Amaizing toy! My 6 years old son is absolutely facinated by it.A bit difficult to assemble for a 6-7 year olds, needs some help from an adult. Instructions are absolutely clear.Parts are of the very high quality. Once nuts and bolts are finally tightened the result is a very strong connection. Movable parts use different nuts that allow the movement and do not get undone!The functions: he answers to yes/no questions in a very funny way. Of course they are random, but hilarious! He 'dances' and 'blinks' his 'eyes' to the beat. You can clap a rhythm and it'll do it's 'dance'. Also hilarios to watch.

This is great, we got it for my son aged 9 for Christmas , it says from age 8 but he couldn't assemble it himself as very tiny nuts and bolts and fiddly components, however we did it together in 2 hours and he absolutely loves it, well worth the money, he wants to spend some Christmas money on a second one as they interact.I would recommend this 100% .Arrived well packaged.

Bought this for my 11 year old son as it states 8yrs on the box but I think that's a bit adventurous on meccanos behalf. Luckily, my meccano loving 40 something yr old brother was on hand to help, at some points it needed 4hands simultaneously. End result, a fantastic robot that I would highly recommend to any child over the age of 8. Happy son, hurray.

This is so cool- like the old magic 8 balls. Robot answers yes or no to questions as well as dancing and copying what you say in a robot voice.My boy loves this and asks him constant questions. Quite easy to make with a bit of adult help

My son loves this robot and has told all of his friends about it he loves to record his voice then hear the robot repeat it back he put it together with a little bit of help from grandad overall I am very pleased with it

Love it ! Love the voice recorder my son lost interest in building it so we had to complete it, would say it’s a bit difficult for a 7/8 year old to build on their own but once built he is fun, but no good on the carpet

It was very easy to build and once you finished building it, it did loads of things like dancing and answering questions. We had a great deal of fun building it and operating it was really fun.Izzy, age 6.9 years

Christmas present for GK's. Great fun had by all. Got this at a good price but can be expensive as the big day approaches. Will qualify by saying that the novelty does wear off after a few days but hey thats life.

I brought this for my grandsons 6th birthday, it was built within the day (with a little help from dad) and he loves it, can't wait to get him the companion. Highly recommend

To people complaining about the assembly, I suggest to have a look at what Meccano stands for, and direct themselves towards the nearest Apple Store for ready made products.

Read everyone's review and wanted something of a challenge for a nine year old who likes building things, this was defiantly a challenge but he loves it, value for money.

I bought this for my eldest grandson who is into these sorts of things - building, robots etc. He was thrilled and loved making it.

Good item. My 8 year old found it very difficult to assemble and i ended up doing most of the assembly, but functionality is good.

Son's Christmas present, he is still building it at the end of January but has enjoyed interacting with the head already

Bought this for my grandson for Christmas and its brilliant he was very pleased with it and it was cheaper from amazon
