This toy can be used for ages ranging from 2 to whatever age u like. The 2 year old can name the pictures and makes a long line of fitted jigsaw, the 4 year old can find the letters which match the word and fit them in while playing against the 7 year old who is given half the time to do the same job. The pictures can be sorted into living and non living and the game played along those lines, also wonderful to get the 6 year old to separate the vowels from the consonants in a given time. The timer is sturdy and performs well throughout unless highjacked by the baby! Good for Home Educators!

This is a great game which the children I work with absolutely loved. I used it from age 6 to 12 and they all loved it. I would have given it 5 stars but the egg timer that came with the game keeps sticking so the sand doesn't always run out. I have to use a computer timer instead. Otherwise brilliant.

I'm a big fan of Orchard toys/games as we have quite a few that are well played with however theres not much of a challenge in this one as it spells the word for you, you just have to copy it which is not what I bought it for.Think we played it twice but its off to school fundraiser at christmas

Fantastic fun and educational, my daughters 9 and 11 love it. Escpecially good for my younger daughter who has learning difficulties really helps with her spelling of basic words. But great family fun for all ages, this is a fast paced word game!

This is a great game, which makes learning to form words fun. Our (just) 5-year old grandson is very keen to read and we wanted to foster his interest at this early stage, so bought this for his 5th birthday. Tremendous fun and very good value.

I bought this for my eldest daughter to help with spellings. We have played it a couple of times up to now but there is lots of fun to be had when you are racing against the egg timer to find the correct letters, and in the correct order.

I bought this as a 5th birthday present for my God daughter, requested by her mum. I haven't actally played the game but have given 4* for it's speedy delivery and sturdy packaging and also as I've never played a bad 'Orchard Toys' game.

I use this game for my ESL lessons with little children. It is great to help with letter sounds and reading. It is fun and using the timer when they get more confident with their word recognition adds to the excitement of the game.

My 5 year old daughter is learning to read and write and this games makes that fun both for her and me - mainly thanks to the excitement added by the timer. A really fun game when you get bored of spelling games!

My grandsons were a bit young for this game so we ignored the rules and played looking for letters and matching letters to words and putting the pieces together in long strings of words they found hilarious.

Bought for my 5 year old son. Great game that encourages recognition of letters and spelling simple words. As always with Orchard games this is great value for money for a fum, educational toy.

I bought these for my nephew to help him learn to read. I encouraged him to read without the pictures, so tweaked the "game" a little, but it was fun, and we ended up building our own words.

i bought this for a 5 year old, the game comes with a timer and he found it really frustrating and hard but i took out the timer from the game and he now enjoys trying to spell the pictures

My 5 year old grandaughter has enjoyed playing this game which is educational and fun. As she has just started school she is learning to spell and was able to spell the words in this game.

This is a good word learning game pitched at the right age group at the lower end ie 5 years. It is labelled as for 5 - 9 years but anyone over 6, I believe would find it a bit boring.
