I recently bought this card to upgrade the supplied 16GB memory card in a BlackVue DR900S-2CH dash cam. It's been a couple of weeks since fitting and it's working flawlessly. This is an MLC device (that's a good thing if you'r not into technology). The practical upshot of which means it should last much longer and handle the constant writing and overwriting that dash cams, GoPros or other security recording devices produce.(Note:Standard SLC memory cards are optimised for devices such as SLR cameras which demand a fast write speed to store bursts of multiple large photograph files, but they do not keep writing continuously like a dash cam. That is why Samsung have called this product line 'Endurance').I have used Samsung memory upgrades on Apple Mac Mini and Mac Pro products and found them to be very reliable. Let's hope that Samsung has ushered in a new era of lower-cost high reliability memory cards, backed by their 5-year manufacturer's warranty. I would rather buy from the manufacturer direct, instead of from a third-party that has re-branded a memory card with their own logo (i.e. Transcend) as I have no idea who actually manufactured it. With this card, I definitely know what I'm getting. It is worth noting that the bigger the card capacity, the longer will be the number of quoted hours before failure (as all flash memory cards will fail eventually). That is because a larger card will be overwritten less times than a smaller card. It's early days yet, but should I have any issues in future with this card then I will post an update.*** Update - 6 months on ***It’s now Feb 2019 (6 months on) and the card is still working flawlessly without any issues whatsoever. Highly recommended!*** Update - 16 months on ***Still working perfectly.

I am the kind of person who takes lots of pictures with my Galaxy S7 and hate to delete and transfer images to PC. So far I had a Samsung Pro+ 64GB micro SD card, but it is about to become small for me so I was looking for a 128GB one. But as I like to buy performance parts I would not stick to a regular SD card (and Pro Plus is not available in 128GB right now). This is where comes the new Samsung Evo Plus card for me. First, note that the Evo+ is the old model and the new Evo Plus is the new model with better specifications. It is really confusing that Samsung named the card like this...So the new EVO Plus 128GB is rated at 100MB/s for read and 90MB/s for write and is also U3.So it seems like you get Pro+ performance for less money. I ran CrystalDiskMark with Transcend RDF9 card reader and compared the Samsung Pro+ 64GB with the EVO Plus 128GB and performance seemed quite similar. However test with A1 SD Bench on my Galaxy S7 returned slower speeds for the EVO Plus. A1 SD Bench returns different results at different runs so it’s not a benchmark I trust much so I am hoping real world performance is not that much slower than Pro+. Probably the EVO Plus has better controller and newer TLC memory which brings the speed improvements. Using the card on my phone doesn’t show any serious speed difference so in the end I am happy with the performance of this micro SD card. And considering I never had a Samsung SD card to die it will be useful for quite long time for me.Edit October 2017: I have since bought Evo Plus 64GB as well as Pro Plus 64GB so I am adding benchmarks for those. The original 128GB Evo Plus is still going strong on my Galaxy S7.

I bought this memory card for my Samsung Gear 360 camera. It's amazing how many different types of cards there are out there. Different speeds, classes etc. and a lot of companies are now suggesting certain cards for their products.I usually go with Sandisk memory cards, but at the time of looking for a card for my camera, the prices seemed to have gone up on the type of card I wanted. So, despite reviews saying that these cards weren't good for the camera, I decided to give it a try.The card arrived in the same packaging as shown in the photo which was a relief considering the amount of fake memory cards out there. I also used a program to check the size of the card.Fake cards will be advertised at a certain capacity, such as 64GB but only be able to hold 8GB for example. The program I use is called H2testw. This will try to transfer dummy data up to the size of the card and then once done, try to read it. If the card is genuine, it will write all data and then read it back. Definitely a good program to have on your PC if you buy memory cards. I've identified a number of fake cards using it (none purchased on Amazon). On using the card, the camera had no lag whatsoever even when using it on the highest settings. I also didn't lose any recordings or photos due to corrupted files and it's still going strong nearly a year later with a fair amount of use. This is definitely another option to the Sandisk memory cards out there, especially when the prices of the different cards get more expensive. If you found this review helpful, can you please help me by clicking on the helpful button. Bought the "256Gb" version. These Samsung U3 Micro SD cards are as good as the normally more expensive SanDisk Extreme range IMHO.For years I would only ever buy & trust SanDisk for Cards for Critically Important data like for Camera usage but I was tempted to try out the competition as I hadn't done so in years & I'm so glad I did :)I've stressed it for a while in a USB 3 Reader & it's handled everything no problems at all, so for the past month or so it's been in my Nikon Camera & performing as it should. The card is quick enough for 4k recording on my Nikon D7500 & also good enough for some basic burst photography though I wouldn't expect it to take constant bursts /heavy burst usage that maybe some pro photographer's might do as it's by no means a 300 quid super speed card ;)That being said here's the figures I get from my card ;Read : 95Mb/s up to even 100Mb/s all day long on transferring anything from it or copying anything from it.Write : 75-85Mb/s all day long on transferring anything to it or copying anything to it including small or large files.I can honestly say also that I recently bought a SanDisk 128 Gb Extreme Pro & the Samsung's Write speed is roughly 3 or 4 Mb/s faster than the more expensive SanDisk's 71-81Mb/s however the SanDisk's far quicker read speeds will probably appeal to more users as that was up to 140Mb/s.All in all I can highly recommend this Micro SD card to anyone requiring a fast write speed but please do buy it either Direct from Amazon or at least from a trusted 3rd party seller ;) as fake SD & Micro SD cards are so so common :(

I used this MicroSD card to expand the storage of my Moto G5 Plus. I've had it for just over a year now and so far so good. I've had no issued with performance or technical issues. It is still running like a champ. The main reason for purchasing the 128GB version, was that I intended to record and create travel videos in 4k using my phones camera, and not once while I've been away have I ran out of storage or had any issues whilst recording directly to the card. I'm able to fit my 20GB of music on my phone with enough space left over for all of the photos and videos I take on a day to day basis. As far as transfer speeds go, I have no complains.I have been using the adaptor that came with the card to transfer files from my phone to my PC and vice versa, which has been lightning quick. You won't get the speeds mentioned in the description of 100MB/sec read and 90MB/s write, but it's not so far off as to make it an issue.I've not seen anything about the warranty on Amazon, but on Samsungs website it says there is a 10 year limited warranty. So another positive should anything go wrong. At the time of writing, the price for the 128GB version is £30.99. Which is a big drop from what I paid (£50.25) last year. So if you are in the market for a new MicroSD card, now is probably the time to purchase, and I personally wouldn't look any further than this one. For the price it's great. The speeds, durability and warranty make it a bit of a no brainer. 5 stars.*Please let me know if you found this review helpful. Thanks.*

After buying many cards on eBay that are not what they seem to be, or are advertised to be, commonly called 'fake' I paid a few more pounds for this one in the hope there would be no bother. It was put in in my phone and all appeared to be well. I did not even test it with h2testw.exe to verify it was a good card. Time will soon tell I thought. It has now been in my phone for long enough to say it is OK; everything that is on it is still there although there is plenty of space left for lots more photos and music along with those videos that are taken occasionally. One thing that was a puzzle is when I first put it into my Motorola G4 it declared the card was too slow. Slow, I thought,it is supposed to be fast! I cannot see any effect of any slowness and anything I open that is stored on the card appears at once so may be something to do with the phone. I have not done any file transfers to check the transfer speed as so many other factors can affect that.Would I recommend it? Yes. It seems at this time - mid 2018 - that two 64Gb cards are more than one 128Gb card of the same make, which makes this card a good buy. I may buy another for my tablet. I don't really need it and would end up with two 64Gb cards in my spares box doing nothing rather than one.Read full review...

While this is not as fast as my 256GB samsung fit USB, which is great, this offers great economy being twice the size for not a lot more, and the speed is pretty good, ie. faster than expected for the rating but not quite as fast as the one mentioned. The Fit is all black, very tiny and easily mislaid. This MC5.. is white and a touch of red showing out of the adapter, with a grey and white label, so excellent to find and see installed! I am totally satisfied with its performance and am in the process of allocating drives to types of subject. Family history eats up space after a few years, 120GB with photos etc. and at this price I can put it all on to one mini card. Fed up with a drawer full of heavy, space consuming drives (bricks!) so gradually getting rid of them. Just make sure that you back up once or twice even so. My laptop refused an update because of lack of space, but this speedy decision has been the answer, without cables.Just a thought. I recommend the reasonably priced tough, 4x card holder sold on Amazon, which securely holds the SD cards in place, and bought for my camera case, too. Easy to grab if you had a flood or fire. Would not fancy grabbing drives and cables, dogs and sticks!

As soon as I receive any kind of flash memory card (USB thumb drive, microSD or full SD card) I test it to see if it's genuine. There's a free tool you can use called 'H2testw' which effectively fills up the drive with random data to see how much it can hold and how fast it can write the data. Of course, you can delete this random data when you're done. It's a pretty simple test really. Once it's complete, you can tell how much data it's written to the card, how fast it wrote and read the data and therefore see if the advertised capacity/speed is genuine. On to this particular Samsung: it's the real McCoy at 64GB and has the read/write speeds advertised. One final piece of advice when buyingflash memory drives: Buy directly from Amazon and don't be tempted to save a few pennies by buying from a reseller. It's the best way to avoid a fake and therefore disappoinment._____________________________________Please kindly take a second to click on the 'helpful' button if you found this review helpful. Initially the micro SD card had some strange issue that made it unreadable whenever any amount of data was written to it, but that seems to have fixed itself. The Samsung EVO Plus series is a great all-rounder for general purpose mobile storage. Personally I use it for my Nintendo Switch and it provides ample storage for a fair price. Compared to other recent brands within this price range and capacity (I purchased the 512GB version), the EVO Plus performs better in terms of raw write speed, sometimes up to 3 times faster thanks to its U3 rating. This is great for transferring the contents from my old card but when it comes to everyday performance on the Nintendo Switch, this provides no major advantage as the speed bottleneck is elsewhere.Read speeds are fast, but not significantly so compared to other brands. In my tests, the differences in load time are within the margin of error and not considered a major advantage. The main attraction though, is the value of total capacity per £ you spend. If you need large, reliable storage for a good price, you can't go wrong with this.

I bought this card to use it with a 4K Dashcam. After i ordered it i discovered that this camera is supposedly compatible only with a particular kind of SD-card which is more reliable and reinforced in order to have better endurance and lifespan due to non stop reads/writes of 4K video, but the camera's manufacturer was too shy to advertise that little detail on the product site or even the cardbox, so i was really worried.Nevertheless, in the past 5 months i own it i had no issue at all, no lost videos no matter the temperature inside the car, vibrations or any other reason. My camera creates some huge video files,3 minutes of 4K video is about 1GB so this card seems to be working just fine almost at full load non stop!Of course the real read-write speed is far from Samsung's specs, but still are really fast for an SDcard (around 60-65MB/s write)i don't know how long it will last since its not built for this kind of abuse but under normal use (like a phone or a normal camera) i would definitely and highly suggesting it!

64 GB-U3 Samsung EVO Plus memory card with SD adapter. The write and read speed test was done with a USB pen drive / adapter through a USB port of PC._Conclusions:First I want to give a recommendation when buying in Amazon, always choose the option of Sold and Sent by Amazon (although it is more expensive), since in case they sell us a copy (many “sneak” them up to the giant amazon) we can claim more easily, since external sellers have different guarantees (generally worse) than those given by amazon. In the comparison of read and write speeds between the Samsung EVO + U3 and the Samsung PRO + U3, the Evo + U3 is a bit slower in writing (logically), anyway it is U3,its performance and the price at which it deserves the pain.If we need a fast card in writing to record in 4k with next-generation smartphones, digital cameras, etc., it is a good alternative.I am using it with a Samsung S8 and for now it is perfect (I hope I don't have to edit the title and punctuation).

Lost count of how many of these cards I have purchased over the last few years but find them more than adequate for most uses. The major concern is getting the genuine article as a lot of cheap Chinese copies out there that only offer and give a fraction of the advertised storage capacity, buy from Amazon and your more likely to get the official Samsung product with added security that if you have doubts you will be looked after. The card is fast and performs very well playing music files jitter free and having no pre installed ponsy bloatware. Best formatting the card to FAT via PC using free software such as GUI FORMAT although most devices that your going to use this in have the option to Format.I'm using this card in my mini usb reader to transfer ebooks, music and other files from one device to the other and it's so easy adding files to it via the PC if required or running out of Dropbox space, see the pics, great little gadget and mini SD card.tj

At last a 512 Gb card by a reputable manufacturer.I received this yesterday and spent 7 hours last night doing a non-stop copy of 17000 flac encoded tracks from my PC to the card at a steady 17 to 18 MB per second. The card never faltered despite that 7 hour hammering and is now in my phone with my entire ripped CD and other audio file collection on it. This is the first time I've been able to carry my whole music collection in my pocket and it's wonderful. Thank you Samsung, good job!If like me you were part of the early 80s microcomputer revolution then the novelty of holding a device the size of a little fingernail with a 480(ish) Gb capacity never grows old.:-)Note: real computers measure byte totals in groups of 1024 so a kilobyte is 1014 bytes and a gigabyte is 1024 x 1024 x 1024 bytes. Ram card manufacturers CHEAT by making that multiple 1000. Therefore this 512 Gb card is actually quite a few gigabytes less than that when measured by a PC!

Ordered the 256gb Evo+ after looking for a high end microSD for my Note 8. Arrived promptly with Prime and was a genuine product - always make sure you order from "sold and dispatched by Amazon" in the options, "never sold by XYZ and fulfilled by Amazon". Beware there are many fakes out there.U3 rating is legit. I just benched it on A1 SD Bench on my galaxy note 8 and it clocked in at an average 56.4MB/S read and 40.48MB/s write. Although this clearly isn't what is advertised everyone knows manufacturers vastly exaggerate thier top speeds. I did expect a faster read speed, however I am happy with the write speed for me as I got this to shoot 4K videos on my Note 8.It handles 4k and 2k 60FPS no problem straight onto the SD.I was previously considering getting the new sandisk 400GB beast , however I decided to go with this one as it was rated as faster. Happy with my choice and looking forward to purchasing the 512GB version in the future.
