Bought to replace a ceiling rose that was fitted with a fickle PIR bulb. Should have bought this fitting in the first place.PROS: small form, excellent light output and easy(ish) to fit. Light turns on at a lux level when you’d have turned a light on, but not before. Light colour is warm white and marked as 2700k, but not in the least bit yellow. Fitted in a porch and the PIR activates immediately on either door opening and stays on for about 15 seconds after the last motion is detected. It’s also incredibly light so would be ideal for say the roof of a caravan/static bathroom.CONS: the dome cover feels cheap, not at all dissimilar to the plastic a milk carton is made from.

The light fitting is great, however, it only operates at 10 lux or below. I purchased it for a bathroom,but it will only come on if the lux is below 10 i.e. dark. So not suitable for my use unfortunately.Otherwise, the fitting is ok, it is simple to install. the cable to connect the shade/pir to the main fitting was a bit awkward to clip together, as the wire is short. I was worried that the lumens might be too low, but it gives ample light.There are no settings to adjust the lux level or the time.

Pretty awesome. Honestly - from box to working light took just 15mins, including removing my old light.If we’re picky we could complain there was no screws/raw plugs for mounting to ceiling but luckily that wasn’t a problem for me.Connect the live, neutral and earth wires from the ring and then snap connect the light fitting to the base unit and you’re done.Light sensor works fine for my porch, stays on about 30sec or so after I’ve passed through.Well done Prime, next day delivery too.

Great concept, placed this is my utility room to make it easier to avoid the need to switch lights on and off whilst carrying things. Only problem I have found is that the light goes off relatively quickly after no motion is detected, usually a good thing but not so good when I’m kneeling to empty the washing machine and then it goes dark all of a sudden ?Would be fantastic if you could select the duration the light stays on after motion is detected.

I bought this pir ceiling light to put in a dark hallway just inside back door the only two problems I had was the screws into the lights main wiring box were very small and flimsy and could easily be damaged other problem was that the actual dome cover that held the pir wires are not long enough and again once again could easily be damaged,But saying all that I’m very pleased with the overall system and would buy another .

Bought the 6W version of this light for a small cloakroom/cupboard. I replaced an Ikea Stotta which was eating AA batteries for fun, with this and meets my requirements perfectly.It’s not a ‘high quality’ fitting by any stretch of the imagination, but not is it priced to be. It offers great value for money, with very acceptable quality and superb functionality.

Solid bright "normal" looking light.Would be five starts if:1) Case / Cover wasn't so soft. Felt cheap, but once in place, you should never need to mess. So I imagine its comprise between price / material and light transmission.2) If you could tailor or adjust the time the light was one.

Good for my porch, wanted an led pit light for the porch- this is perfect, fairly straight forward to install, I wish I could of chosen the 6000k colour though- it is a bit too warm for a porch, overall-recommended (if a little expensive)

Works brilliantly and PIR is really sensitive. We used it for a walk through to our garage. Can't comment on the installation as our electrician fitted it but he didn't complain. Saw same product In wickes for a lot more money.

Motion sensor works very well. the light output is great. Has worked very well for my garage. Nice warm white. Doesn't feel clinical. Fantastic. Another great phillips product

Good light, you will need an additional single connection block to facilitate a return from you switch, terminals not big enough for in and out circuit just single supply

Fairly easy to install and works well for small spaces. Sensitivity and time on is not adjustable, but effective for a hallway or porch. Not weather proof.

Very easy to install, my only gripe would be that I wish it activated while there's a little more light, or had an adjustable option

Just the right amount of light for my 3" x 6" hall way and saves having to fumble around for a light switch.

Not as bright as I would have liked and an adjustable timer would have been a great benefit.
