used with an Xbox one and works like a charm. Plugged it into the Xbox with the cable that it came with, it registered on the Xbox then I just followed the set up on the Xbox to use it for game storage, it formatted it via the Xbox for me, didn’t have to do a thing and in minutes was ready to download games onto it. Left it laying on top of the Xbox as it’s about the same size as my hand and light weight.

Takes a while to clear 100gb of photos and videos from my pc hard drive to this external drive but all works well and was a decent price. Can't say fairer than that. Have used 1TB Seagate version in past and it continues to behave well as a photo and video library / storage unit. Would have given it 4.5 stars if that was possible. Haven't marked it for connectivity because that is irrelevant in this case.

This is was bought for essential work related backup of another portable storage device. Mainly large video files.It's nice an easy to buy from argos. I bought this during lockdown and picked it up at an argos within Sainsbury's, in Rustington. It was just a pickup point. Usually I get quick service within Argos. Also I do feel I'm safe buying from Argos, if I need to return an item.
