Why would you want to buy a standard size 2GB SD card in this day and age? My 8 year old Fuji digital camera takes SD cards with a max capacity of 2GB. I have tried higher capacity SD cards but they have not worked which is a real shame. You can buy higher capacity SD cards from Amazon at a lower price than the 2GB. For example, I could have bought a 32GB for the same price. It's all about supply and exploit. While writing this review, I thought of something that might work and safe you money. Standard SD cards were introduced in approx. 1999 while mini SD cards came on the market around 2003. You could buy a mini SD to SD card adaptor along with a mini SD card to do the job. This will work out a lot cheaper in the long run especially if you are looking at buying a number of 2GB SD cards.I will provide an update once I have tested this out. If you beat me to it then please let me know.In summary, a good card suitable for older technology devices that are limited to 2GB in capacity.

Without question, this card is the ultimate in design and spaciousness as well as engineering: it can hold around 500 pictures more than its little brother the 1 GB card and works a lot better in allmost every way! I used cards like this before, but none as powerful, spatious or well-made as this one. It`s giant - all any serious photographer [unlike myself] would ever really need, want or care for. I would only really reccomend it to some one who is extremely serious about photography simply because of its huge size. With a chip like this there will be no more deleting of pictures or video clips and you can store data for ages whilst still being an enthusiastic photographer. If your camera can take video clips and you want to use this feature than this card is just the thing for you, because with it one you can have all the benifits of some decent length clips as well as nearly 1000 pics! no one can possibly not love it!

I ordered this item yesterday eveing, and it arrived this morning! I guess that's more to do with the supplier, rather than the product itself.I have not used it all that long, but as far as I can see there are no defects with the card. What I'd really like to say is to those idiots complaining about postage. It said in the letter that came with the card:"Please note postage £4.50 for each item is fixed by Amazon under Electronics & Photo category and can not be changed, total prices have been justified"So please stfu and leave your complaints about the postage somewhere else, because this is not the fault of the supplier or the manufacturer. If you only want to take your perspective into account and not Amazon's business views, take it up with them or take a hike :)

A review of the Transcend 2Gb Secure Digital Card:I purchased this to replace a Kodak 512 Mb card which I have used inmy Kodak EasyShare DX6490 for the last 10 years. The camera recognised the card immediately, I formattedthe card in the camera and then I tested the card on a flowerbed in the garden.Attached is a photo. The old card - the 512 Mb is on the left, theTranscend 2Gb Secure Digital Card on the right. The photos were taken at the same time of day, but the light is obviously strongerin the August photo, the delphiniums have indeed changed colour in real lifefrom deep purple to light blue. The Kodak 512 Mb card seems to my eyes have better colour reproduction, the Transcend 2Gb Secure DigitalCard has greater detail. But you decide for yourselves!

Cheapest SD card I could find and it works just how you'd want it to. No frills and no added extras just the SD card in a super secure standard plastic packaging. One disappointment for some may be the fact it doesn't come with a portable plastic casing (even smaller than the packaging) to store the SD card whilst you're not using it, but it is quite durable so a compartment in a bag would be fine.I frequently take this out of my camera and upload the images/videos onto my laptop and it's quick and painless.Recommended.

I have old canon A 510 and long long time i used one card 2 GB SDHD..and the result was- never enough space...and in the end the camera starts saying "memory card error" ...so i start read and and the technically wise people explain how there is a difference and cameras like mine use just SD ard.. so i both this one and you have no idea how happy i'm now.. i an make more then 2000 pictures in large mode and :) ... and the delivery was extremely fast :)

I often used Kingston or Transcend brand SD cards (for digital cameras, satnav, digital photo frame, etc.) and they work as expected without trouble. There was no occasion I had to throw away an SD (or SDHC) card because of failure. If you use DPF, you don't need massive memory (nor speed) and such low-cost SD card can be well-suited to DPF use. This Transcend SD card represents an excellent value for money for DPF and other applications. Recommended.

Does what it is supposed to do . unlike the 64GB card I purchased for a camera, word of warning if buying a second hand camera check the max size of the card the camera will support, I bought a 64GB card and when it did not work I researched the camera to find 2Gb was the max' size card I could use,,,,, big fat numpty prize for me and a nice expensive 64Gb card now sitting around doing nothing....the 2 GB card works fine, so all my fault ,

I bought a 8GB Sandisk card to play mp3 music on my 2009 Audi car radio. Put it into the small slot on my radio, it would not work. After some research someone suggested a Transcend 2GB would work. I thought why not try a Transcend 4GB, which I did. It also did not work. As a last resort I ordered the Transcend 2GB, Much to my pleasure it worked first time. I am so pleased I have just ordered another two Transcend 2GB memory cards

Transcend is a good reliable brand which is very popular in Japan - I have been very happy using with their USB memory devices which I bought when I was over there. It has been working fantasticly on my pentax A20 (as good as my Fuji SD card). Transcend is not a cheap brand so I was really surprised to be offered this 2GB SD card for just £2.89. I received it in great condition and within satisfactory time.

This little card is extremely spacious, which is fantastic for when you are on holiday - or generally unable to get to your computer for a while. The best thing though is that the price is very reasonable in comparison to other brands of 2GB cards. Yes, you do incur a posting charge on top of the price but, even with that additional cost, you are paying less than for most other brands of memory card.

I have brought 2 of these cards so I can store video clips i've downloaded to play back on my dvd player. Fairly quick transfers compared to many brands and works ok. Only problem get is that the card just seems to freeze sometimes when in my dvd but all I have to do is turn it off and put it on again and then picture is fine. Would recommend this as its cheap and could work for others aswell.

The product is excellent. Moreover I got the delivery in 2 days.Just to highlight that it took approx 7-9 seconds to transfer 500MB data from my PC to the card - which is good; but not upto the mark.Having said that; I would still recommend this product because you cant expect more out of it with the money that you spend.Works very well with my camera. No problems at all. Value for money.

My mother's camera only takes SD cards so I bought two of these for her. They are certainly cheap and cheerful and work fine. They are a bit expensive considering how small their capacity and speed, but they are very outdated now. Be aware if your camera takes SDHC cards, these are not that much more expensive for these but with much greater capacity so you might as well get one of those.

Considering how many devices are limited to using 2GB cards, it's surprisingly difficult to find a supply. I had previously bought Kingston cards and am completely certain some were fakes (no original packaging, logo slightly wrong etc). These Transcend cards come in sealed original packaging and with a lifetime manufacturer warranty. All 4 that I bought have formatted and worked fine.
