I made the mistake of not turning off the light prior to putting this bulb in and OH MY GOD MY RETINAS ARE ON FIRE. This thing is bright! It's been installed for 16 months now in an outdoor security light and is still going strong so no worries about longevity either.

I'm guessing it's fine, but the light I put it in doesn't work. probably the light is faulty not the bulb. if i find out the light is not faulty I'll change this review.

Perfect for my standard light. Used for a month so far on dimmer switch so can’t comment on longevity
