I have never owned a gaming mousepad before, but have used several. I will describe the unboxing below.Starting with the packaging, the Mionix Sargas M comes in a long shaped box in which the mousepad is rolled. There's also a hollow on the box to feel the surface of the pad. Opening the box didn't require any tools. Now comes the design, the Mionix Sargas M is given a very minimalistic look. Their logo is printed on the left of the pad in Lime Green color which gives a brilliant contrast with black. The shape of the mousepad is not a perfect rectangle, instead their is a little curve at the bottom.Next, the surface feels extremely smooth. As mentioned by Mionix, the Sargas is laser cut so it doesn't have woven cloth edges. This also reduces the spongy feeling of the mousepad. Upside down, the mousepad has an ultimate grippy texture of rubber. The grip is very firm on any smooth surface.Using my Logitech G203 Prodigy gaming mouse, this mousepad feels too smooth so I had to lower my DPI by 200. I tested the speed of my mouse drop on keeping the pad on a slope and then suspending the mouse from top. The mouse went extremely fast. Conclusion; with the Sargas, it is never recommended to buy the huge versions of this product i.e. Sargas L, XL etc. because the mousepad is optimized for super speed, so even on lowering the mouse DPI, you will probably never need a large space for hand to move all the way till the end. That's it for this review. I switched to the XXL version of the Mionix Sargas over from my old SteelSeries QcK Heavy just because of the looks and size, but I am pleasantly surprised in terms of functionality too.The Mionix Sargas is actually a bit smoother than the QcK Heavy and the mouse glides a bit easier. It is a bit thinner too, so it's less noticeable that it's even there. So far, it feels like it tracks very well but I'm not sure if it's better than the QcK Heavy. Time will tell, I suppose. I can't speak about the longevity of this gaming surface yet, since I haven't had it for long, but in terms of looks, size and feel, it's great. One remark though, it's not 120 cm as advertised, but about 118,3 cm long.EDIT: After using this for a couple of years, the above still remains true, however, I've noticed a con - the edges are not stitched and they fray after some use. It's not usually a problem, since I can just use a glue stick to stick them back on and it lasts a few months, but it would have been nice if the edges were stitched to avoid fraying. Rating reduced from 5/5 to 4/5 because of this.

This thing is pretty much my dream mat, I think this mat may be under rated in the eSports screne, this thing comes in any size you need and has enough friction so that I feel like I'm not going all over the place, but to much. The friction is low enough to give it a nice slick feeling when moving, at no point to I notice the mouse mat, which makes it perfect, because you should notice the mouse mat, your mouse should just glide in a way that feels natural, which is obviously subjective. But for me, it feels completely natural.Overall, I'd say this is the go to mat if you don't know what you want, definitely recommend this over the ever popular Steel Series QCK.

I was looking to replace my hard surface mousemat for something that's a bit softer and can bring out the full potential of my mouse. And, when watching a professional Overwatch Player, I noticed he had a mousemat that had yellow/black stripes. I looked at his Twitch Info page and found out it was called Mionix Sargas Gaming Surface. I'm very glad I bought this mousemat, I've been using it for a while and have no complaints so far. I recommend it for people who use MMO Gaming mouses.

This is a nice sized, smooth and quiet mouse pad. I've knocked off one star because, using Mionix's own software and a Mionix NAOS 8200 mouse, the surface quality analysis tool gives this a 40% score, whereas the surface of my desk (beech effect melamine if I'm not mistaken) gets 80%!That said the tracking seems perfect, so perhaps I'm being petty...

Great surface, edges are not fraying at all, perfect size for my desk as it leaves a little wood showing too, doesn't cover the whole thing like my previous Overclockers mat did.The Mionix stuff is really well made so I'm not worried about the mat deteriorating over time at all!

Bought one of these for a secret Santa gift. I was so impressed I bought one for myself, it's much better quality than I expected for the price, and compared to other "premium" brands it's very much punching above it's weight.

Almost a 5 star product. Got mine for about £16 and would buy again at that price if needed another one.Nice and big for full size keyboard, mouse and an additional device i use.

It's real basic and it's a mouse pad. It stays put on a desk so that's cool. The mouse works well on it. Not much else to say.
