Lets get one thing clear -LAUNCH TITLES ARENT PERFECTgive the poor games developers some credit here! The consoles just been released and they havent had much time to come up with something to showcase its unique, and considerably advanced technology! That being said PDZ is an excellent attempt! It is rumoured that PDZ's Graphics are similar to that of the original x-box. And this would be true, if you used your x-box only to watch DVD's!These graphics are incredible! Sure its not quite live action footage but its far advanced to the predecessor! Incredible texture rendering and realistic movements are only slightly let down by the Water Graphics that resemble the PS2's early attempts! My firsthash at the training mission was completely destroyed by my sheer shock at how beautiful everything was!In terms of game play i found it slightly difficult to get used to the very specific aiming requirements and incredibly accurate sensitivity. Having Played Halo2 almost nonstop since its release I was expecting another 'shoot em up' where i could tear through the levels killing countless people in a few easy shots. Instead i was given a more Metal Gear Solid method of gameplay, employing stealth, cunning and very precise aiming that takes a while to get the hang of, but is well worth the effort! What with the enthusiams towards x-box live, and the continuing lust for multiplayer formats, the narrative single player game may well be heading for extinction. But if its on its way out its going down fighting! I found the storyline gripping and compelling, but lets remember im a Metal Gear and Halo fan, i like to be shocked, enticed and confused! If your a fan of safer, more comfortable genres like Spyro the Dragon, or Disney you should probably give it a miss! That is not to say however, that the game will render itself useless to you! Oh no! Although nothing yet created rivals Halo 2's Addictive Split Screen Battles, PDZ gives it a really good try! Not quite the adrenaline fuelled speedy fury i expected, but a much longer, and more cunning game employing the use of trickery and stealth. Excellent fun and worryingly addictive, if a little difficult to pull off when everyone can see what your doing! Which is where xbox Live comes in. The ability to combat up to 50 people online gives a whole new lease to the concept of online gaming! Were talking about an actual War Zone, with up to 50 REAL LIFE oponents. The AI in the game, while marked high on current standards, by no means harness the abilities of the hardware! For a launch title i was hoping for multiple character types, emotions affecting the enemy and unpredictable manouvers surprising you at every turn. However the predictable 'run over to player and shoot them until dead' approach seemed a waste of such potential. BUT never fear, because you still have xbox live, and fighting 50 12 year old computer nerds, with their headphones on calling you an 'ENGLISH ASS' throws all those worries out the window!Let us remember, this is a launch title! the xbox was launched on HALO, Although lacking the originality and power of Halo's release PDZ definately takes a huge leap in the world of First Person Shooters, one that any fan of the genre would be foolish to ignore! If you compare the gameplay, speed, graphics and originality between Halo and Halo 2 you see a huge difference, despite them being on the same console! Software development is an ever evolving art form. One that will not be perfected on this console for a few years yet! And PDZ Is one small step for Microsoft, but one giant leap for us eager, thumb twitching fans!I wouldnt reccomend buying this game if you dont intend to take advantage of its multiplayer content! Although i found the narrative mode very entertaining it could easily irritate a less patient person! You will be killed many, many times and usually have to start from the begining again and again before you discover the exact way to complete a mission. To me this added to the realism and playability of the game! I became obsessed with completing each mission and would constantly sacrifice myself to learn something helpful! But definately not one to pick up to RELIEVE stress!

I was one of the lucky individuals who actually managed to get a 360 on release date.i got perfect dark zero and an extra controller with it as i loved the multiplayer from the original N64 title.I have to say this game has everything i was looking for in a launch title.I have been playing it with mates all weekend pretty much and we all were most impressed. The one player story mode is great, with some really fun levels and some originality shining through also.It only took me about 6 hours to complete it on agent difficulty and it was really easy, but there are 3 other possible higher difficulties and i can tell you, those are certainly a challenge! great fun. and intelligent AI also. Then theres the visuals....nothing short of amazing throughout. They never let up. Even in split screen whilst playing 30 other people via XBOX live, Lag is hardly ever a problem. The deathmatches and various other similar matches (like capture the flag, CounterStrike equivelent mode, base defense, etc) are all great fun and well made.Online is by far the best feature. Its really easy to set up and use but also great fun and a good laugh.Overall, rare have done an excellent job with this title, and its just as good (if not even better) than titles such as Goldeneye, Original perfect dark and the Timespliters series.

This game rules. It's so satisfying just pulling the trigger and anihilating some poor guard. The graphics are the best I have ever seen on any game ever. You may be hearing that a lot in 360 game reviews but here we really mean it.It may not be as fun as Quake 4 at first because of the stealth element but You can be sure once you complete it you will come back for more, especially if you're a perfectionist, because you'll always try to get to the end of a level without being shot or seen etc.Try and imagine the first time you played Halo and this will give you some idea of how great an impression this game makes.I got this game upon release along with 6 other games and this is the only one i still play.I got Ghost Recon today as well but I played it once and next to this it looks pants, plays badly and sucks allround (mind you even if I had'nt played Zero I would say the same).Overall this game has a very solid well made feel to it with excellent Goldeneye (N64) reminiscent multiplayer, cool weapons and brilliant AI.The only faults are that it is a bit too short and the storyline doesn't exactly grip you.

Now I have only played the original Perfect Dark on my N64 once and although it was good, I found it very hard at the time and soon lost interest in a way. However I heard that it's sequel available on the Xbox 360 was one of the best blast em up spy thrillers of recent years. So after seeing this pre-owned at my local Blockbusters I decided to get it and those rumours are right. Although I have not yet completed the game, this is one hell of a blockbuster! You'll constantly find yourself pitted against the odds and dodging gunfire and explosions the size of the effifel tower. You'll find yourself piloting some cool vehicles as well. The graphics are great and gorgeous. There are also lots of nice touches as well such as when you shoot an enemy dead their bodies DO NOT dissappear for once!. There will be glass shattering, machine exploding mayhem galore. In fact there is so much action going on all at once, it makes Die Hard look like a girl scouts sunday picnic!Buy this I strongly suggest you if you like James Bond-style games.

This game has all is needed for the average gamer, great graphics, a half decent story mode and a co-op mode that is pretty impressive to. Xbox Live certainly takes it to a new level though, with dark ops mode there are game types similar to counterstrike, you can decide what weopons you want and buy them, earning credits for this by making kills etc. However, don't expect too much realism in multiplayer as enemies do take a lot of bullets to kill, unless you get that elusive head shot. Online is fantastic and the game is worth it just for that, loads of game modes and players that actually match your level of playing! Multiplayer without live is good too though, sa you can battle aginst bots in various game modes.A verdict of about 90% is fair, as ther could be as for gamers looking for realistic amounts of bullets to kill people will perhaps find PSZ a bit frustrating, although on single player it is a lot easier to rack up kills. A tactical Halo, this game certainly rocks my world. If you have xbox live, buy it!!

So I got this game cause it looked the most appealing out of the launch line-up. The storyline is so-so ranging from being blockbuster to lacklustre, mostly just due to the level design and story as the gameplay everywhere is top notch. Multiplayer is amazing even just against the computer, for fans of faster games there is the deathmatch which is faster combat. And for those with Xbox Live or fans of system link you can play Dark Ops, slower round based combat that is the best part of this game. Graphics overall are amazing and the explosions are some of the best I've ever seen. Overall if you've got broadband (and Xbox Live), plan on getting it or have friends who regularly play your games with you then buy it.If your buying this for the storyline then don't bother or else rent if your using this as a decider for getting Xbox Live. So in conclusion: Multiplayer is really cool and single player is kinda kack.

You have to look at the fact that it is a launch title for the 360. Where i have read where people have said how terrible this game is, I was shocked. Trust me, this game is better thatn people have said it is.The graphics are beautifully detailed, with no flaws whatsoever. Its a great game to play aswell. You have great fun while playing, and its absolutely amazing online! There's no trouble getting used to the controls, and you soon find yourself killing bad guys with ease. You don't have to worry about the fact that you're a woman. That doesn't make her any less aggressive.Co-op is also a lot better than a lot of the original XBox games I played on.I love this game and can't seem to put it down.If you buy this game, you deffinetly won't regret it. Mabye not as good as Halo 2, but still an absolutley flawless and well put together game.5 Stars and a big thumbs up!

I was told Perfect dark was a dreadfull game and after seeing video reviews of it i thought the same. It had some spare money on me about 3 weeks ago and decided i would buy a new 360 game. Although i didnt plan on getting Perfect Dark at all i bought it and later that day i went home and played it. To get used to the controls i started off on the main campaign mode which in my eyes is terrible the worst 360 game ive played so far, BUT! even tho i thought it was terrible i decided to give it a go on xbox live and after playing one or two games i was addicted if you have xbox live this is definetly a game worth playing. There are lots of differnt crazy weapons, lots of players at once and two vehicles hovercrafts and jetpacks. You can earn your self lots of achievments playing on live too. If you have Xbox live GET THIS GAME!!!

Perfect Dark offers a good multiplayer mode and a not so good single player mode. Multiplayer offers 5/6 different maps and 2 different vehicles. On multiplayer you can play against your friends on split screen and you can play against a bot. On multiplayer you have a wide range of weapons from pistols to rocket launches and you can get in two different vehicles, one is a jetpack that can fly and has a machine gun attached and the other is a hover craft that takes two people to use (one the machine gunner and the other a driver). single player offers different levels to unlock after you complete the level before that level and has lots of different weapons to pick up on your way.Although single player is not my fraviot bit of the game it is definitly worth the money for multiplayer.(does not have xbox live play)

This game was the second I bought for the xbox 360 and it absolutely blew me away! The graphics are better than that of the highest spec computers and that's not just an oberservation from eye, it techinically has. Stuff all, who say its similar to the Xbox because it definitely isn't. I'm saying this and I havent even got a HD TV. The story line, although pretty naff is overcome with the wealth of well choreographed levels and amazing weapons. It is definitely a must for anyone who owns a Xbox 360, its practically a reason to but it on its own! I havent even mentioned the great multiplayer options and is guranteed to keep you hooked for a long time after the campaig, especially on the superior xbox live service.

When I picked up this game, I thought; ‘O dear. You’re a girl.’ I really couldn’t imagine this. But I was told what a great game it was, so I thought I’d give it a try. And I must admit that I am very sorry to have ever said that. I was so wrong. This is definitely the best game I own on the 360, and it’s the only game I seem to be playing on.Live on this is also amazing! Great fun. This game just screams great quality and is just overall a fantastic game. The graphics for instance; totally flawless! I just fell in love with it as soon as I turned it on!If there’s one game you’re going to buy with your new 360, let it be this!Definitely 5 stars and thumbs up.Brilliant.

....if you want an immersive fps for the 360 to play OFFLINE then get call of duty 2. If you want a great multiplyer game to play ONLINE (or offline with bots) get perfect dark zero. The single player of pdz isn't great, but online it ROCKS!!! Whereas with call of duty 2 the online it terrible but the single player is amazing.Simple!!The great things about PDZ...I've had upto 16 players on a lag free game (unlike my experiences with halo 2)The guns and gadgets are excellentThe visuals are very impressive. The multiplayer arenas are great. There is lots of variety in the games which should keep them interesting for a long while.See you online...?

28.2.2012

Campaign overall is not worth playing for the achivements, as 80% of the achivements are multiplayer achivements.I rate the campaign with 2/5 stars and the multiplayer 5/5 stars, as unlike most games the multiplayer is offline and you can earn the achievements both offline and online.I would recommand this game only if your intersted in mulitplayer games, plus it is very time consuming for that 1000/1000 GS

This time Rareware have done themselves proud... actually this isn't the first time but they have delivered the prequel to the original smash hit on the Nintendo64. I can say nothing other than this game is awesome with a capital A. Plenty of levels and weapons at your disposal, and diffiuclty settings that challenge even the most skilled of gamers. although this is ironic to say, this game is PERFECT!

Truely amazing title: this game is able to deliver an incredible style in everything - graphics, soundtrack, characters and storyline. Not only that but it has an incredible gameplay with a mixture of different genres that matches its style.Definite flagship title for 360 launch.Next-gen game for a nex-gen console. If you are getting one title for 360, make it PDZ!
