I was first exposed to the Mini-Maglight while OPERATING OPERATIONALLY in the Jungles of Panama. Small, nearly indestructible, and seemingly waterproof, the mini-mag (with tactical red-lens filter, naturally) was the tool for any night OPERATION.Since then, the flashlight game seems to have become all about LEDs. I'm no Luddite, and I thought about getting the LED maglight, but It didn't come with the same lanyard and clip mechanism as the original. I didn't see the point in supporting this kind of one-step forward, one-step back engineering, so I went the classic, incandescent mag.When I want a more serious flashlight I will probably go with something LED, with all the variable lumen settings,

MagLite makes excellent flashlights, and this mini flashlight is no exception. The aluminum construction is durable, and the beam powerful and reliable. This particular flashlight uses a twist head to turn the light on/off, and offers a focus beam with both spot and flood light options, as well as a unique 'candle mode' feature (you can remove the light cover and stand the flashlight on it's end, creating a similar effect as a candle). The flashlight comes with a pocket clip, wrist lanyard, lens holder (with 2 filters; blue and red), a spare lamp in the tail cap, and the two required AA batteries. Highly recommend this product!

I've always loved Maglite and I'm certainly NOT disappointed in this one. This is nice heavy duty multi color light flashlight that very durable and easy to use. It's easy to switch between the colored lenses, just pop the rubber lens piece off and switch the lenses out, then twist the top of the flashlight to turn it on. It comes with 2 AA batteries, a clip to slide onto your pocket to ensure the light stays in place, and small wrist lanyard. It also has an extra bulb in the base of the flashlight and it's waterproof.

Nothing is better than a Maglite... I won't purchase anything else. I bought this one for walking the dog. I use the wrist strap while it's still dark, and clip it to my pocket once it starts to get light. It's the perfect combo pack for anyone who has be out around dawn or dusk. And it's a Maglite so the quality is exceptionalI also love the 'candle' feature (thanks to other reviewers for pointing that out). We lost power a few days ago but I was able to finish my homework by 'candle'light.

Always pleased with Maglite products, just need a cloth holder like they used to have and it would've been a five star rating.Metal is solid, light field is adjustable, excellent range, good for holding with my gun (due to weight and size), comes with various inserts (white, blue, and red) for when lower light conditions are desired, twist front of light to turn on, etc... Can't review it or help you much more than that... Oh, and comes with a wrist strap so you won't drop it as easily.

I needed a durably flashlight and my dad uses this type (Maglite) so I jumped on trusty ol' Amazon and sure enough, I found one brand new at a great price. It even comes with a red and blue filter (it also comes with a clear one but I just tossed it because it made no difference). This flashlight works very well. I'm planning on getting the LED upgrade kit for it because I need a way more brighter light. And I got it within 3 days of ordering it. Very awesome.

This little flashlight is such a bargain. It is as bright as a previous generation incandescent, non-xenon 2 D cell light. It is well made and very light weight. It is no where near as bright as the AA LED version of this light, but in a way that's okay. Unlike the LED lights, it won't damage your retina if you look into for more than a few seconds.I'm very pleased with Maglite that these are still made in the USA.

Was without power for 25 days after super storm sandy. Spent most of time with the mini mag light on my head using a strap bought separatly. Loved it was dependable and when the the bulb burned out there is a replacement in the handle. Had have a spare and iPhone was only thing working. Ordered a number of supplies from amazon and the light was first come along with a note from seller. Thanks.

The only reason I gave only four stars is because it's been my unpleasant duty that when it comes time to change the batteries in these small Maglites' that they won't come out because of corrosion. Maybe it's just be but I've taken so many back I can't count. We'll see, I just couldn't pass up one of these camo jobs. They are a great price from what I've seen.

Got this for both my brother-in-law and my husband. They both love it. My brother-in-law only likes practical things and my husband likes quality as well as practical. They are both very happy with this product. It is super bright, durable, and will fit in a pocket. It is very useful and great for any practical person in your life.

Also a downside is there is nowhere to store the unused colored lenses

My boyfriend convinced me to get this and keep it in my car for emergencies. It was a good call. This thing is very bright, and helps a lot when you can't be near a light at night. I always thought my cell phone light was fine, but now I know better. I just wish I would have gotten one sooner.

I'm thinking the next Mag-lite size up is better for my needs. Its a good light still. I guess if you're looking for a small mini light then its perfect. I'm going to buy a slightly bigger one and use this as a back up or a loaner when working with someone who doesn't have a light

This flashlight works great. Is small enough to fit in long pockets. Solidly build and has that brightness and focus maglite is known for. The additions are nice too. I really only use the lanyard but the bonuses are nice if I planned on putting this in a shirt pocket .

Product is exactly as advertised, it's a nice size to keep as a spare, and comes with 3 lens tints (clear, red, blue) although there really isn't a convenient way to carry all of them so you kind of have to decide which tint to use ahead of time.
