Ive used this tent 3 times so far and it has withstood heavy rain and strong winds (but not at the same time). The "instructions" for putting it up were worthless, but anyone who has put up a dome-style tent before should be able to figure it out, although you need more than 1 person. It took 3 adults to get it up with a wind blowing but on a calm day My 12-year old daughter and I can erect it in about half an hour. It is good that you erect the flysheet first and then hang the sleeping compartments inside, so they can stay dry if it's raining. The tent is pretty spacious, with a good space in the middle (with a loose ground sheet)to sit in and store your gear .It is very tricky to get the poles supporting each of the 3 compartments at the correct angle to eachother, and we have always ended up with one compartment sagging. The sagging compartment wouldn't have been comfortable for 2 people and did let in some water when it rained. Although the compartments are wide enough for 2 adults, the person on the outside will have a sloping roof very close to their face. One of the plastic clips holding up the internal sleeping compartment broke on our first trip, but amazon arranged for the German distributor to replace it. Also, the stiching came undone on one of the internal straps, but i fixed it fairly easy with a sewing machine. The tent is pretty basic, but for a tent this big at the price I paid, I'm not complaining.

Was a bit tricky to put up for the first time as it was really windy. My advice would be to get everything out of the bag, peg the centre ground sheet down where you want the tent to be, then peg out the 3 separate sleeping compartments at the edges of the centre compartment ground sheet. Next lie out the outer cover and place the poles in all while flat. Then with an extra pair of hands start to bend the poles into position. NOTE: it may seem that the poles are too long to fit into the little clips at the end but the straps are adjustable so you can make them longer if needed! Then place the outer cover when upright over the top of the other parts on the ground. Then you know the parts are in the right place.Peg in the outer cover. Attach the sleeping compartments and tadaa! If only we knew this before! The first time we assembled the tent the stitching was being pulled rather tight on the sleeping compartments and it looked like it would rip. It didn't, but if you follow the above steps the top will align properly with the underneath and not pull! ALSO remember to clip on the little square over the top of the outer over before you begin putting poles in as this is the waterproof bit and can't be done once the tent is up! Double inflatable beds fitted perfectly in the sleeping compartments. Tent withstood heavy rain and thunder and lightening storm. Kids loved it.

I did a lot of research before buying this tent. I was looking for something that wasn’t too expensive yet really waterproof. I found lots of negative reviews on other brands and models around this price point and eventually settled for the Skandika Daytona. I took the tent to Glastonbury where there were numerous downpours of biblical proportion throughout the weekend. I spent the first day watching bands, fretting about the soggy mess I’d be returning to in the evening. Not one single drop of rain leaked through. I was amazed. Some of the reviews said it was difficult to erect and came with limited instructions. That says more about the users than the manufacturing – it couldn’t have been simpler. The poles were colour-coded and incredibly straightforward to assemble. One piece of advice I would offer would be to peg out the ‘back’ bedroom first, before the outer 2. That was the only issue we had. The inner rooms were spacious enough – we had a double airbed in one, a single in another and used the third for storing bags etc. The ‘living’ area was incredibly spacious, allowing 3 chairs plus room for more. It’s always a bonus when you can stand up inside as well. I would definitely recommend this tent.

Bought this for Electric Picnic Festival 2 years ago and used it numerous times! First time took almost 2 hours to assemble, despite the instructions took time to figure out what was what and what went where! Over time with three people who've erected it before we're now down to less than 35 mins! 2 people essential and three makes it easy now. Each bedroom has plenty of space for two people, double blowup bed and keep your own bags/clothes inside leaving the lounge area free. Have had up to 13 people inside the lounge playing Kings during the festival so there really is plenty of space. We even had a double blow up couch and two camping chairs at the time too. This tent is designed well, resists rain as you'd expect and strong enough to withstand a drunk person falling on it and a few peeing on it (ew). There's also a handy hook in the roof of the lounge too to hang a light. For the price would recommend totally.Don't know why but you're almost guaranteed to have lots of tiny spiders in the roof of the lounge by morning, who knows where they come from but the netting prevents them from getting in the rooms at least!

This is a good sized tent for 3/4 people although I imagine it would be a bit cosy for 6. The bedrooms fit a double mattress easily or a single airbed and a bag or two. The living space is generous and the high roof means that an adult can easily stand up. People have criticised the pitching instructions - which are poor - but it is really easy to put up. The yellow poles go in the yellow sleeves, the black poles in the black sleeves and the "keys" slot into the bottom of the poles. The whole thing then just pops into place and the inner "bedrooms" hang from the outer. I had it pitched in my garden within 30 minutes on my own (actually with kids helping.....) although it would take longer to get it all pegged out properly, gut ropes set up etc. We haven't actually used it yet but so far I'm very pleased.

Great value tent compared to similar 3 bed tents. We went away with a baby so was a little nervous about the tent leaking particularly as it was forecast to rain heavily. By end of weekend and extremely heavy rain for 1 evening and night, bedrooms were dry as a bone but living space was a bit wet by door as there isn't a built in ground sheet and drops started coming in at the top. This didn't prove a problem for us as we had a spare bedroom where we put all our stuff so small puddle in living area didn't provide too much of a problem. I must stress it was very heavy rain too! If you are relying on using the living space to store your things I would maybe go for something with a built in ground sheet. All in all I was very pleased with our purchase and would recommend it.

Its great! was delivered to us within 6 days and put it up in our back garden straight away. I am 14 years old and like it says in the discription it is easy pitching, but in strong winds you need more than two people as it is so big. It is able to sleep more than 6 people if necessary, and has enough room to put table, chairs and luggage in the middle. In the center of the tent it has a hook so that you can hang a lantern or torch wich was very helpfull when night fall. We slept in it the first night we put it up and diddn't leak any rain that came down that night and with stood a strong wind. I was able to put it back in its bag when disasembled as the bag came oversised when delivered. On the hole i am very pleased with this product and cant wait to use it again!

I have used this on 4 camping trips now one of which was during a very bad storm and it withstood it well, it is a great tent, easy to pitch (myself and my 7 year old son got it all up in an hour), great to be able to stand up inside. The sleeping compartments are large enough for a double airbed to fit comfortably with a little room left at the side, also has little pockets to store things. Only downsides are that although the water will not drip through the tent after rain or with morning condensation, if you touch it, or if your bed/bedding touches it, you will get wet. Also the groundsheet in the main living area is not sewn in so can get a little chilly when it's cooler. If you don't want to spend a fortune on a tent, this will do you well.

Thanks to a review by carlee Farley on the 10th July '15, leaving detailed instructions on how to put up the tent we found it very easy to do. As it doesn't come with very good instructions, so this was very helpful. We have even printed it out to keep with the tent for future reference. The tent is lovely, we had 3 adults and 3 children staying in the tent and loved the middle part if it and found it very useful. You can only fit 2 people in each pod but comfortably with a double/ 2 single blow up beds. It doesn't fit Camp beds in very well. It rained quite heavy on the the first night and not one drop came in, even in the middle part. Would definitely recommend, very good for the price!!

Bought the Daytona XXL for Glastonbury Festival.ProStudy - no concerns during the festivalSpace - enough room for 5 of us and all our camping gearMidBuild - erected by two people, relatively straightforward. We started by pegging ground sheet and pods out before setting up the canopy.ConsWeight - not a big con but was slightly heavy for two of us carrying and we were concerned the straps of the bag would snap.Pods - with a double airbed inside, the netting will drape very low to the person on the outer side.Overall, very happy with the purchase and will be using for future festivals, cannot comment on water resistance as It was very sunny.

This is the first tent I have bought and it was just about what we needed. I had read the other reviews and yes the instructions were a joke however there were slightly better ones on Skandikas website. We were 2 adults a 13 year old and a 6 year old and there was just enough room. Each sleeping compartment (of which there are 3) is roughly the same size as a double inflatable bed but the person on the inside's sleeping area feels reduced due to the close proximity of the sloping tent wall. That said it did the job and for this price I feel it is good value. There was no rain when we camped however the spec if correct means we should be dry.

This item was exactly what it said it was. The only draw back was the lack of assembly instructions. It came with 1 sheet of paper with a drawing of the poles and the canvas and that was it. That aside once it was up there was room for me to stand in the middle of the centre section [I'm 6ft 3"]. The tent dispelled all of the water[rain] that came down over the 4 days we used it. The photos were very desceptive of actual size of living/sleeping space. On the whole this was well worth the money. Though for an extra £10 you could get the Toronto which has more living space.

Tent was great for Glastonbury! There was three of us who had a room each with plenty of room for additional people. The only downside was the instructions were not that clear for people who were new to putting a tent up, however the review from Carlee Farlee really helped us! The tent was very waterproof as it rained quite a bit and there was no trace of water inside. The middle area was great for sitting in when it was raining as well! Very spacious and a great tent to enjoy our festival in!

Five of us used this tent for 4 days during a festival, it felt sturdy and lots of room for us and all of our belongings. Each sleeping pod can just about fit a double inflatable air mattress without touching the sides. Simple to put up and stayed up unlike some around us who had their tents destroyed by the good old English weather! As other reviewers have noted, make sure you have put the small cover on the vent above the main area otherwise you will have a puddle in the morning!

Very good tent. Withstood monsoon like downpours on its first use this week. We were all dry and comfortable despite the conditions. The living room is a little small but we knew this before purchase.....so no complaints. Our first tent purchase for some years and we are not disappointed. As with most tents, the first time we attempted its erection we experienced a little trouble but once tried the second time it was a lot easier.
