Ok, I think this came out after the other Rocky game for the ps2, which I also bought. It certainly feels like one, with significant improvements. One major complaint of the other Rocky game for me was that it was too difficult. Rocky legends has an easy mode that is actually you know...easy, whilst still having enough difficulty modes that it wont be too easy for people who are actually good at this game xd.The game also has a career mode where you can play as the rival from the Rocky films, such as Ivan Drago, Clubber Lang etc, except Tommy Gun from Rocky 5 because that would be pointless. And thank God. I lve the Rocky films, but not Rocky that much.Fun fact whilst filming Rocky 4 the actor who played Ivan Drago nearly Killed Sylvester Stallone with one punch. Yes that's right one punch, google it for more info. So yeah...why would you want to play as anyone except Ican Drago? Rocky 4 is really unrealistic, as this event shows. But also the game has a system where the buttons are layed out by whether or not the character is left or right handed. For example pressing r1 and triangle with Rocky will do a left head uppercut and do a right head uppercut for Ivan Drago. So if you really want to play as a left handed fighter for what ever reason, Clubber Lang, A.K.A Mr T is left handed who is also a million times better than Rocky. And don't think just because these characters aren't the titualar character there story mode is short. I mean it's not super long, but this game is set mostly before the films where you fight non film fighters for the most part, so the storyis quite substancial. And on the subject of story mode it is very good indeed, definitely improved. Like the last game you can train your fighter via a series of training mini games...or just click auto train. Unlike the last game however this game has Mickey saying a mini bio on each boxer as an option, which is a nice option. And when you play as Ivan Drago(that's right when, not if xd) during fights when you knock out your opponent like you will because you're Ican freakin Drago the referee counts in Russian, which is a nice touch. And during each round, when the fighters go to the side if you're fighting a Russian the trainer will be Russian and speak in Russian, which is also a nice touch(not such if there is subtitles, I'm visually impred). The game also has a couple of newn modes I believe(don't think they were in the last game). It has the expected exihibition mode, but also has a survival mode which has to be unlocked, and a knockout tournament mode where you can select fighters for your own tournament. So yeah in summary a lot is the same as the last Rocky game, the basic premise, controls etc. But the improvements make this game so, so much better than the last game. From th improved story mode, to the extra modes, to the improved difficulty this game is amazing and an absolute must buy.
