I bought this phone for a friend, I myself have an iPhone. I tried this phone and after a short time, very short time, I liked this phone a lot!.It's easy to use, nice, clear, large screen. The graphics are great, so easy to use. I also like the fact you have an option to increase storage space via a micro SD card so you don't have to fork out for a huge storage space phone. After a being a longtime fan of the iPhone I've kinda been tempted to buy one for myself but, I say but in a loose manner, I would have this phone as a second phone or replacement if any thing happened to my iPhone. Now for the bad points, not many but still a few. Firstly for some bizarre reason the phone takes sometime to charge up,if it's the battery then you can you always get another one(that's the one thing that's not very easy to change on the iPhone!). Most things on this phone are customisable but the one thing that's not is the black screen used in many places, apparently it helps the battery last longer, black screen uses less power compared with the white(or any other colour). There also a lot of annoying Apps that come with very annoying pop-ups, spam(not the tin type) and other sort of ad-ware. It seems like they hound you just like your desktop!. I found an App which i liked, downloaded it on to my friends phone, when opened it mimicked the phone, my friend coudn't tell the difference(new to these smartphones, bless her), what this app did was everytime you clicked an icon it would download some more crap!. After explaning this to my friend this app wasn't allowing to use her phone properly and that all it was doing was downloading spam and adware I then deleted it!.For a novice user to smartphones i would recommend an iPhone all day long(simple, ease of use, straight forward) but for someone who is more experienced and who wants to tinker, experiment, push the boundries of the phone and make a call at the sametime then go for tthis phone.I hope this helps, if I've missed something out then please let me, If that's possible, first time in leaving a review.mair.kRead full review...

Being an android lover and can't quite bring myself to get an iphone my upgrade options were limited to a few phones, after watching endless reviews and playing with a multitude of handsets i plumpt for this beast. The Samsung Galaxy S3 is certainly one of the best phones you can get. Yes the price is high, but id expect to pay the price for a quality handset. The phone feels a bit plastic'y but thats the only down side i can come across.Battery life is good and lasts longer than my other phones. Even with the big screen and wifi draining all day. A full day can be used on one charge. The Wifi is solid and flicks between hotspots easily with the better signal strength. The front facing cameraused for unlocking the phone is very intuitive and works well in low light conditions (it does need some light tho). There arent that many accessories out for this phone as yet but you know there will be, just hearing of the wireless charger (coming soon).Plenty of room for apps with a huge amount of internal storage.Camera is superb. Good lens and intuitive flash that captures precise details. ability to zoom in far to your images helps. Video is wicked but eats up that space tho.The voice controls arent quite there yet, your gonna need a fast internet connection to get this to work properly as it needs to find out what you have said via the web.Business Schedule, calender, memo's and connection to Microsoft Exchange emails to sync contacts and mails is a complete business companion. All in all. Great business phone and an awesome play toy.Read full review...

I usually try not to get caught up in the hype of new consumer products but, having had a Galaxy S2 for 7 months, I really wanted an S3 so I went ahead and bid on ebay. I managed the record of being scammed twice (!) but the 3rd time I was lucky and got it.Let's get this straight; if you have an S2 you are not going to be completely blown away by the S3, as many of the upgrades are quite subtle.I'l list them as follows1) Battery. The battery is now 2100 maH as opposed to 1600 maH in the S2 with a noticeable increase in life.2) SIM card. This is now a micro SIM card so bear in mind you can't simply move your old card over - your service provider will need to give you a new one and port your number over.In my case it took about 2 hours for the number to transfer.3)CPU. This is now a Quad Core, though the RAM is still the same at 1GB. Video playback either from your memory or YouTube is outstandingly smooth, with ultra sharp definition, colour and no trace of lag or stutter.4) Camera. This is still 8 megapixels but works better than it did on my S2 and pictures look crisper due to the higher resolution of the screen.5) S Voice. This has taken over from Iris and so far it sucks. Maybe future upgrades will address this?6) Styling. This has done away with the slightly lumpy back of the S2 and is very sleek with rounded corners and a chrome trim, probably to get away from accusations that it was "iPhonelike".It's an enormously pricey phone but definitely cutting edge and likely to stay that way for the near future.Read full review...

The first feature that catches your eye (at least caught mine) is the DISPLAY, bigger than the ones of other popular smartphones, and it's definitely a hell of a feature, because, as for videos, you feel like watching films at the cinema), as for scrolling, you don't have to scroll too much too look for the needed app/option/whatever. Default storage is 16 GB (a little less of course, because of the already installed apps, OS, etc.), which can easily mean that you won't necessarily need a micro SD (saving money is always good!), but, of course, it depends on how you intend to use it. CPU is good enough to avoid lags even if the RAM is still 1 GB (basically, you don't have to wait too much).Battery life is quite good, of course video watching drains you a lot, therefore a Battery Doctor app maybe needed (it's recommended anyway, as well as Clean Master and CM Security). If you're new to Smartphones, you might need some practice before being able to use it correctly, but if you know how to use a PC, you don't have to worry, just remember that you might need a new SIM (a micro SIM, ask your provider), or you might need to have your current one cut (careful!) Wifi, Bluetooth and Camera won't give you troubles, they're absolutely great! As for money, SRP is now around USD 319/EUR 230/GBP 190/Insertyourcurrencyhere. It's definitely worth it.Read full review...

I bought the Samsung S3 for my daughter so I'm writing this on her behalf. She previously had a iPhone 4 and has found the Samsung is not as user friendly as the iPhone, I'm an iPhone user myself and I found the phone fairly easy to set up on 1st use but I'm fairly good with tech and I've also used my husbands HTC on Android. The S3 has some great features like S Voice the Android version of Siri, Smart Stay that recognises when you are looking at the phone so disables standby mode. The touchscreen has a nice feel is a good size for viewing pics n videos. That said some will find it a bit large to slip into their jeans pocket.Compared to an iPhone the build quality , especially the back case, feels more inferior but in comparison to other phones is superior. That said the S3 has a 2yr warranty compared to Apples 1yr warranty. One bonus of the device is being able to expand the memory with an SD card up to 64GB.The camera has 8 MP and takes some good picturesThe Googleplay store has a good selection of apps and majority of them are free.Read full review...

I am a self-taught oldie with regard to all things technical. I had wanted a smartphone for quite a while, but was nervous about setting it up etc., as I had nobody to get advice from. I am so glad I went for it and that I chose the Samsung Galaxy S 3. There is a lot of help within the phone itself, giving you tips depending on what you are doing at the time. I had my accounts (Gmail etc.) synced to my computer in no time, apps. installed on my home screen and a lovely live wallpaper installed. I really want to download the eBay app. (it would be one of the most useful for me) but am a little worried about doing so because of some negative feedback I have come across.I shall keep watching the reviews and hope to do this in the near future.Whatever your age, I would thoroughly recommend this product. It is absolutely amazing. And all you oldies out there (like me) please take heart from someone who, until very recently, was a complete technophobe.Read full review...

I liked the SII and really liked the speed and performance of the phone. I then thought ...time for a upgrade. As I said I loved the SII, only one thing really bothered me was the fact that the back cover for the phone seemed flimsy. So I was hoping they would sort this minor matter to create a almost perfect mobile phone........and they did. The SIII seems much better built with quality everywhere. Thats the look of the phone..the performance ....mind blowing!! The fact that you can multitask and things move like the wind make it a dream to use and the fact that it is better in screen quality and the sheer size of the screen makes it no longer a subsitute compared to looking from a PC or laptop.I tend to be loyal to brands...what the the SIII is saying to me is.....just wait till the S4 comes out!Read full review...

This is a really fast and amazingly-thin smartphone with a very clear display - even to my short-sighted eyes - and a friendly and intuitive user interface. With a quad-core CPU and Super AMOLED display, this phone is easy-to-use and it doesn't keep me hanging around while I wait for apps to load. My previous Samsung product was a Galaxy Tab and I really notice the difference in response. The screen is smaller - so I'll need a new pair of specs - but the performance is great. My only issue is the capacitative screen, which I had problems with on the Tab and I still have trouble with on the S3 - it's much too easy for my clumsy fingers to activate some function that I didn't want to use,but that's 'user error' - I'd prefer a resistive screen.

I bought this smart phone because it is the best in the market. It has a Quad Core CPU, meaning that it is a very fast phone. I liked the fact that it is very slim and light weight. Having a lot of useful applications and a quad core cpu makes it not very expensive compared with other smart phones, which are even more expensive than the S3 and have even less applications and weaker cpu. An example is the Iphone5, it is by far more expensive than the S3 but it still has a Dual Core CPU and more or less the same or rather less applications as this one. The only thing I kind of dislike is the fact that it's a bit tall, but since it's very slim it's no big of a problem.Overall I love this phone :)

I mainly bought this phone as I wanted an up-to-date mobile that was SIM free. My contract is due to finish next year, and I wanted to be free to choose the best deal. To get this phone with a contract worked out overall much more expensive (around £1000) more, over 2 years. Its very simple and easy to use. The carmera is really good, with no delay when taking the shots. I would say it compares really well to other phones, though I have not used some of the features yet. I love the feel and weight of the phone, feels comfy to hold. Quewtry (touch screen) board is fab, lovely large screen. Over all, Excellent phone.

This is a truly awesome phone. Its screen size in my opinion makes it workable as a tablet too, and a quick one at that! The phone is still incredibly popular and as such winning a bid for one is no easy task, unless you are prepared to pay over the odds. I was fortunate. I sought out a "as brand new" one which was reasonably priced on "buy now". In short I got a brand new s3 for a fraction of the price you might pay for a new one in the shops. My only slight criticism was its colour (white). I would have preferred blue, but I became impatient. Still in a nice case I don't even notice it any more :-)

Brilliant phone, very intuitive, there is so much to the phone that I dont suppose I will ever know everything about it. As all smart phones it is very heavy on the battery. I got round this by buying a spare battery and a charger and also a plug in power pack all at very reasonable prices on the internet.Being a man I was worried about the size of it fitting in my trouser pockets but no worries it is so slim, I dont have any probs and the large screen is worth the extra size. I bought my phone in an ebay auction and got it for £280. It is 3 months old and I think I got a real bargain.

An excellent smartphone - really pushes what you can do with it. It's light, thin, easy to use, with a beautiful big clear screen - Ideal for reading books or webpages, or watching videos on. Camera is fast and sharp, giving wonderful images which rival any compact camera. After fiurmware updates, system becomes less and less likely to crash.Operating system feels very natural and organic, and so far I haven't found it missing any features I would really want on my phone. With the expandable memory available, I can see me being with this phone for many years to come!
