Having for many years been involved in television technology, I had developed a critical eye for picture quality and would rarely see a flat-screen TV that was entirely satisfactory, or could out-perform the best of the final generation of analogue CRT receivers. However, this TV passes all the tests with flying colours and is probably, in this screen size, about as good as TV will ever get. HD picture quality is quite staggering and apparently flawless, and even standard definition is rendered to a quality that would pass for HD on lesser TVs, particularly those of the 'HD-ready' variety. In fact the sole limitation appeared to be the nature of the equipment used by the broadcasting station itself, the variable quality of which became self-evident.Sound quality, which has suffered badly in the race to produce ever-thinner TVs, is better than most, and people will generally find it acceptable, particularly after some tweeking of the graphic equaliser to provide a smooth lift to the bass and a reduction of the treble to subdue vocal aspirates.Installation and tuning proceeded remarkably easily and automatically, and the domestic wifi was detected without problems. A pop-up keyboard appears on screen to allow entry of your domestic wifi encryption key, but there was no instruction for how one was intended to save the key and exit this screen. Found largely by accident by clicking everything in sight, this problem needs to be addressed by Sony. The instruction booklet was no help. Once the wifi connection was established, the TV quickly performed a software upgrade without problems.A very pleasant surprise was the sensitivity of the tuner / demodulator which, on the extreme fringe of the Crystal Palace transmitter, brought in the weaker signals (like London Live) that previous Freeview tuners and TVs had not registered at this location. I appreciate that, as reported elsewhere, some desirable apps are missing, but as I'm only likely to use BBC iPlayer, this won't be a problem for me.This fine TV is among the most expensive of current 32-inch models available from any manufacturer, but don't be deterred; you really do get what you pay for.

Having considered various televisions within a similar price-range both online and in-store, I chose this particular model in view of the facilities it had to offer and the extent to which they met my own particular requirements. The picture quality is absolutely superb both in terms of access to HD Freeview broadcasts (which serves to limit the clutter of boxes and wires ) via the in-built Freeview HD receiver and when streaming my Amazon Video collection via the Amazon app.Sound quality has its limitations, but this is understandable in view of the fact that televisions as compact as this, (in terms of depth rather than screen size)do not have the capacity to integrate speakers of a size sufficient to compete with the best audio systems available. However, it compensates for this by encompassing a definitive range of means of connecting additional audio devices, which include optical outputs, as well as more traditional Scart and 3.5mm audio outputs. The latter waivered the choice for me in terms of audio capability, because it allowed me to use headphones that I was able to set at a level appropriate to my own requirements, whilst still allowing those using the internal speakers to set the television's volume at a level appropriate to them, or to mute it completely. As stated above, it has proved to be a television perfect for my purposes and I cannot be more pleased with it than I am.

Used it nearly two months. Pircture qualite pretty good, thought is 8bit panel what makes it worse than majority PC monitors and even some laptop screens. Smart? Not that much. For the moment with the latest software update you can't browse internet, because there is no dedicated app to do it and that what drags it away from 5 stars straight away. The second issue is with their apps. If you are using Netflix and for example and if you turn your tv off just by pressing power button on your remote- next time you turn your tv ON u won't be able to browse Netflix. Same happens with bbc iplayer. Some times these apps doesn't even appear. Then you need to go to wifi settings, clean log memory, turn off wifi, turn off tv, turn tv on, turn wifi on, log in again into Netflix and good to go.Sound quality -good enough. With a tv as slim as this you can't expect better than that although it got 3,5mm audio jack, for your headphones or any other sound system, as well as toslink audio output, so there is ways to expand your sound.Everything else works perfectly good. Happy with my decision and I hope we will get these issues sort soon.

We upgraded from a Bravia 20" TV, which had an excellent picture, so the Sony was an obvious choice (we are mainly interested in picture quality, not the smart features). The picture is indeed fine, and if the (Freeview) source is good the picture can be stunning. However not all is perfect The program guide is very poor, with no picture-in-picture of what you are viewing, and no program info unless you bring up a separate screen, very tedious. It is better to watch through our Humax Fox T2, which has an excellent program guide. Also when watching a 4:3 aspect ratio programme through the Humax the 4:3 ratio is maintained when switching back to a 16:9 broadcast, which is peculiar, exceedingly annoying and seemingly unable to be resolved.I don't know if the super picture can be matched by other manufacturers, Bravias have a reputation for a quality picture. So a fine picture, a poor dated programme guide, and an inexplicable aspect ratio glitch. Sound is decent through the set, we play ours through the hifi. Oh yes, there were no screws supplied for the stand. Only just four stars.

Really impressed by the picture quality and motion handling. As it's a 32", it's not the latest and greatest 4k but, it is full HD and for this size TV, that is more than plenty. I've often seen LED TV pictures with ghosting around moving objects but, I'm hard pushed to see any of these types of artefacts. HD transmissions look crisp and really sharp and standard definition also looks very decent. The frame is really narrow and the overall impression is of a high quality product. Set up was simple and the remote is fairly self explanatory. some minor niggles around supported apps. BBC iplayer is there but that's about it for main TV catch up services. Netflix is there with a fast access button on the remote.2 HDMI sockets may be a bit stingy these days but, it's enough for the soundbar and a DVD player. You also get a Scart (remember those?) And a USB so you can record or play back music, movies or images. Sound is ok for normal viewing but lacks real depth when watching movies. I added a Sonos beam which is an excellent addition.

I bought this WD75 32inch TV about 2weeks ago to replace an ageing CRT set which was working perfectly but was technically no longer viable. As the previous TV had been so good it was a hard act to follow for the replacement . I had issues with bright unrealistic colours and blurred images on fast moving pictures with modern LED televisions. The Sony WD75 had no such problems . The colours after slight tweets to the picture options are very realistic and the high refresh rate sorts out any high speed moving images..The sound with such small speakers was never going to be as good as the old CRT TV but surprisingly by altering the equaliser slightly it is a lot better than I expected .Obviously it would have been nice to have all the catch up TV options instead of just some of them but my Y VIEW box provides all thatso it is not a problem. To sum up , I am very pleased with the TV and as long as it proves reliable I would recommend it to anyone thinking of buying a new TV.

We bought this TV (32" screen) three weeks ago and are absolutely delighted with the picture and sound. The picture is very sharp and the colours are about right as received - we have not made any adjustments to the settings. The sound is amazingly good from such small speakers with no deterioration when the volume is increased - we usually have it at a moderate volume anyway. We are enjoying watching it (and playing with it) as it's the first smart TV we have owned, great fun!The screen size is right for the room where we watch it and we have no complaints. It's certainly one to recommend. Incidentally, we are Sony fans, this is the third Sony TV we've owned: the first one,a small but bulky CRT set lasted for 22 years and was still working when we decided to get a 26" flat screen one.We have had this for 13 or 14 years. It's still in good working order and we're now looking for a good home for it!

Reviews on which and tech sites did not make this appear a good buy but Sony as a brand in my mind meant a lot. Looking at many other brands and their features for the price it was very hard to make a choice . I suppose the days of a tv that actually does not take up most of the room it's in are numbered and small 32" models seem to be looked upon as a bedroom accessory now. The tv is good quality ,compact ,works out the box as it should and has more scope to be used in ways I never really thought about and it has good picture quality and sound . Most reviews on this item do not agree, but I guess like tea tasters , to most normal day to day palettes,we can not taste the subtle nuances that testers can .Maybe I am going slightly hard of hearing and losing my vision !! Its a good product that is not over the top and fits our needs so we are happy

This is proving a very good purchase with it's sleek narrow border design and excellent picture quality. We initially found the brightness and black/white contrast too high. However as the picture is fine in daylight we have adjusted the background room lighting in the evenings and improved things. The sound is adequate for speakers on a flat screen tv, but we' re using a pair of good multimedia speakers via the headphone socket for a fuller sound. Much cheaper than a sound bar! We have 3 devices easily installed via the HDMI and Scart slots all working well. Set up was simple but suspect the instructions and manual could be clearer for some folk. Only negatives - could have had 3 HDMI slots, and no stand-by light means I cannot be sure I've turned the set off at the wall socket as recommended in the manual! But all in all money well spent.

Bought because we have been very pleased with our previous Sony TV - 9 years, no trouble - but we wanted greater connectivity, like Youtube. We are completely untechnical people and have to be guided by what people say about the quality and so on. I just wish manufacturers would speak in plain language with their instructions. We do not all have degrees in advanced electronics. So far so good, though - brilliant picture and easy to use, although a bit clumsy to manipulate the mix with our BT box - too many handsets! We followed online advice and combined the purchase with a sound bar which has proved an excellent purchase, adding a range of sound "areas" - voice, music etc.in which the set itself seems to be lacking. We also wanted a set to fit a smallish living room unobtrusively, and this the 32" set does very well.

Purchased four weeks ago, the 32" Sony replaced a well used 17 year old 28" Panasonic, as this smaller screen size is no longer available. The Sony out-performed all other 32" TVs on display picture-wize, with lovely natural colours and no bleed when side-viewed. Paired to a new Panasonic player/recorder, it took a relatively short time to self set-up, but you have to read the books carefully to get it right. Now installed, we find the sound quite sufficient for our cottage sitting room, & the picture is excellent. Our home WiFi hub needed a booster system to eliminate buffering on 'catch-up', with all BBC & ITV available. We don't bother with Netflix or other pay-to-watch, but they are all accessible. We have had a Sony Trinitron awhile back, so if previous experience is repeated, this 32" Sony will probably see us out!!

Bought this model as it had a very good, sharp picture. It is to go on a wall so the step down converter (230V - 19.5V) is difficult to fix out of sight. We have a larger model and that has the same power supply so I guess it's across the range. Sony really needs to incorporate this in the unit. If it's taped behind the set, the heat generated lifts off the tape. That said, having the leads connecting sidewards helps to fit it closer to the wall. There is plenty of room on the back to do this. Sound is 10w and sounds like it. My Samsung sound at 20W is far superior and runs straight off the mains. Thin surround is smart, apps are fine and easy to access. Overall, the picture swung it for us but if Sony addressed the power issue and upped the speakers it would be untouchable in it's class.

The main reason I bought this TV is that I wanted it to play videos from a USB stick shot at 50 frames per second, done on my superb Sony AX53 camcorder. Our previous Samsung TV would cope only with 25 frames per second. It copes with those with brilliance, and I've also found that you can zoom through USB videos much faster than with the Samsung - so the Sony TV must have a superlative processor. There are many other features that I've not yet tried, including the wireless capability (which doesn't actually interest me). The picture quality cannot be bettered. One downside (the only one) was that the four fixing screws to attach the base to the screen were missing (the first things needed!),but fortunately, I had some suitable ones in my bric-a-brac.

Purchased this to replace an existing Sony KDL D3000 32" TV which was over 9 years old and still going strong. This product has the same size screen, but a smaller overall size - owing to the slimness of the surround. Sound quality suffers slightly, owing to the slimness of the surround compared to my previous D3000 - but this is common with all small size TVs nowadays. However the HD picture is first class and the selection of apps is reasonable. BBC iPlayer is useful - but it would be good to also have the ITV equivalent. This TV was purchased for the bedroom and is ideal for this location, or indeed anywhere else as a second set. It looks good and represents good value. All in all,I would recommend this product to a prospective purchaser.

Love the TV, easy to set up and use although initially things like 'guide' and 'info' wouldn't respond (they do now, strange.....). Dislike big netflix button in centre of remote. Find remote irritating around central button, often press 'home' instead of arrow down in error. Also v irritating pictures of remote on TV are reversed so for example, 'return' and 'options' buttons are shown wrong way round. Have, as yet, been unable to connect to our modem either by WPS or manually. Also disappointed no ITV iplayer......?? On the plus side TV super to look at, lovely clear screen and good sound. Love the ability to record straight off the TV onto a hard drive/usb stick but again this was tricky to set up.Whatever happened to 'plug n play'??
