Item as described. I have been able to test it with a bulb from another lamp but need to go out and buy a bulb before I can use it permanently. As others have mentioned, a large bulb sticks out beyond the edge of the shade so a smaller bulb needs to be sourced with a large screw fitting. The lamp looks nice from a distance but isn't exactly top quality. Where the stem screws onto the shade is a little bit rough and the bulb holder inside was not central and had to be gently bent back into a central position (whatever happened to quality control?). Seems ok though and matches our bedroom curtains perfectly (my wife's choice not mine!). It is good to have the switch on the base rather than fiddling around in the dark trying to find an in-line switch.

Ignore the reviews saying this lamp gets too hot. I have a LED bulb in there and it doesn't even get warm let alone hot. I am thrilled with this lamp. It came in a tiny box and I thought 'Oh no it's a mini lamp' but then I got it out and it's just cleverly folded over. It's the size you would expect this lamp to be. I am using this lamp as a bedside table and it is great. The switch on the base makes it extremely easy and the colour (I got red) is beautiful. This lamp is much much better than I expected for the low price. Thrilled with it!

I bought two on 22nd November. I really like them, but one of them 'died' first week of March, so only lasted just over 3 months. I can't work out how to take this up with the seller, as the 'Contact Seller' option is not appearing. I would gladly accept a replacement as the surviving lamp is fine and looks really nice.

We use this lamp at a desk when reading and writing.It's simple to use,sturdy and with the right bulb produces a good strong beam of light which covers a wide area of the desk.I can't remember how much I paid for the lamp now but I don't recall it being expensive and its certainly done its job well

ordered, delivered next day, which was two days before the LED bulbs arrived (and they're brill too!).Base sufficiently heavy to preclude worrying about it toppling over.Switch on the base = lot less faffing around that the in-line switch in the power cable that many competitors have.

Just what I was looking for and the colour is perfect. Only problem - in this day and age most lamp suppliers supply the lamp with a bulb, why don't you? I've spent hours hunting for a small - repeat small - 60watt bulb for the lamp. In the end I've settled for a 55watt "modern" bulb

I've got 10 of these for my laboratory, they are all going strong after a year of being on 12 hrs a day. We only use LED bulbs, but even the brightest ones are rated below the max wattage for this lamp. Would not use with incandescent and fluorescent bulbs.

Works great, looks nice, but comes without a bulb, which has to be a large screw-in type. I had to go into town for one, and second shop I went had one - needs a short round type, or it would stick out of the shade. Bulb cost me £2 from the hardware shop.

Bought for a kitchen worktop to fit in modern room. Really quite small (maybe too small?) & flexible and is easy to wipe clean after a few splatters of fat. Can be left on for a long time without worrying about overheating - with the right bulbs.

Lovely lamp, and my daughter has had it for 4mths now, and normally find lamps (this cheap) never last. This is very well made. Dd always has it on, and bulb has so far not needed changing. Good for homework and very bright!!!! Lovely in evening

this lamp came exactly as shown in the photo. No color difference etc. But note that it is on the smaller side, and if you put a normal sized light bulb on , ~3cm of the bulb will stick out of the casing. I have no problems with it.

Very Good value... exact colour that I wanted ( not always easy when viewing products on Amazon... especially pink !! )...but am very happy with the product, the speed of delivery and it is great value for money. Thankyou ?

Just bought this lamp, good lamp but I saw alot of reviews saying about bulbs sticking out which I have found was a problem but also found a solution! E27 Pygmy bulb gives adaquate light and does not stick out! Perfect

Cute lttle lamp. Arrived very promptly, just didn't include a bulb to test it right away. If it hadn't worked, and we hadn't got a bulb in the house, I might have thrown away the packaging. Thankfully it did work!

The actual pink is lighter than shown in the picture. But I like the new color as well.No light ball.Delivery is slow. (Don't know if it's because of the delivery company or the reception of my dorm)
