I had a Mini, single AAA light, the one you are supposed to hang on your key chain. Well, my key chain is always too heavy as it is, so my Mini got lost regularly. I would find it eventually, except this last time; it really went AWOL!!! That single cell light is actually smaller on the outside, I think; it seems that sitting next to a battery, the light is smaller than the battery inside. So, I have graduated to a 2 cell, AAA blow torch!! It is easier to use and harder to loose, and did you know that if you take the head off, and set the base of the light in the head, it makes a perfect candle to light up the whole cabinet?? That works with the AA flashlight also, but with even more light.

I was looking for the non-LED version of this torch in this size, with 2 x AAA batteries & light enough to carry around in my handbag. This was as a replacement for an earlier version of this torch which I could no longer find in the shops here in the UK. On receiving it, however, I discovered that there is a spare bulb built into the base of the defunct torch. And I eventually tracked down a UTube video showing me how to extract the replacement bulb fit (fiddly!) and fit it into the broken torch. So I now have 2 of these torches that work! I don't, however, regret the replacement. The LED version is also fine & is indeed brighter, but provides a harsher light.

It's a good little torch if you are obsessed with CSI and want to pretend you are one. Seriously, it's light, pen sized and very bright. If you want a torch... Maglite is the way to go.The only draw back is that the candle feature doesn't work too well.A couple more last tips... When the batteries run-out, take them out and bin them straight away. If you leave those little suckers in there they will weld it shut and you'll never get it open again without seriously messing up the way the torch looks.Buy a black one... The Silver and Colour Versions look cheap, but if you do go black don't turn it off and put it down in the dark. The buggers little!

I bought this smaller maglite for close-in lighting around equipment--for example, reading the labeling on the back of a television in order to plug a cable into the correct place. This light excels at that kind of task. It's small enough and lightweight enough to hold in your mouth, and it is plenty bright enough up close. The beam is not bright enough for far-away lighting (like down a hallway), but it's good for signaling someone not too far away, too. It's the usual high-quality maglite construction. The package I received came with two batteries (duracell) and a clip.

Our grandkids were always borrowing our flashlights to play either outside or in the closet. So, I ordered 3 of these for them. So, instead of running down the batteries on our house flashlights, they play with these. Really indestructible. Perfect for our 4-6 year olds. They can't break them and the AAA batteries are much cheaper than the larger flashlights. They are only 5 inches long so perfect for them. Will easily fit into a pocket. Ok for small or tight areas. But light will be a little weak for most adult use.

Do you really need more information? It is virtually indestructible and a nice red color so you can find it when you put it down. This is for the AAA version which is tiny, has a bit less lite output than the AA but ... it fits in the pocket easily and will work when you need it.Great for close up work with the light stuck in your mouth ... I tested it that way and they could do something about the flavoring but what the heck, it's a flashlight, not a licorice stick.

This is an excellent little torch for the price. Supplied in a presentation box with batteries and a pocket clip, this torch features an all metal design that will survive anything you throw at it. I bought it primarily for light painting photography as the top can be removed to uncover the bare bulb. A spare bulb is also supplied under the battery spring in the bottom cover. Highly recommended to put in your bag or pocket.

I carry one of these in my coat pocket most everywhere I go. They are very handy and can be operated with one hand. Unfortunately my previous one fell and broke it's lense and has never quite been the same. Although it still works (after a glue repair of the lense) I decided to replace it. The new one is much brighter. Long live Maglite!

Maglites are great, dependable flashlights. If you leave any flashlight in a toolbox for years without using it, the batteries can leak and damage the light. This purchase was to replace one that I neglected and batteries became a permanent part of the light. These great flashlights deserve better so I will check this new one more often.

These are really good. They are very durable and provide a modest amount of light. One caution is that they can "turn on" by themselves and wear down the batteries. I take off the top part and wrap the threads with teflon tape to make the "turn on and off" operation harder, and therefore less prone to self turning on.

This flashlight is so small you can tuck it anywhere but it gives excellent light, both closeup and farther away. I have half dozen of these and always have one around. The only drawback to these is the bulb burns out faster than a regular sized light. But, there is a place in the bottom for a spare bulb.

This is a very inexpensive and high quality flash light. Even with regular use the batteries last a long time and the light output is exceptional. I used to own an older model that had an incandescent bulb and it lasted over 15 years, I wish it would have failed sooner so I could have purchased this one.

I carry this with me all the time. Fits easily into my handbag and has a powerful beam for such a small torch. Wide or narrow beam makes me feel much more secure on these dark late afternoons and evenings. A great personal purchase at a very reasonable price, definitely recommended

Love Maglights! Bought this one as a replacement for one I left the batteries in too long. I keep it in my car just in case I need a flash light. Much smaller than my old one, but the brightness is great. Perfect for glove box, purse, or pocket. Pleased with my purchase.

I like to carry a flashlight in my little belt case, and the AA (big brother) is too large. My old AAA size died, so I was glad to find a substitute (most stores around here only carry the AA size). It works great with my LED conversion kit that I use with it.
