This TV produces a superb picture, with plenty of options to customise the look and feel to suit your own preferences. The picture is crisp and very clear in 4k HD which is noticeably better than standard HD. Program listing can be customised to suit your own favourites. I've put all the HD broadcasts onto one menu, along with channels I usually watch, to save looking through all the full list of channels to find them. This is a Smart TV and comes with all the usual features of catchup, Netflix (if you subscribe), YouTube, Facebook along with lots of others. You can plug in a USB memory stick into the side port of the TV (but you may have a problem, I'll come back to that)and watch all your favourite photos and videos. I've created a video of my photos with music in the background - they look superb on this TV, it's almost like being at the cinema. Now to the ports at the side of the TV - accessibility is fine unless you fix the TV to the wall and are using a wall fixing that is not adjustable, if this is the case then it is impossible to get your hand in between the TV and wall. Fortunately, my wall bracket tilts forward at the top which gives me easy access. There are 3 HDMI ports, 2 at the rear and 1 at the side, which should be enough for most people, along with a headphone connection. The internet connection can either be set up wirelessly or with a cable from your router. There are also 2 USB ports on the side. At the back there is the AV connection, VGA, audio in, SPDIF and a YPbPr. The operating instruction booklet is too small, it could really do with being A4 in size, although it is available to download from the Panasonic web site and read on the computer. I was not able to mirror my phone on the TV. The instructions indicated that this was possible, however after contacting Panasonic Support, I was told that this feature was not available on my model. I was given this product by Panasonic to review as part of the Panasonic Reviewer programme.

When considering a new TV I am primarily interested in three things: the picture quality, the sound quality, and the features, in that order. The picture quality from this TV is excellent and the viewing angle is nice and wide. I sit around 12 feet from my TV and the picture is excellent at that distance. I also tried sitting 8ft from the screen and the picture was still impressively sharp. I liked the "Freeview Play Platform" button on the remote control which links you immediately to catch up and on demand services, and the Freeview Launch facility within the program guide, which links you direct to the appropriate catch-up service if required without having to go into the apps to choose your catch up service. Also, the High Contrast feature gave a richer and more detailed image. The sound quality is better than I had expected and for a fully immersive sound experience a compatible sound bar would be an inexpensive addition. I would personally opt for adding a sound bar, but the rest of my family considered the sound good enough for their needs. The features are adequate for most needs, but as there is no inbuilt satellite receiver a fourth HDMI socket would be useful. There are also two USB sockets, YPbPr for your analog component video signal devices and a VGA/PC connection for your PC. There is a SPDIF optical connection, an Audio in connection, and an audio/video connection, so you are well served for almost anything you require. There is of course an Ethernet connector if you want to hard wire your router to your smart TV, but I was able to go wireless even though my TV is around 40 feet from my router. Finally there is a "common interface" connection which at present is of little use in the UK, perhaps and unless you intend to connect a satellite receiver. I should make clear that I was given this television by Panasonic to review as part of the Panasonic Reviewer program. Nonetheless this is an honest review of my opinion of this very smart TV.

I have been slow to adopt a new Smart TV as I liked the sound quality on the high end TV I've had for a long time. Walking through stores and seeing an array of huge TVs at very different prices making great claims about tech I am not too sure about was daunting, but I had the chance to test out this Panasonic..... It seemed huge on taking out of the box, but easy enough to put together as it is surprisingly light. Probably to achieve such lightness, the outer shell is mostly plastic, I think this is pleasant as it makes the unit not look too big and it doesn't scream out at you when off. Initial set up is fairly straight forward, however as we live in an area with minimal Freeview coverage, everyone had to have a satellite dish; we use Freesat. This makes the initial set up a little cumbersome as the unit goes off to look for channels that it will never find.... Once that process was complete, then the connection of out FreeSat box/DVD player unit and a wired ethernet connection were readily set up. Our internet speed is good, so we could quickly watch Netflix using the dedicated button and also found apps for other TV channels etc to be readily available if not pre-installed. One challenge that did defeat me was navigating to adjust picture colour balance etc when watching a DVD... it seemed only to do this by going to live tv channel streaming.....the instruction manual was pretty thin about this too..... The picture quality is really impressive if watching HD channels/NetFlix/Blu-ray... really impressive definition and detail... and I am sure there are further tweaks that I can yet make...... Sound quality without a sound bar is definitely on the thin side, and compared with my old TV set up, a real come down. I am sure this would be resolved by a sound bar...... I was sent this product by Panasonic to review as part of their Panasonic Reviewer Programme, but the review written here is my own honest assessment as someone who is not overly technical

It's a large box and quite heavy but once opened and the stand removed the TV is remarkably light and easily handled. The stand fixes to the TV with 8 screws and due to its weight makes the TV very stable and fears of it toppling over are gone, or you can omit fixing the stand and hang it on the wall. On plugging in, the TV starts up in self configuration mode which consists of a few screens and once the questions are answered you are very quickly up and running. The user manual is unfortunately quite small and difficult to read, but there is online help available on the television, a larger printed manual would be appreciated should you feel the need to use it.Remote control is standard but with a dedicated NETFLIX and FREEVIEW PLAY button, there is also a user definable one so you can assign it one of your favourite's functions The pre-installed Apps all worked well and were fast to initiate, Freeview play was a pleasant surprise as I had not used it before and was very impressed with its content. Spent some time looking for the media player but discovered that when a hard disk or USB pen drive was connected it started the media player. The speed of reading the hard disk reading was good and allowed a very quick access to the chosen film or music, played all the content selected with no problems, excellent picture but obviously depends upon the original source material. When exiting out of the media player to access it again it is via the source menu to select the hard disk. The picture quality overall was very good especially the 4K content from NETFLIX and AMAZON PRIME, sharp, clear and no visible strobing on the content that I watched. For the expert there are numerous tweaks you can make to change contrast etc if you so wish but I found that I did not need to change anything Very impressed with this TV and would have no problem recommending it. Unboxing and setting up the TV was easy, we didn't even really need the instructions, although the icons explaining how to unpack it were useful. Attaching the stand was also very easy, I like how the stand looks, it's got a nice texture effect rather than it just being plain. I also really like how thin the edge of the TV is. It's also fairly light. Turning on for the first time, you are greeted with the set up options. It took around 5 minutes to go through the setup process. It actually found a lot more channels than my previous TV did. I love that it comes with freeview play, Netflix and Prime Video apps installed (you will need a subscription to Netflix and Prime). Now TV would have been an added bonus. It has 3 HDMI sockets and 2 USBs which is enough, I connected everything I wanted to with ease, I liked that it recognised them and automatically named them, they were easy to find via the menu. Going through the different menus and apps is easy and really quick at loading up. When we started watching the TV, the picture quality on the standard definition channels was a little dull, washed out and lacked a bit of depth, but this was easily sorted with a few adjustments. When watching something in 4k though, wow! Because of the size of the TV, you get easily drawn into it which I thought was great. The sound was also impressive, better than on some much more expensive TVs we've had. Although I connected a soundbar which again was easy to setup, you don't really need one as the quality is good enough for everyday use. We were all very impressed with this TV and would highly recommend it, especially for the price. It has the same features and quality we've seen on more expensive televisions. Even though we were given this TV by Panasonic to review as part of the Panasonic Reviewer Programme, all of the above is my own personal, honest review.

The television is very stylish and a modern design, very slim and lightweight compared to some televisions. I love the graphite colour stand which was easy to assemble using only six screws and is very sturdy.. I have been thinking about purchasing a 55in TV for a while as the current one I have was much smaller. This fitted perfectly on my television cabinet. The set up and installation was very easy with user friendly instructions guiding you through the process on screen. The remote control buttons are well laid out and easy to use and read. As this is wi-fi enabled I was able sync with my wi-fi easily and the most common icons such as Netflix have already been pre-installed as well as easily being able to select Sky and Freeview and catch up.Connectivity is good with 3 HDMI, USB and optical. The picture quality is vibrant and sharp, and when viewing 4K Ultra HD content is crystal clear due to the enhance pixels. The sound is excellent and as I had a sound bar on my previous television I don't think I will be installing this at any time in the future based on the speaker clarity and quality. This is an excellent television which I would not hesitate to recommend. A few friends have visited the house and this is now a focus point in the lounge with a wow factor I was given the product by Panasonic to review as part of the Panasonic Reviewer programme.

The setup went smoothly connecting to the WIFI without an issue. Generally, the menu system seems quite logical and quick. The instruction manual is within the TV menu and fairly basic, but okay. The ultra 4k picture is brilliant with great contrast etc, the sound quality is very good. The Freeview play menu is very good and easy to use. It connects well with our Panasonic blue ray player and recorder, the remote control connects to the active HDMI device, so we do not have to keep swapping remotes. It has 2 USB connections, where from the media player you can view pictures videos or play music etc. The picture quality makes for a great slideshow. It connected to the laptop, but seems to be limited to pictures and music files. YouTube casts fine from my mobile, but was not able to mirror from my phone. The Apps for YouTube, Prime Video Netflix work well, the Google app if you access your account, can view your email, calendar etc. When connected to the WEB browser you can use a usb mouse to navigate (certainly far better and quicker than using the remote control arrow keys). Shame the usb mouse does not work on other apps, e.g. when entering passwords etc. Note: I was given the TV to review by Panasonic as part of the Panasonic Reviewer program.

I thought a 55in TV would be too big, but it is not. A really good looking television that was easy to set up, attractive stand that was easy to attach and sits nicely on our existing unit The remote buttons have a positive feel and worked well. there are dedicated buttons for Netflix and Freeview play and you can add Amazon Prime icon to the Start menu.Connected easily to Wi-Fi via WPS button and all the various players( Iplayer ITV hub etc )set up from their dedicated icons. Connectivity is good with 3 HDMI, USB and optical. The picture quality is very good, and when viewing 4K Ultra HD content is amazing.Obviously you need good WI-fi to make the most of the features. Our Wi-fi runs at about 20 mb and the Ultra HD content from Netflix and Amazon worked very well with no buffering. The sound is very good a big improvement over previous TV`s, I did not feel the need to connect the sound bar, you can tweak the Dolby Audio in the EQ menu if necessary. This is an excellent television which I would not hesitate to recommend. We were given the product by Panasonic to review as part of the Panasonic Reviewer programme.

After un packing and fixing the stand which is nice and sturdy, i found the setup straight forward and easy to do, I was surprised at the amount of free view channels there were. You can customize your favorite channels which makes it easier to find and saves time. The picture on this tv are excellent crisp and clear, wildlife in hd feels like your really there. I took the same picture and put it on 2 usb pens, one in my tv and in the Panasonic i could not believe how much sharper and more detail there was in the Panasonic.then i tried 4k film from my Panasonic camera with equal results. I found the sound better than i had been use to,if your into a lot of movies a sound bar would be better togive it more of a cinema affect .The catch up is a bonus i have not seen that on a tv before Over all i think Panasonic are onto a winner with this tv. would i recommend it? 100% i would .Over the years i have found reliability on Panasonic second to none . I was given this tv by Panasonic to review as part of the Panasonic review programme

In everyday usage, upgraded from a 32" HD ready. Smart TV, so can watch Netflix (dedicated button! on the remote control), Amazon prime strait away. The menu system a bit sluggish, BUT almost 0 buffering time, even if it's a 4k program. Using as monitor for a PC I wouldn't recommend. It doesn't matter DSUB VGA or HDMI input, Windows or Linux, it can't handle properly a bunch of standard resolution, mainly in higher range from laptop / standard desktop PC. Usually big chunk is missing along all 4 edges. Based on my experience, I'd say, there is a firmware bug. Happened to me 3 times under 2 months: for example watching Netflix, then just it's stopped, screen went into black, power LED also went off, then the power LED start flashing in green, after cca 20-40 seconds the TV return to the initial menu screen and you can use again.

It took me time to make adjustments to contrast, colour, etc which only be done via Freeview, I watch mostly Freesat, I could not make adjustments to this screen. I found the instruction manual on-screen hard to follow, previous Panasonic I have owned had easier to follow instructions, what you wanted to know could be found in setting up eg. HDMI input, click on and a drop-down explanation would appear as what you could do, or what it does. I printed off the instructions to see if it was easier, these were hard to follow and find what you were looking for, no Index at the back of the instructions. I sure I am not missing anything, all seems to be working well and I am well satisfied with the product.

After using this TV for 10 weeks I now know the product much better. This is in addition to my original review The picture quality is excellent and can be fully customised easily to suit your preferences. Disappointingly, there is no option on the Freeview to record a program. I miss this feature as I used it frequently on my previous TV.. I was given this product by Panasonic to review as part of the Panasonic Reviewer programme.

Lovely TV but had set up issues - Home button on remote wouldn't work as we had a set-top box plugged in. Shocking after sales from Argos, excellent assistance from Panasonic, fixed in minutes with a phone walk-through. Bought for visually impaired, hard of hearing person who can see and hear the TV, and appreciate the difference of the 4k picture.

Absolutely made up with our Panasonic tv it really does make watching tv a pleasure even watching things we don’t usually watch so many options and free view channels picture perfect sound brilliant as we are both a bit deaf would highly recommend this T V to anyone who is looking for a fantastic tv that’s not so expensive .

Very good picture quality but it took some time to achieve an acceptable standard, partly due to the complicated remote control functions. Sound quality thru' in-built speakers not very good but then no flat screen TV is, regardless of make. All-in-all a decent TV and a lot better than some of its' well known rivals.
