I purchased this 2GB Sandisk SD secure memory card to use in my new HP50G calculator, I had spent a bit time looking round locally, but could not find a 2GB card for sale as most retailers stock a 4GB as their smallest SD memory card. The problem with looking around for an anomaly item like this is the fact that you can spend a lot of time and money on expenses looking for something that is just as easily bought on line like this. The problem is with our town at this present moment in time just like a lot of towns at the moment with the recession there are a lot less shops around that used to offer items like this and even in better times most of these shops sold brands that you never haveheard of and therefore you had no idea of the quality that you are buying. As a rule I will only buy Sandisk as I have used the brand for many years and I can honestly say that I have never had a failure or problem with it, the only time I did have a failure with memory was when I needed a memory stick urgently and bought some make from a tech shop, but within a couple of days the stick would not read and on testing it I found it was totally corrupted and had to be replaced. From that day on I have used Sandisk exclusively and have had no problems since. This is a good quality 2GB SD memory card and well worth the money and at a reasonable price, it was delivered in a couple of days is fully guaranteed for the first year and does what it says on the box, what more can one ask for, highly recommended reliable memory.

Ah, it's a great memory card, really dependable. that's why i didn't hesitate to order another one. that was 5 weeks ago. still haven't got it.i've never posted a review before, never felt the urge. amazon provide a great service for items sent direct, but i personally have had big problems with a few sellers over the last few weeks. if a delivery makes it, great; if not, good luck getting any help. the main offender is trisar electronics, so i urge you, if this memory card is being supplied by them, seek it elsewhere.i ordered the memory card 5 weeks ago from tristar. After 2 weeks I contacted them, as it still hadn't arrived, heard nothing, then 1 week later got an email to say the seller was on holiday.Last weekend I got an email telling me I would be getting a refund, but no offer to re-send the item. This gesture was pointless; I could have arranged a refund myself and saved myself the hassle of waiting. the money's irrelevant; i'm not happy as a customer and my requests have been ignored. no one should have to wait 5 weeks for a tiny item. I've asked them to post item and had no reply, despite emailing twice this week.i'm sure people reading this will say, whatever, tristar were fine when i used them, but a company should be judged on how they deal with problems rather than their day-to-day transactions, and they have failed miserably here.moan over, just ordered from elsewhere. hopefully they'll value their customers.

I ordered from this Amazon site (HiTech Vendors)rather than other sites because the picture indicated the card was in an original SanDisk package. Other reviewer said SanDisk doesn't warranty memory cards that are not in the original manufacturer's package. I received the four memory cards in a small static bag - not the original company packages. Looks like I have no warranty from SanDisk (or anyone)if I have any problems. They did come in storage boxes. Very disappointed that Amazon didn't check image used for the product so that it matches what you are buying.UPDATE: The above was written yesterday. Today we discovered these cards only work in a camera (why I don't know). We cannot load pictures from our computer to these cards. If you use the card in a camera they accept data. Now I have 4 cards for my camera but none to load with pictures on my computer and send to Grandma for her digital frame.UPDATE AGAIN: Decided to ask for refund. HiTech (thru Amazon) credited my account but I still had to pay return postage. Reordered from Amazon through Everything But Stromboli and received the correct card (in case). It works in camera and through the computer so Grandma will get pictures of the grandkids after all.

This is a workhorse of a card from San Disk that is reliable and available at a reasonable price. Boasting a 2 GB capacity, the card is reported at being able to store in the region of five hundred pictures which have been taken on a 12 MP camera. It has Class 4 speed performance rating (based on SD 2.00 Specification), and the cards include security feature for protection of copyrighted data. The cards are fully compatible with SD compliant host devices. SanDisk ‘guarantee’ is the fact that their products are constructed to the highest possible standards and rigorously tested and in addition, the performance of the card is backed by a 5-year limited warranty.I own several of these cards from the San Disk stable now and of various storage capacities (2 GB,8 GB and 32 GB). I prefer to download pictures onto my computer from my camera by means of a card reader, this means a lot of moving around of the cards from device to device, they go through a lot of wear and yet to date, I have never had a card failure.I have no hesitation in recommending their purchase.

I don't think there are any negative aspects. I already had many Sandisk products - and they are all still working. Sandisk by the way is the only producer of flash memories I really trust and where I am not concerned about that the data may get lost. This Card is a very simple one which is not expecially fast or something - just good quality, safe and cheap. The transfer data, testet with H2testw ist:Write: 4,64 MByte/sRead: 8,95 MByte/sFor this price it is Ok. Of course there are faster ones but for this reason I need it it doesn't matter. It just has to be cheap. Also it is really useful for devices which are not SDHC ready, so that they can only use max.2 GB Cards. The quality of this SD-Card is also good and it is the same casing like the Extreme series, just another colour. So it is tough and I am not scared of breaking it.For everyone who doesn't need much speed and also doesn't need (/can't use) more than 2GB this card is perfect.

just ordered a couple of these and am very pleased. although the picture of this 2gb card (at top of page) does not indicate which class it is (# with circle around it) the 'technical description' from amazon says it's a class 4. however, it is a class 2 (2GB/s opposed to 4GB/s writing speed) so i informed amazon and suspect they will change it. if you scroll down to the description by the manufacturer, the picture clearly indicates this card is class 2 (circle around the 2 on the card) so it really would be best if amazon displayed that same picture at the top of page to match what is found midway down by the manufacturer and also correct the 'technical description' to read class '2' opposed to '4'as is currently reads. ordered one through amazon and being a prime member, it arrived in 2 days. ordered the other for .50 less and it arrived from nj (i live in ohio) in 3 days.

Last month whilst preparing for a holiday to New York I realised that my digital camera's current 256mb card might not be large enough. Having only realised this 2 days prior to leaving I need to get hold of a larger card fast. After wandering around town I was not prepared to pay £15 odd quid some shops wanted so I turned to Amazon. £3.92 is a bargain! Some people complain about Amazon's delivery costs but as a Prime member I get free next day delivery for £49 a year (well worth the money as this would have been £5.01!) The card itself is as easy to use as you'd expect, stick it in the camera and away you go. Transfer rate is quick and it'll hold hundreds of photos. So after a load of flannel, what I am basically saying is that card does it's job very well and is a bargain at £3.92. Don't let yourself get ripped off at high street stores.

There is deffinately a massive difference between this card and its little brothere the 1 Gb card: like 500 pictures difference! I used cards from this manufacturer before, but none as powerful, roomy or well-made as this one! It`s just huge - all any serious photographer [unlike myself] would ever really need. I would only seriously reccomend this card to someone who is extremely enthusiastic about pictures, simply because of its huge size. With a chip like this there will be no more heavy-hearted deleting of pictures or video clips and you can store data for months whilst still being an avid photographer. If your camera can take video clips, and you want to use this feature than this card is the perfect thing for you, because with this one you can have all the benifits of some decent length clips as well as nearly 1000 pics! Enjoy!

I bought just one of these to try having read some adverse comments. This first card did exactly what I wanted. It works in my Canon camera as a memory card, and it works in a USB pen adaptor in my computer. I then bought a further 5 cards all of which function perfectly. I use them for photo storage for playing on a digital photo frame, and regularly edit the contents on my computer. The only problem I have encountered is that if I want to load say a 1000 photos onto a card, I need to create several folders and spread the photos between the folders. This way, I can use the full card capacity. I have had the same problem with expensive cards.I have also used these cards to transfer/store general files etc between computers using the USB pen adaptor without any problem.

This SD comes in at 7MB/s write to(in) and 10MB/s read from (out). That means there is only a slight pause in camera action (less chance for blurring, caused by moving the camera too soon after the shot)..That is noticeably better than my old memory. This makes the disk a solid Class 6 (6MB/s)My camera was made just B4 the change to SDHC, so I cannot use 4GB SD memory. But hey, this accepts 2800 hi def pix.t gave it 4 stars because it is only a Class 6. Maybe that is being a little picky. I do not think you can get a faster SD in 2GB SD. At least I could not find any. Note: If my camera was newer I would use at least a Class 10 SDHC. The faster, the better your camera when taking pix on the fly.I believe you have to get at least 4GB in order to have Class 10 speed.

Bought this particular SD card for an 'old' digital camera that we had. Due to issues with the last set of photos I took where everything was almost white (no details/colour within the image) and my belief that the original SD card had malfunctioned, this Sandisk SD memory card was bought as a replacement. However, after numerous tests it appearred not to be the SD card but the camera that was at fault. The SD card arrived well packaged within its own clear plastic case.It certainly does what I expected of it..... pity I cannot say the same about the 'old' camera!!Also it is useful that this SD card works in our 'new' camera which came supplied with an SDHC memory card....so all was not lost and we now have more than enough capacity for lots of photographs.

I don't know much about technology and computers etc, so when it comes to buying things such as SD cards I figure it's best to be safe and just go for the branded product, at least then I can be sure its a tried and tested product, and that it will work with my camera/computer etc. This card has worked with every piece of equipment I've tried it on. In my camera this sometimes takes 4-5 seconds to save a picture, but that doesn't bother me. On my camera I can save 380 pics on 8Mega Pixel Best setting.I'd just say if you are unsure what you are doing then buy this card, as its got loads of space, and you can be sure it will work on anything, unlike some cards I've seen on here where the reviews say it doesn't work with certain things.

I bought a bunch of these for an older relative who accidentally deleted precious photos from her hard drive. I bought her a years' supply with the advice to change out the camera's memory card at least every three months (in addition to downloading them from the camera to her computer in a timely manner). I suggested that she label the memory cards with dates so that in the event of another accidental deletion on the computer, the precious photos can be accessed from the memory card. Sometimes the 2 GB cards are no cheaper (or even more expensive) than larger capacity disks but when they're on sale and the cheapest size to buy they're perfect for a situation like mine.

I've just bought a genie GT-31 GPS and needed a 2GB SD card for it. I went to the usual electrionics superstores (not mentioning any names but they sell a lot of computers). I couldn't believe what they were charging for a basic item such as this. Then I looked on Amazon and found this item at a quarter of the price! Plus shipping was free. Perfect. N.B. Free shipping isn't always available. It depends which company you buy from as this product is sold by 3rd party not necessarily Amazon.Delivery was slow but I did order between Christmas and New Year so only to be expected. As for the card it works perfectly so very happy indeed. Highly recommended.

I've bought this SD card for my old electronic ECTACO Partner translator because new updated soft required more than 1 GB memory size which I can't install to 1 GB SD card provided with translator. Today 2 GB SD card is not very popular on the market due to it is not quite a big memory size for all modern device, and everybody knows what all modern device support SDHC card (not just SD), and you may not be 100% sure what your old device will recognize SDHC card which has quite bigger memory size than even 4 GB. That is why I've chosen this 2 GB SD card and it is working perfect!I will recommend this card for some similar device.
