I really loved this tent, but only gave it four stars for a number of reasons - I'll start with those:I knew that the groundsheet wasn't sewn in, but I didn't realise how much of an issue that would be. If you're camping in fair weather and you feel pretty safe where you are, like in the woods, that's not a problem but on two nights we had a slight wind on our open campsite and it felt like we were sleeping under one of those colourful parachutes the kids hide under during rhyme time. I woke up numerous times in the night to double check that all the pegs were still in the ground - some were, some weren't where the ground was very soft and had to be hammered in again. That made the tent VERY flappy. The one night we spent in the forest we didn't have the winds, and it was fine. Also, ridiculous as this is since tents aren't exactly secure, the fact that the groundsheet isn't attached, we felt a lot more exposed. There are 'windows' around the tent which are very pretty but there's no way of closing them so when you're in your tent with a torch on, anyone can see in. Again, not ideal in a busy camp site. The windows that DO close only do so from the outside, which is terribly inconvenient. So for a tent for hardcore camping, I'd probably give it between two and three stars.HOWEVER.... as I said we did LOVE the tent. I think it's an awesome day tent for gardens in the summer, and it's a lovely tent for an earthy type of event. If you can camp on a dry enough ground on a dry enough summer (perhaps not in the UK!) it would be lovely to camp without the groundsheet or with only half of the groundsheet folded out so that you can feel the earth under foot.I put this tent up on my own (unless you count 'help' from a 3 and 5 year old as help) in less than half an hour the first time and just over 20 minutes the second time. It's marginally tricky, but doable. The tent is soooo roomy and spacious. Honestly, I've lived in bedsits with less space. Plenty of room for the kids to play in wet weather, and plenty of room to move. I'm tall (1.72m) and I could move around freely in the tent.I would put this up at the start of summer and use it for parties and play dates and everything inbetween The fact that you can open a door at the front and the back allowing plenty of airflow through cools it down and makes it ideal for summer weather. While I wouldn't put this down as the ultimate tent for all weather camping, it definitely has a place, and with a few tweaks (maybe Velcro for home made blinds and to attach the groundsheet to the tent?) we'll be trying it again next summer for sure.

When we read the views about this giant tipii we wasn't sure what to expect, all we new is that it was big, and could potentially be a disasterAfter a brief read of the instructions which to be honest are brief in them selfs we set about putting it up. We were in South Wales and was quite windy, there was 5 of us putting it up and it went up very easy for such a large tent, I'd say it took us 45 mins - an hour for it to be fully up, after a few needed tweaks of the guide ropes the tent was rigid and sturdy and as there was reports of a bit of a storm coming in we wanted to make sure it was ok. A problem we noticed strait away is that there is a type of skirt round the bottom of the tent were it meets the ground sheet it was flapping around in the wind making a lot of noise a a draft in,but after a few strategic wind breaks it helped prevent them flapping ....... A little. It rained 2 out of 3 days on our camping trip and hailed, the other reviews said water pored in which didn't happen at all to us, yes it did let some water in round the doors where the zips are but not bucket loads. To solve these problems we have tweaked this tipii with 20 "tarp clips" (£17.99) and a 2.5L bottle of tent water proofer (£16.99). We have clipped each section of the skirt down twice to stop it flapping and managed to seal the tent over twice, it's advisable anyway as its also a uv protector to prolong the life of it.All in all this tent should be the other side of £200 nearly £300, I don't think it's worth that but the money we paid for such a great looking tent with so much room, we've had 4 king size blow up beds in it and still had room to move. For £150 you can't expect it to be the worlds best tent but spending that little extra to get those tweaks makes this tent for us amazing.Hope this helps and don't let bad reviews put you off we didn't and we love it!

What a fantastic tent - it is (just about) possible to put up by yourself and once up it's sturdy, airy, roomy and very comfortable - finally a tent I can comfortably stand up in (and I'm 6' 3" tall) - I was so happy I didn't want to take it down but when I did it was easy to disassemble and fold away.I followed the advice of previous reviews and bought the UV/water proofing and the tarp clips (absolutely essential to ensure a fully dry enclosure at bottom between ground sheet and tent). The instructions for erecting are ok - a little common sense guess work is needed the first time to interpret some vaguer illustrations (I recommend finding someone's diligent demo on YouTube - might even post one myself next time it goes up !).All in all,I can't remember a time when I've been less frustrated and most happy with a tent - it's brilliant for camping, garden parties (in case of the threat of bad weather) or simply giving the kids a groovy outdoor playroom ! Love it ! ;o)

Update: After one use we stored away in the bag fully dry. Went to put it up and the stitching at the top has all come away meaning we can't use it again. Disappointed that this has happened.Bought this for garden parties and not for camping so it is perfect for what we want it for. Easy to put up but do not clip the groundsheet first as it says in the instructions. In the end we have not used the groundsheet as there is no way it would stay there without additional clips. Again not an issue as we won't be sleeping in it. Can't comment yet on waterproofing but seemed OK in the shower that came down.If you are a serious camper I'd choose something else but I'm sure you wouldn't be looking at this if you were

Excellent tent for BBQ or party's, used it for our daughters 15th birthday sleepover had 14 teenagers sleeping in it and worked really well. Ground sheet not sown in so took the advice of other reviews and bought approximately 25 tarp clips to clip the ground sheet to main outer material, this worked really well. Instructions to put up very poor but a little common sense and previous experience with tents we managed to figure it out and got it up in roughly 30 minutes, packing away was easy and managed to get everything back into the bag first time including the tarp clips and around 20 extra pegs which I would recommend using. All in all very pleased and would buy again.

For the price, this tent was great for what we wanted - place to sleep for people after a garden party. It was a good summer night with no wind or rain so can't comment on how it would stand up to bad weather and it did get surprisingly chilly. Bought some tarpclips as recommended by another purchaser which helped to secure the tent to groundsheet and would definitely getting at least 20 of these. All in all very satisfied.

Tis Brilliant!!! I bought this for Shamanic Healing and Drumming events. Couldn't afford canvas tipi but this is great for price. On the advice of previous reviews did buy some tent proofer tho' but dispite the odd rain dance as yet it hasn't rained yet ,so can't say how it is in bad weather. It was really easy to put up even for us - a 60 and 75year old- For the price I think it's good value.

This is a great product, just watch the way the centre pole is installed as it is clear that it could easily rip through the mesh at the apex. Ground sheet not attached to the outer lining, so may be quite well ventilated at night if camping! (There's a useful tip about buying some tarp clips to address this challenge). Made a great dance tent at a children's birthday party.

Love this tent. Easy and relatively simple to put up and provides a large open area inside. Perfect for glamping and a much cheaper alternative to the bell tents.Ground sheet and main tent are separate but have not had any issues with wind or water creeping in except through the windows when we forgot to secure them down. Highly recommended.

We used this for two weeks on a road trip in conjunction with our canpervan. It was fab. It was used as a play room, kitchen, party room and dorm. It is sooo easy to assemble, its huge, it gives you head and personal space. Dont buy if you want a rugged, mountain tent, but if youre a happy camper you will love it.

Massive tent, taking it to a festival between a group of us. Practiced putting it up but shouldn’t have bothered as it only took 15 min to put up completely then put back into bag. Only negative I can see is the groundsheet not being attached but can be overcome with tape ?

Took it camping. Eight of us used it . Weather was bad , wind and driving rain did not leak at all . Found leaves came underneath tent, but all in, it was a great tent for money kept us dry. Would recommend too friend anytime .

I followed the advice of another review and got some extra tarp clips and put some waterproofer on and this was good to go - even in shocking wind and rain. It looks great and is massive inside.
