I suppose I'm the target buyer for a silent mouse. I work in the office with my wife and when she's studying she finds even the slightest noise from my keyboard and mouse irritating. We should just work in separate rooms I suppose. Anyway, for the last year or so I've been very happy with my little wireless Logitech M238 mouse. It has a nice colourful design, it's not too heavy. Doesn't have any extra buttons, it simply works. But I thought I'd try this "silent" mouse to see if I could placate my wife. It's a wired mouse so there is the slight irritation of having to contend with the wire, but that's not such a hardship. It has a red LED on the underside which my M238 seems to manage without. The grey plastic feels a tiny bit cheaper than my M238, but it fits in my hand a tiny bit better, being just a bit larger. Then there's the silence. Well it's not really silence at all. I asked my son who is still blessed with bat-like hearing and he could hear the button clicks from across the room. But I'm sitting here using it, I can't hear anything above 15khz because I went to too many Scorpions concerts as a lad, and I can just about hear the faint dull thud of the button clicks. But then there's the mouse wheel. The rubber wheel on my M238 is grippy and silent. The mouse wheel on this silent mouse isn't grippy at all so half the time my finger just brushes across the surface of the wheel without gripping, and then it makes a rubbing sound just like when you rub your own ear with your finger. Perfectly audible. I feel like I've replaced a mildly irritating clicking sound with a mildly irritating brushing sound, with the added irritation that my scrolling has become slightly ineffectual. And if we’re talking real silence, what about the other noises a mouse makes? As I scrape this silent mouse across my oak desk it makes slightly more noise as it moves than my M238. And when I pick it up and put it back down again to reposition my cursor it makes a hollow clicking sound as it hits my desk, slightly lower pitched than the M238 because it’s bigger, but just as hollow and noisy.I'll award it four stars because it's so cheap, but I'm only going to use it when my wife gets really angry with the quiet clicking of my M238 mouse.

Logitech M110 Silent MouseFull size | Corded |MidGrey with black detailing | dark grey cordThe is a classic shaped two button mouse from Logitech with scroll wheel. It’s corded and connects via USB.It comes in plastic clamshell packaging with an easy open system that actually works. The mouse is plug and play and was recognised on the pcs I used it with running Windows 8.1 and a Mac running OSX 10.11.In both cases the sensitivity of the mouse and the amount of scroll was adjustable in settings. This is a good and useable if basic mouse which really comes into it’s own if noise is an issue. The mouse buttons provide the positive feel of a click without the audible click you get with some mice. This mouse, partnered with a quiet keyboard, will make your work less distracting for colleagues if you share a small office for example.I find corded mice more reliable than wireless radio frequency or bluetooth mice and they don’t need replacement batteries every few months. The Logitech M110 is a good choice.

I have to admit, I have never really thought about mice as being loud to use. So the idea of a silent mouse initially seemed quite novel. However on reflection I have realised just how loud standard mice are. Instead of an audible click, all that can be heard is a light 'tap', barely noticeable in a quieter environment. I actually quite like it.The M110 itself is nothing special - a cheap shiny plastic design with a thin plastic coated cable. I have noticed a little more resistance when using the mouse on textured surfaces than I am used to, but nothing too obtrusive. The sensor on the bottom of the mouse is okay for day to day web browsing and word processing, but inputs are not smooth enough for gaming.Overall the M110 is a decent, low budget mouse. The design is uninspiring, but the quiet click feature is quite neat. Just be aware that a mouse mat would be needed to reduce friction (and therefore noise) when using it on computer desks.

Logitech M110 Silent Corded Mouse, Grey.Grey seems to be the fashion colour in 2018 for almost everything, Cars, Kitchens and even a mouse.Compared to my Logitech cordless mouse this one is much lighter and as the photos show a much lower profile. I do not miss the extra buttons on this much simpler cordless mouse. Two button and a scroll wheel is all I ever use as I always forget what the extra buttons are assigned as so they are little used.I would prefer a bit more weight and a higher arch but it is smooth and positive in use. I would not describe any computer mouse I have ever used in an Office environment as noisy so the fact that this is silent is an unusual feature. As for the fact that it is corded I do prefer that on a desktop PC .It worked straight away in Windows 10 and only needed. A tweak to increase the sensitivity settings in control panel was better for me.As it is symmetrical so OK for both left or right handed users.

When I opened this mouse I felt like I'd traveled back in time. Remember in the 90s you could get a standard mouse and it would be a standard sort of oval shape and have a ball in the bottom? It feels like this is following the design standards from those days. Even the "overcooked egg grey" coloured plastic. That said it does fulfil its main objectives, it's quiet. The buttons are basically inaudible in most environments. The mouse feels lightweight, almost as if there's nothing in it, I guess I'm used to feeling the weight of the batteries in a wireless mouse. It's not big, but by today's standard it is,many/most mice these days are on the small side. The cord felt a bit stiff and slightly tacky as if it's made out of cheap plastic.I felt that overall this is a fine enough mouse but it wouldn't be my first choice. It felt like a library computer mouse.

After a bad experience with a cheaper supposedly "noiseless" mouse which clicked just as loudly as a "normal" mouse, I decided to go for the known brand of Logitech. This M110 silent mouse was nearly double the price but it is, thankfully, silent.Or at least almost silent. There is a very slight "thunk" on clicking the buttons but much much quieter than a "normal" mouse. I want it for recording audio and can confirm that the slight noise of a click does not pick up on my recording software (Audacity) unless right next to the microphone. Even then it is so slight that listeners probably won't hear it.Success! Five stars.

Had to replace a normal Logitech mouse as I'd dropped it on it's head one too many times and it was giving a jumpy response. Looking for a replacement thought why not go for something quieter , hence the Logitech M110 Wired USB Mouse purchase. Works great, relatively silent, it's a mouse.

My bf was complaining about my old mouse making to much noise. I purchased this and was a little worried because it was value for money, it was perfect! I can click all I want and my bf can’t hear it!

I was getting annoyed with the noisy clicking of the mouse and so wanted a silent one. This isn't quite silent, but it's very quiet and it does the job.

This is a basic mouse sold at at a reasonable price. It does everything such a mouse should do so I'm pleased with it. It is indeed extremely quiet.

Best quiet mouse a left hander can buy (it's ambidextrous) & as it's wired,it's also cheap & accurrate. Comfortable too as it's full size.

Needed a silent mouse for gaming as the clicking upsets my household. This definitely does the job, is comfortable and performs well.
