The concept of this game is simple, but some of the sums on the cards are actually quite difficult to work out quickly in your head even as an adult. I'm quick at maths and so was alright, but even my very intelligent 9.5yr old (who is up towards the top of her class in maths) struggled at times. I suppose if you wanted to simplify the game you could remove the cards with the most complicated sums.Over all a great idea and great as an educational game. But setting this game for ages 8+ may be slightly stretching it...

I find this a great set of cards to help students between the ages of 8 and 12 to learn number facts and computation. We play a number of games with them i.e. The two mentioned on the back of the package: snap and a memory game. I would also recommend the Fraction Action and Clock Time versions of these cards. These games motivate the students and give them a feeling of success and satisfaction.

Considerably challenging. I use with my students in both a classroom and 1:1 teaching setup with students much older than 8 years old. Reinforces equivalents in mathematics, square root of 16 being equivalent to 2 squared. Great for a starter or plenary, or just to give the students a short break! Also great for home use to help consolidate classroom learning.

Love these cards. I have a lot of Brain Box activities which I use in teaching at school. These cards are good. They can be adapted for different levels by removing more difficult cards.

Item arrived very quickly. Can not comment on the product yet as I will be giving it for a Christmas Present. I am sure they will spend many hours playing this snap with a twist.
