As per its predecessor, Port Royale, but with extra minigames to utilise, such as wooing the Governors daughter and swordfighting rival captains. The same core citybuilding and buy low sell high economics as before stretched on a sizeable map across 60 towns between 1580 and 1650 A.D.The ability to fly your own custom bitmapped flag is a nice touch that sadly never made it to its lacklustre successor title. A lengthy potted history of the era is fully narrated and focusses on the rotten skanky pirates that held the region to terror, such as Edward Teach, Ed Miliband and Annie Bonney.Runs okay on Windows 7 but at a very primitive resolution of 1024 x 768. No window mode possible.

Not a gameplay review just an NB to strategy fans that this version installs and launches ok on Windows 7 64bit Ultimate Edition! No idea if it remains stable.
