I was thinking about what would be the opposite of a sans-disk. Perhaps avec-disk? You can see that I am not very well informed about these. Of course I have used the other disks, like floppy disks, diskettes and even tape drives. Even audio cassettes when I used a ZX81. Now that was computing!!Anyway what to say about these litte bits of blue plastic. They are clever. You can record your accounts, the letters you've sent and of course your photographs. That's what I've used them for and also found that they fit into one of those electrical photo frames.Mind you they would probably fit into a whole range of things, but would they do anything?I mean if you put them into a slot maked SD - or something like that - then most likely you will be able to record stuff on it and then play it back afterwards. The important thing is not to put it into just any old slot. One that says button A would not be a good idea or one that says no SD in here please.I have no idea how they work. Perhaps it's got wensleydale cheese in it; no it would have to be that blue cheese - obvious when you think about it. Anyway there are 16 GB of the stuff in this one and that's enough for anyone. There's a handy little patch of white on the item and you can write on it. Not a lot perhaps, but maybe the beginning of that novel you always wanted to write some day. For example: "Elaine came down..". That would probably be it unless you write very small and then that would probably be overdoing it.So, all in all this is a goody if you have a device that it will fit in.

We are fortunate to travel extensively by cruise ship. It is ideal to have a digital camera handy to make a record of new places that you visit.Such camera's are usualy supplied with a 2 or 4 megabyte (if you are lucky) SD card which will hold perhaps 100 or so pictures if you use a high definition setting. I did a camera shoot at my Grandaughters birthday party last weekend with my Casio Exilim camera at 7 megapixel setting (which gives you about 1200 shots on a single 16GB SD Card)Note that a 7 megapixel shot will give you a crystal clear print at "A3" size.Alternatively setting the camera to 3 megapixel, the camera will hold about 2200 pictures with a good print at A4 sizeUsually you end-up buying additional SD cards especially if you are have one of the "New generation" Mini CamcordersThe SanDisk 16Gb card is an excellent buy. High street camera shops and electrical stores will try to charge you anything up to £64 for the identical product. I know this to be true, as I had tried to purchase the same product in a town nearby.

Genuine Sandisc Card... Simply Brilliant Price !!! For this quality of card. However !!! One thing puzzles me, Amazon like frustration free packaging. Great idea, saves a lot of waste and unnecessary packaging. Why then ???? When I ordered three of these cards with free P & P )Were they all dispatched at the same time, in three separate envelopes. What a waste of time and money. Surely three little cards could all have been put in the same envelope.Re complaints about not working in card readers. I do not understand why people make this complaint, don't they read the info, on what they're buying. This is new technology and much faster than standard SD cards. Unless your computer is new,it's reader probably doesn't read SD HC cards.... But for under £2 you can buy an Integral USB Card Reader that you just slot the card into.... Not complicated, nor expensive. These cards are a fantastic buy, good quality and top spec... They would cost a lot more on the high street.

It's an SD card, what's there to say? It performs fast enough to shoot continuous RAW images from my 10.1MP DSLR at 3 FPS, it will pause for half a second from time to time admittedly (to copy data from the buffer to the card), but only once every 10 shots or so. So, it's a good card, slower than the pricier cards, but it's so cheap that's to be expected. I've had no data loss, corruption or issues of any kind reading from this card. No camera I've put this in (that supports SDHC) has refused to write to it.I honestly think that this is a brilliant card unless you want CF performance, in which case you need to be looking at more than £18! If I had another camera that would take that many shots off a single charge I would certainly buy another. At present my DSLR *should* run out of power before finishing the card, and that's including a battery grip. For those of you interested a 10.1MP camera will store 1600+ RAW images or 4000+ JPEG images.

I have this card and find it excellent for still photos and for HD video (even though the camera is supposed to have a class 6 card for video). However, it is clear from some of the unhappy customers that camera and other equipment manufacturers should make it clearer whether the product takes SDHC or only the older SD. In the manual for my wife's camera this is stated but is not prominent. To my main point; whatever type of card their camera takes, do users realise that they should format the card in-camera? This ensures best performance and a lesser likelihood of problems with any make of card. Formatting in this way can be used to empty the card after all files/pictures have been downloaded to a computer.NB remember that files cannot be retrieved after formatting.Even if you delete your files/pictures using the camera it is as well to re-format the card in-camera periodically as well as before using it for the first time.

Just how cheap can this memory get ?I am using this card in my Kodak Z1015 HD video capable digicam, the card is fast enough to cope with HD video to be continuously streamed to the card, I recently shot a continuous 29 min video with no problems whatever (8GB would have given me much longer)...it seems just greatThis card is classified as a "class 4", which means that it must have a minimum write speed of 4 megabytes per second, this seems fast enough for my purposes, other cards are classified at class 6 (6 mb/s min), so its not the fastest, but it seems fine for videoJust a note though....make sure that the device that you plan to use this card with is SD HC compatible as some older devices wont recognise this cardI am sure that memory will get even cheaper, but this seems like a great price to me, high street retailers often charge three or four times this price...Sandisk is a well known brand name too...great value

I'd previously stored some digital photographs on a 4 gig data stick which was used in a small digital photo viewer. The stick was full up and having purchased a new tv with a slot for an SD card I figured I could put all my digital photos on this card and view them on the tv. As our PC is four years old I had to purchase the related usb stick to allow the SD card to work in the old PC. I downloaded all photos from the PC in about forty minutes. Contrast this with the twenty minutes I waited while some photos on a CD were downloaded back onto the PC to allow transfer to the new SD card. I now have about 6 gig of photos on this little card and the viewing results on the tv are marvellous.I am delighted with my purchase which has loads of capacity and is quick too! I can now bore visiting relatives with an endless slide show of times past! I received both products within a couple of days of ordering.

It may be worth spending a little more for the frustration free packaging version - even if you're careful, you're likely to stick a scissor point into your thumb while fighting to get into the standard retail packaging which really is evil. The card is very slightly under 16GB even if you call a gigabyte 1000^3 bytes (and under 15GB if you call a gigabyte 1024^3 bytes), but I'm not going to complain about this as there'll be a stack of spare blocks of memory hidden on it too which can be switched in to cover for any that develop faults over time - what really counts with flash memory is durability (unless you need more speed), and with this brand I'm confident that I'll be getting that.I bought two of these and I'll be working them hard, so if I manage to wear them out I'll come back and let you know how many rewrites they were able to take, but I don't expect that to be soon.

...enough play time.I like podcasts, I like BBC Sounds, I like random play, I like a good night's sleep.Fortunately I like to go to bed with Jane Garvey and Fig Lover, Charlotte Green and Jeremy Hardy, Stephen Fry and Huge Lorry. The advent of good quality economical priced SD Drives has changed listening habits of many. The demise on my very loved and venerable Asus 940HD meant I needed a new player for my collection of Pod Casts but my old system of 250GB drive and the Asus was not matched by the less flexible Chromebook which struggled to pick up my playlist from the large drive.I tried an 8GB drive and that seemed to work well so I have now installed a 16GB SD card and my night time listeningis assured.A chromebook may seem over kill for music playback and a 16GB drive more so but the two work seamlessly through the night and day and that is all one could want.

does what it says on the tin really.quick transfer rate and all in all good quality.the only downside to this one is that i put some pictures on it to view on my TV and that went very well, but i tookit from my TV and then it would not be recognized in my laptop, computer or even back in the TV, nothing would come up. two days later i thought about throwing it away and just thought i would give it another go in my laptop and hey presto it popped up and alls good and well with it. so it must of been my fault somewhere down the line , but cant be sure so i will not put anything on it that i don't have backed up somewhere else just in case.Apart from that its a great little card and for the price (a black Friday event)you cant beat it.If i hadn't of had this trouble ( not knowing if it was me or the card ) then i would of given it a five star.

This is the first time i have bought a sandisk card from the internet, but have always bought sandisc. WHY, because sandisc specialize in this media of storage. I have never had any problem with any of my sandisc SDHC cards. I have always shopped around for the best deals, for, money is money. So when i came across a 16GB card for this price, you cant go wrong. I believe sandisc is the best storage media money can buy, and at this price, you can afford plenty of it. So theres no excuse to miss the end of your grand childrens parties, the end of your holidays on video, and as far as photographs concerned, snap away till your batteries run out. Infact i would imagine it will probably cost you more in batteries than storage.I hope this will help you decide on who's media you will buy, as far as im concerned, im fine.WELL DONE SANDISCPIP

A nice, solid, affordable reliable card. Big enough to hold plenty of pictures. It's not quite as big as some of the newer cards, but there's plenty of room, and a lot of devices will only take up to 32GB cards anyway, as there's a change of format from SDHC to SDXC to go higher. Class 4 might not be the fastest card either, with newer cards reaching class 10 or UHS standards, but it's plenty fast enough for most stills photography, and handles 720p video recording without issue.Be careful when purchasing other larger cards, as there's a current scam where small 4GB cards are hacked to show bigger capacities. You might not notice until you come to take your data off the card, and find anything above 4GB is corrupt. To be safe, check all new cards with a full memory test, such as h2testw on Windows, or F3 on Linux or Mac.

OverviewI purchased this SDHC card for my new camera. I have taken 1500 pictures so far and I still have at least 500 to go. Plus it handles HD videos nicely. The AdvantagesAround 2000 PicturesAround 30 MinsStores FastFits nearly all camerasInexpensiveThe DisadvantageSlightly DelicateTakes Around 2 Weeks To deliverJust remember this is a SHDC card, so it probably won't fit your mobile phone and make sure it is compatible with your device before you order. Your device might only accept a SD card. Also, I noted it takes around 2 weeks to deliver. This was when it said it would only take 3-5 working days. Make sure you buy it at least a week before hand if you are ordering with standard delivery.ConclusionVery impressive, powerful memory card. Very reasonable price and holds plenty of data for your needs.

SanDisk are my go to brand when it comes to memory cards.Whilst this 16GB class 4 is not the fastest card, for the money it offers good value and additional storage space.Used in my video camera I own, it works perfectly well.Over the years I have owned many memory cards the vast majority of which are SanDisk.Due to my line of work I get through memory cards quicker than most, but the failure rate with any from SanDisk has been better than some other brands I have used. The returns and replacement procedure for cards in warranty is a bit of a hassle if you use cards on virtually a daily basis and by the time you have logged the issue, done all the necessary steps required and sent it back it is not worth it in my opinion.Despite this I continue to use SanDisk as on the whole they offer good value for money.
