This is an inexpensive introduction to smart home technology. In the pack you get a screw-fitting OSRAM smart bulb and one of their new mini switches.The bulb does not have multi-colour functionality and nor is it a 'tuneable' white light - where you can set the colour temperature from warm white to white light, close to standard daylight. What you can do with the bulb and the switch is dim the bulb. As it's a LED bulb it uses a small amount of power - it's a 8.5w bulb. That translates to around a 60w incandescent bulb - so not too bright at the maximum setting. The light colour is a fairly warm white.The small switch can screwed to a wall or left on any surface.

Brought this as it was much cheaper (from the warehouse) than the Hue equivalent., and I'd had another Osram Smart+ bulb before, so knew the quality. The bulb is perfect, is nice and bright and integrates perfectly with my Philips Hue network. The only downside I've found with Osram Smart+ bulbs, is that they have a slight lag behind Hue bulbs and that their on and off effect is a sudden on/off rather than a fade in on/off that hue has.The switch... Don't buy the switch expecting it to integrate nicely with the bulb on the philips Hue network. If you're using Osrams own network, I can't comment, but on Hue, it's not recognised as a friend of Hue. It's hard to get the switch connected, and once it is,

Ok so first things, first!The bulb works brilliantly. It hardly buzzes (though some colours do more than others) and all colours are available without the need of an extra app or bridge - unlike Phillips Hue! Yes, I am running this through the Alexa App straight into my Echo Plus and I have access to the full range of colours.Now onto the negative, I have knocked a star off as the little remote control doesn't work. No matter how many attempts to pair it, it doesn't want to! But I really don't care. The device feels like a retrograde as after all I want to speak to Alexa to control my lights not use my hands. As they say in Back to the Future 2 in the Cafe 80's, "You have to use your hands!

Very easy to set up.... worked well for me....I like the control and found this a good product to use...I've put it into a lamp and it works well....

Simple to set up and easy to operate. Loving the remote and the fact that they can be dimmed with the remote or used as normal. Very convenient!
