I've tried a number of LED GU10 bulbs as replacement for halogen versions, and these Philips are by far the best. The quality of the light and colour is warm, the units remain completely cool to the touch and provide 100% light intensity immediately you switch them on. Compared with others (both cheaper and more expensive versions), they are excellent and worth the cost. I do agree that they are only equivalent to a 35W halogen one - they aren't bright enough to replace a 50W. I hope Philips brings out a 50W replacement version soon!

Very nice warm light, with a narrow beam that would suit replacing 35W halogens (as advertised by Philips).I tried replacing a 50W halogen with this and it didn't work, beam too narrow and not quite bright enough. No big surprise there. My failed attempt aside, this is the best LED spotlight I've found so far having tried 5 other ones before it.Recommended and worth the extra cost.
