Having purchased this for my daughter in April and reading the reviews before and after purchase I was getting confused as to why some people were being sold fake Looms. I now realise that we must all be buying from different sellers as the review is actually for the product and not the seller, only noted as someone else listed their sellers name.Ours was purchased from H Grossman Ltd for £11.99 and we did in fact receive the genuine product. Its only now I would like to purchase another loom that I clicked on my previous orders and it linked back to another seller not H Grossman ltd, it seems they no longer have the looms available.My daughters friend recently made a purchase from Amazon and she too was sold a fake.

I really don't understand why people say it's fake. I watched a bunch of videos on YouTube comparing fake and real and the one I received was definitely real. The plastic is good and sturdy as our the bands hook and mini loom and the inscription is all in the right place. There is a red arrow like there should be and the rows are detachable and do not break. It arrives in the correct loom position. The hook did not break even when I was doing the most stressful hooking process. NONE of the bands snapped and when I was making an ice cream where you had to wrap in a triangle 3 times the band I used did not snap. The colour also does not wash out in anyway. The box looked promising but I didn't really get a good look at it.

We bought this at the start of the craze, and it was the genuine item - as available to see on www.rainbowloom.com where they show you how to identify if the real deal. In this kit you get a plastic hook - which is a bit prone to breaking, but if you do get the real loom it's well made and an improvement on using pencils or fingers to make your creations There are plenty of videos on the official site and on you tube.Beware though that there are near exact copies with the same box in the market place, and from reading other reviews here sounds like some being sold third party. I know they exist because my second child got bought by a relative - identical box and scanned instructions but

We're really enjoying using this set and making all the advanced bracelets we can!Initially it looked as though we may have had a fake because the box and instructions were all in French! I've checked with the makers of Rainbow Loom though and they produce it in French and English. Our set had all the Rainbow Loom trademarks and the box was correct - aside from the language.I'm pleased we bought the real Rainbow Loom. One of our friends has a cheap version which means the looms can't always be made from You Tube because they don't have the ability to change the loom to make the more advanced bracelets and the loom? can't be pulled through the middle.Now I need to buy more of the bands.

I was a bit worried about ordering this because of the reviews about fakes, but I have recieved a completely genuine excellent quality product. Mine came from Fun Collectibles, fullfilled by Amazon, so perhaps those getting fake product used different suppliers.I reccommend watching YouTube videos to get the hang of making the bands into bracelets and other items as the instructions with the kit are quite basic. I have another non branded loom and this one is much better. The rows are adjustable/removable so you can do designs that need staggered or parallel pegs. Also because the base is not solid (like my other loom) you can do designs that require you to pull through.

This product is not fake so don't listen to the people that say it is fake.I love this so if I was you I would buy it.So don't mess around buy it now!You can also make bracelets you can't make on other looms.The reason being is because you can take the pin bars of the blue base.We made bracelets such as;Triple link,Zig Zag and much more.We bought a different loom and it was TERRIBLE , all the pegs were falling of (10 out of 32).And we were only making bracelets, so we decided to buy a bigger and better loom, the rainbow loom.This is a loom that no pegs fall of , if they do just super glue it back together but they shouldn't.I love this loom I definitely recommend it.Don't get any loom but this one !!The things you get in the box is one amazing hook ,

Although this doesn't really look all that great it is possibly one of the best little jewellery making / craft sets that we have had. My daughter loves these type of activities but some end up being absolute rubbish. They are either too fiddly or the equipment doesn't work well enough, (if at all). This loom is brilliant though as there isn't really anything that can break or not work. It's very sturdy and the instructions for a simple bracelet are easy to follow. Further designs can be easily found on the internet and are easy to follow. A little adult supervision will be required to help younger children though.The finished items look pretty and can be taken apart so you don't even run out of materials very quickly unlike most other craft sets.

I love my rainbow loom. It is very good and I would recommend it. This is the OFFICIAL rainbow loom as I have seen how to tell if it is fake and this is not. I am a very happy person and I love making bracelets for my friends. I have now had this for approx 9 months and the only thing that broke was the plastic hook. I recommend purchasing a metal tipped hook. I purchased from Fun Collectables incase you want an official loom. It is a great quality loom and I have made complex charms to simple chains on here and none of the pins have snapped in anyway. Stop reading reviews and buy this loom. It will be the best present/toy ever.

I was concerned after reading other reviews that the Rainbow loom might be a fake. I checked the Rainbow Loom website which has a page about how to spot a fake but thankfully ours was the genuine article but the instructions were in French! It doesn't really matter as the instructions contain pictures and direct you to the website which has lots of video tutorials (in English)! The instructions though don't mention that the base is removable so that you can align the pegs according to the pattern that you are making. I suppose that it should be obvious as one of the tools have "base remover" written on it but I didn't spot that at first.Hours of endless fun and a very happy seven year old.

This is a great crafty bit of kit and the opportunities described on you tube for designs, patterns and ideas is seemingly endless. I bought it because I was intrigued having seen items made with it on pinterest but I can't get near it. It was swiped by my 8 year old daughter when it arrived and she had been looming ever since to the exclusion of all else including TV! I've no idea how long the fascination will last but she's busy making them for her friends and we've already *had* to order more bands to keep up with demand. All in all at £10 for so many hours amusement, you can't fault it.

This is the second set we have bought! I wouldn't bother buying any other version as this set is excellent and you can easily follow the tutorials on YouTube to make charms, bracelets etc. They all use this, it has arrows to help you remember which way you are working and comes apart to change position to make certain things. You can also link it to another to make bigger items. We do buy any loom bands to top up though. It's the board and hook which seem to be better quality then other products, the loom bands are all pretty similar quality wherever you buy them we seem to find.

The overall loom and bands are exactly what I wanted. The items are long lasting and great quality.The only problem is that my hook broke in a matter of days really so I was quite shocked, I thought it would be made of strong plastic, but it literally snapped off, which is quite off-putting as I have previously bought cheaper and not well made looms, but the hooks are still in one piece, and the metal hooks cost around £8 which is more than half of the money I have bought a loom and a hook with. So I am still disappointed..But the loom is really good and strong.

This is the second loom I have bought from this seller. Both are the genuine product as stated in the listing. I bought the second so that I could do longer and more intricate designs. I did email the seller before I bought the first one to confirm I was getting what I expected. I was not disappointed. I would definitely buy from the seller again should the need arise. There are lots of demo's on utube for the rainbow loom but I prefer to go on the rainbow loom website as new patterns are added regularly. All in all a fun product. Thankyou.

I can only echo what the other reviews say. My 9-year old son loves this and apparently they are all the rage at school.I went on their website to look for more instructions (there are loads of different types of bracelet you can make with this loom) and checked the product carefully to see if it was genuine. It has all the logos where it's supposed to (on the underside of the loom, on the hook etc) so it does seem to me that I have been sent a genuine item.I did order it through Amazon and not another seller, so maybe that helps.

Bought this prior to a visit from No.1 Grandchild (aged 6). Having got the loom out and given myself a lesson or two - in order to teach Grandson how to use it, you understand! - I decided that it would be better to put it to one side until he is slightly older; or, at least, until I have got the hang of it. And, incidentally, YouTube is indispensable for working out what to do - the instructions with the loom are not at all comprehensive. Grandson and I will have another go later in the year; meanwhile, Grandma is enjoying herself!
