This saucepan is a thing of beauty. It is small (very small, at only 7cm diameter) but absolutely stunning, as you would expect from Mauviel. The saucepan does not have a dark handle as is currently shown in the picture on the site, but I think it might be brass (my saucepans came without the manufacturer's box, so I don't know for sure what material has been used in the handle) and actually I think they look much nicer as a result.The Mauviel name is stamped/engraved on the side of the copper pan rather than the base - again, it is not as shown in the picture on site but much larger. I don't think it detracts from the piece.I confess that the main reason I purchased this saucepan is not to make sauces but to serve individual portions of food,

I am so pleased I found these little gems , after seeing them used in a high class restaurant from kitchen to table I vowed would buy some - so glad I did.
